Abstract

The aim of this research is to help children develop the language and communication skills necessary to survive in today's digital era. In the context of children's language acquisition social media has the potential to promote language continuity and support effective learning. This type of research uses a descriptive analytical approach to provide an in-depth and analytical picture of developments, views and findings in the related field of knowledge. The technique used in data collection is library research. This technique was chosen to explore a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of the research topic, by utilizing scientific literature, journals and other library sources to synthesize and analyze existing information. Social media is an application that requires an internet network as a tool designed to facilitate social interaction and is interactive because it can be used to represent oneself, interact, collaborate, share, communicate with other users and form virtual social bonds. In this day and age, technology has become a part of every individual, in fact many of us depend heavily on technology and the internet, where there are many sites including social media. Therefore, it is very important for parents to supervise when their children start using social media, especially young children, because social media has not only positive impacts but also negative impacts. For this reason, we must have a solution so that all the negative things that happen can be overcome. The solution that we can do is to supervise children when playing on social media so that they can reduce children's habits of saying words that interfere with communication, carry out socialization with parents, set time limits for children playing with gadgets, provide educational games for children, and invite children to play together.

Abstract

Abstrak Statistik kekerasan seksual terhadap anak menunjukkan bahwa anak-anak rentan terhadap tindakan tersebut karena kerentanan dan ketergantungan mereka pada orang dewasa. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, sangat penting untuk menganalisis pentingnya penerapan sex education untuk menghindari pelecehan seksual di kalangan anak-anak sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini merupakan tinjauan literatur yang berfokus pada sex education. Metodologi penelitian melibatkan analisis publikasi ilmiah, yaitu yang terakreditasi oleh Google Scholar, yang diterbitkan antara tahun 2018 dan 2023. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sex education sangat penting dalam mencegah pelecehan seksual terhadap anak-anak dan harus diperkenalkan sejak usia dini untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan mencegah pelanggaran seksual. Sex education harus fokus pada klarifikasi tentang apa yang boleh dan tidak boleh dilakukan, mengetahui fungsi organ tubuh, dan mengenali risiko dan konsekuensi dari kelalaian. Tujuan dari sex education adalah untuk memungkinkan anak-anak muda mengenali keadaan berbahaya dan mencegah potensi pelecehan seksual

Abstract

This study aims to find out about children's language acquisition towards children's language development at the age of 8 years. The purpose of this study is to analyze children's language acquisition at the age of 8 years who experience a phase of speech delay on their language development.  Researchers use qualitative research, and this type of research natural observation method involves observing and recording certain behaviors, situations, or events, without direct interaction with the subject. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach with natural observation methods. Acquisition techniques methods in this observation used 3 ways, namely interview techniques, experiments, and observations. Based on the results of data analysis, children’s language skills are influenced by the first language obtained and environmental factors that children live in. Another factor that affects children's language acquisition is the child's fluency factor, this is the cause of delayed language acquisition in children. Based on the results of the study, language development in children is influenced by the child's language acquisition process. The role of parents is quite important in this aspect of children's language development

Abstract

This research aims to analyze language acquisition in children, obtained directly and supported by several factors, such as internal factors from both parents. The initial language acquisition in children is found and obtained from their mother. The research method used is qualitative descriptive. The data collection techniques employed are observation and interviews. The research subject is a five-year-old male child. The results of the study indicate that the initial language acquisition in a five-year-old child is obtained through interactions with their mother. At this age, the child can utter several words and sentences commonly used in their communication with family and friends. However, the language proficiency of the five-year-old is somewhat unclear in terms of the original words and sentences. Interactions in the child's environment influence language proficiency and vocabulary knowledge. The child uses both Indonesian and a mixture of regional languages in daily communication, both at home and at school. The child acquires new knowledge about various words through school, reading books, and watching videos on YouTube.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to explore the acquisition process of five year old children using descriptive qualitative methodology. This research method is used to thoroughly describe how 5 year old children acquire knowledge, abilities and values in their development. This research collects data through observation, in-depth interviews, and analysis of relevant documents. This research involved children aged five years, their parents, and teachers who took formal or informal education. After that, the data collected was analyzed qualitatively by considering patterns, themes and contexts of children's learning. It is hoped that the results of this research will provide a complete picture of the acquisition process for five year old children. These findings may also provide parents, educators, and researchers with insight into the factors that influence five-year-olds' learning, so they can improve their teaching and support methods.

Abstract

Parents have a role in assisting their children in completing developmental tasks, including the development of language skills. Every action and spoken word of parents in the family and social environment will influence the child's language development. This research aims to describe the importance of the role of parents in the early language development of children in Kulon Progo. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research with analysis using the model by Miles and Huberman. The instrument used in this research is interviews. The subjects of this study are parents with children aged 0-6 years, and 2 individuals were determined as subjects. The results of this study indicate that the role of parents significantly influences the language development of children. The motivation of parents in developing their children's language abilities can affect and accelerate language development. Guidance or teaching provided by parents in a directed manner will align with the child's age, making language development easier and more controlled as the child grows older. The child's language proficiency is enhanced when parents consistently provide encouragement using something that aids the child's language development. Additionally, the environmental conditions also play a crucial role in the language development of children. A conducive environment fosters and guides children, making it easier for them to develop good and correct language skills.

Abstract

Learning media is an important aspect of the teaching and learning process in the classroom. The development of comic media has become one of the options for improving students' learning achievements. This research aims to determine the feasibility level of the comic media used in mathematics learning on the topic of fractions. The research method uses the 4D development model, which consists of four stages: Define, Design, Development, and Dissemination. The eligibility level is determined by measuring validity using a questionnaire distributed to one media expert and two content experts. The media validity results show a score of 4.9 with a percentage of 97.6%. Meanwhile, the validation from the two content experts shows a score of 4.3 with a percentage of 87.5%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the comic media "Learning Together with Alia" for teaching mathematics on the topic of fractions is suitable for trial with fourth-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

Pengembangan bahan ajar menulis narasi sangat penting untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis siswa. Namun, bahan ajar yang ada belum mampu membimbing siswa dalam langkah-langkah menulis yang terstruktur. Penelitian ini mengatasi masalah tersebut dengan mengembangkan bahan ajar menulis narasi menggunakan Metode Four Square untuk siswa kelas lima sekolah dasar. Dengan menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D (Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate), penelitian ini menilai validitas melalui lembar validasi ahli dan mengumpulkan data dari implementasi program pembelajaran serta kuesioner respons guru dan siswa. Efektivitas diukur berdasarkan keterlibatan siswa, keterampilan proses menulis, dan penilaian hasil tulisan narasi mereka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat validitas yang tinggi, dengan skor validasi ahli sebesar 88,87% dan 89,94%. Uji kepraktisan menunjukkan kelayakan yang sangat baik (89,47%), respons positif dari guru (93%), dan tanggapan tinggi dari siswa (94,25%). Analisis efektivitas menunjukkan keterlibatan siswa yang tinggi (91,56%) serta kinerja menulis narasi yang kuat (82,93%). Temuan ini mengonfirmasi bahwa bahan ajar menulis narasi berbasis Metode Four Square valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk pembelajaran di kelas lima sekolah dasar. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan alternatif bahan ajar yang mampu membimbing siswa dalam langkah-langkah menulis secara terstruktur, meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa, serta memperkuat keterampilan menulis narasi siswa SD. Temuan ini juga memperkaya kajian pengembangan bahan ajar yang dapat diadopsi dan disesuaikan oleh guru maupun peneliti lain untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran menulis di SD.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the representation and quality of children’s literature content in Indonesian language textbooks for elementary schools under the Merdeka Curriculum, a national education policy aimed at promoting student-centered learning. With particular attention to genre diversity, developmental appropriateness, and alignment with literacy goals, this research examines the extent to which these textbooks provide meaningful and engaging literary experiences for students. A qualitative content analysis method was employed, focusing on textbooks for Grades I–VI published by the Indonesian Ministry of Education in 2023. This study employs qualitative content analysis of Indonesian language textbooks for elementary schools under the Merdeka Curriculum. Data were collected through document analysis using rubrics, checklists, and BSNP-based indicators. The analysis followed Miles and Huberman’s model, with validation ensured through triangulation and peer discussion. The findings indicate that literary texts are presented in various forms, including prose (fiction and nonfiction) and poetry, with realistic fiction being the most dominant genre across all grades. Lower-grade textbooks primarily feature realistic fiction and fables, while upper-grade textbooks increasingly include nonfiction texts. The alignment between literary content and learning outcomes is reflected in the variety of genres and topics relevant to students’ developmental and social contexts. These results highlight the importance of designing textbooks that not only support language skills but also foster literary appreciation and character development through contextual and meaningful texts. The study's outcomes are expected to contribute to the development of more effective and engaging Indonesian language textbooks, ultimately enhancing the quality of literacy education in Indonesian elementary schools.
