Abstract

There is evidence that an ethanol extract from the leaves of the kalakai tree (Stenochlaena palustris (Burm F.) Bedd.) may provide ultra-protective sun protection. The purpose of this study is to analyze the stability of a sunscreen spray gel composition that contains an ethanol extract of kalakai leaves. We used a rotary evaporator to concentrate the kalakai leaf ethanol extract until it was thick, after macerating the leaves in 70% ethanol solvent. A spray gel formulation containing EEKL was subsequently created, with EEKL concentrations of 5% (FI), 7.5% (FII), and 10% (FIII). The physical stability of the EEKL Spray gel formula was examined by six cycles of the cycling test technique in a climatic chamber with temperatures of 40°C ± 2°C and 4°C ± 2°C. Organoleptics, consistency, thickness, pH, adhesive spreading ability, and spray pattern are some of the tests that are conducted. Using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer set at 290-320 nm wavelength, the sunscreen test was conducted. A t-dependent test was used to examine the quantitative data on physical stability and sunscreen. No significant variations were seen throughout six storage cycles (p>0.05), indicating high physical stability, for the three EEKL Spray gel compositions (FI:5%, FII:7.5%, FIII: 10%). Formula III, which falls under the ultra protection category and had the highest average SPF value before and after the cycling test at 35.82 ± 0.50, exhibited no significant change (P>0.05) in the sunscreen activity during the six storage cycles, according to the results of the stability test of the EEKL Spray gel sunscreen activity in the three formulas.

Abstract

Pemerintah melalui Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan telah memberikan Surat Edaran Nomor 3 Tahun 2020 tentang Pencegahan Covid-19 pada satuan pendidikan. Sistem pembelajaran daring atau online adalah salah satu implementasi dari pendidikan jarak jauh melalui sistem belajar online . Setiap sekolah maupun perguruan tinggi menggunakan cara belajaronline dengan tujuan meningkatkan pemerataan akses terhadap pembelajaran yang lebih baik dan bermutu. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis efektivitas pembelajaranFarmasetika Apotek dengan menggunakan platform Google Classroom pada mahasiswaAkfar tahun 2020 Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan desain penelitian analisis kuantitatif. Pengambilan data secara prospektif kepada mahasiswa-mahasiswi aktif Akademi Farmasi Yarsi Pontianak pada tingkat tiga dengan pemberian kuesioner melalui google form. Hasil validasi dan reliabilitas instrumen penelitian ini menunjukkan nilai r tabel tiap butir pernyataan adalah rata-rata di bawah 0,05 (n=30) dan nilai Cronbach’s alfa yang diperoleh yaitu 0, 826 > 0,6.Hasil 10 indikator dari 15 indikator pertanyaan menunjukkan nilai persentase setuju dan sangat setuju lebih dari 50% tentang efektivitas pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil pembahasan di atas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kuesioner penelitian ini valid dan reliabel, serta metode pembelajaran menggunakan platform Google Classroom sudah baik atau dapat dikatakan telah efektif dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan platform Google Classroom..

Abstract

Covid-19 di Indonesia dinyatakan sebagai jenis penyakit yang menimbulkan kedaruratan kesehatan masyarakat serta bencana non alam, yang tidak hanya menyebabkan kematian tapi juga menimbulkan kerugian ekonomi yang cukup besar. Menghadapi masalah ini, maka diperlukan upaya pengendalian dan pencegahan Covid-19 ini Salah satu upaya pencegahan yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan meningkatkan ketahanan masyarakat melalui kesehatan tubuh perorangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengetahuan dan sikappenerapan penggunaan suplemen kesehatan pada mahasiswa-mahasiswi di Akademi Farmasi Yarsi Pontianak di masa pandemi ini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survei deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan analisis ku antitatif pada mahasiswa-mahasiswi aktif semua tingkat/semester di Akademi Farmasi Yarsi Pontianak. Pengambilan data secaraprospektif dengan teknik sampling Stratified Random Sampling.Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pemberian kuesioner melalui google form. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 100 orang mahasiswa, didapatkan tingkat pengetahuan termasuk kategori cukup sebanyak 8 orang (8,0%)dan mahasiswa dengan tingkat pengetahuan baik sebanyak 92 orang (92,0%), serta sikap tidak baik sebanyak 16 orang (16,0%) dan kategori sikap baik sebanyak 84 orang (84,0%). Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan mahasiswa sudah baik dan memiliki sikap yang baik terhadap pemilihan suplemen kesehatan dalam menghadapi Covid-19 pada era pandemi

Abstract

The custom of some Palembang Malay Muslim communities to visit the tomb of Ki Marogan is a religious tradition that has lasted for years. This study wants to see what are the motives behind the Palembang Muslim community to maintain this tradition and how their perceptions of these pilgrimage habits. By using the method of observation and in-depth interviews found the fact that there are various motives behind the pilgrimage tradition to the Ki Merogan tomb, ranging from forms of respect for the figure of Ki Merogan Ulama, known as a charismatic figure of Ulama and its important role in the development of Islam in the city of Palembang, to with the motive of smelling khurafat in the form of a desire to pay a vow because their request was granted after praying at the grave of Ki Marogan. Meanwhile pilgrims consider that the tradition of pilgrimage to the grave of Ki Merogan is a good habit and does not violate Islamic teachings. Some even believe that the pilgrimage to the tomb of Ki Merogan is a must because it is a form of respect for the great ulemas of Palembang who have high karomah.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the physical stability and sunscreen activity of lotion ethanol extract of buas-buas leaf. The ethanol extract of buas-buas leaves was obtained by maceration using 70% ethanol solvent. EEDB was then formulated into a lotion with an EEDB concentration (FI: 1%, FII: 2%, FIII : 3%). The EEDB lotion formula was tested for physical stability by cycling test method using a climatic chamber at 40°C ± 2°C and 4 °C ± 2°C for 6 cycles. Tests include organoleptic, homogeneity, viscosity, pH, spreadability, and lotion type. An antioxidant test wa carried out using the DPPH method. The results of the physical stability test on the three EEDB lotion formulas (FI: 1%, FII: 2%, FIII : 3%) showed good physical stability because there were no significant differences during six cycles of storage (p>0.05) with the results of the preparations smelling typical of oleum citri, green-brown in colour, has a semi-solid, homogeneous texture, lotion type M/A, meets the requirements of pH, viscosity and spreadability with the highest average percent inhibition before and after the cycling test, namely in formula III, was 69,89 ± 0,74%.

Abstract

The bark of the sengkuang Dracontomelon dao (Blanco) Merr & Rofle stem contains secondary metabolites alkaloids, saponins, tannins, flavonoids and triterpenoids which are efficacious as anthelmintics. This study aims to formulate, physically evaluate and test the effectiveness of sengkuang stem bark ethanol extract syrup as anthelmintic against chicken roundworms (Ascaridia galli). The syrup preparation was formulated in 3 variations of extract concentrations i.e 0.2%; 0.4% and 0.6%. The syrup was physically evaluated in the form of organoleptic tests, pH, displaced volume and specific gravity.  Inserting 5 chicken roundworms into each test solution i.e 0.9% NaCl (negative control), 0.5% mebendazole (positive control), sengkuang stem bark syrup 0.2%, 0.4%, and 0.6%. It was incubated at 37°C and the time and number of worm deaths were observed every 1 hour for 24 hours. The results showed the sengkuang bark ethanol extract syrup (0.2%; 0.4% and 0.6%) met the requirements in syrup preparations with brownish yellow, brownish orange and brown colors, distinctive aroma and sweet taste; pH ± 6; displaced volume ± 97-98% and specific gravity ± 1.2. All sengkuang bark ethanol extract syrup formulations had the ability to kill 100% of worms with LT50 values ​​of 11.40 hours; 10.33 hours and 6.87 hours.

Abstract

Kulit buah tampoi (Baccaurea macrocarpa) diketahui mengandung senyawa flavonoid dan polifenol yang berpotensi sebagai tabir surya alami. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memformulasikan ekstrak etanol kulit buah tampoi dalam sediaan Lip balm serta mengevaluasi stabilitas fisik, nilai Sun Protection Factor (SPF), persentase transmisi eritema dan pigmentasi, serta uji iritasi. Lip balm diformulasikan 0,1% ekstrak kulit buah tampoi dalam tiga formula dengan variasi konsentrasi Tween 80 (2%, 3%, dan 4%). Evaluasi fisik meliputi uji organoleptis, homogenitas, pH, daya sebar, daya oles, dan titik leleh, serta uji stabilitas menggunakan metode cycling test selama enam siklus. Formula terbaik selanjutnya diuji nilai SPF menggunakan metode Mansur dan A.J. Petro, uji transmisi eritema dan pigmentasi, serta uji iritasi kulit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan seluruh formula memiliki karakteristik fisik yang baik, homogen, pH 5, dan titik leleh 52°C. Formula dengan Tween 80 3% menunjukkan stabilitas fisik terbaik setelah uji cycling test. Formula ini memiliki nilai SPF sebesar 10,906 (metode Mansur) dan 2,094 (metode A.J. Petro), serta nilai transmisi eritema 9,12% dan transmisi pigmentasi 71,95% yang tergolong kategori regular suntan. Uji iritasi menunjukkan tidak adanya reaksi iritasi pada seluruh panelis. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa Lip balm ekstrak etanol kulit buah tampoi (Baccaurea macrocarpa) berpotensi sebagai sediaan tabir surya alami yang stabil, aman, dan efektif untuk perlindungan bibir.
