Abstract

Moodle is one of the most popular and frequently used LMS in the world of education. This research aims to increase the understanding of junior high school mathematics teachers in the Sukaraja area, Tasikmalaya Regency regarding the development of teaching materials for the MOODLE Learning Management System Content, so that they can utilize this technology to improve the quality of learning and student learning outcomes. The method used is a classical and individual approach. Based on the results of the analysis, it was concluded that the training increased understanding of the use of Moodle LMS in mathematics education, enabling participants to develop interactive teaching materials. Collaboration between Mathematics teachers at MGMP is encouraged, facilitating knowledge exchange. Technology and appropriate instructional design improve mathematics learning in middle school with access to diverse materials and interesting ways of learning.

Abstract

Community Service The Program for Implementing Science and Technology in the Community (PbM-PPIM) aims at several things, including motivating and providing education to the community about the importance of meeting food intake needs independently, optimizing Hydroponic technology by building a Greenhouse. To achieve this goal, this program will provide materials and tools in the form of Greenhouses, such as iron, paranet, UV plastic, paralon, netpots, rockwool, water pumps, etc., as well as vegetable seeds to the community.. The method that will be used in this program is through patterned and structured outreach activities by providing information and education to the public about Hydroponic technology and Greenhouse construction. Apart from that, this program will also provide ongoing assistance and evaluation to the community so that they can maximize vegetable production using Hydroponic technology and minimize plant pests. Thus, it is hoped that this program can help the community improve food security and the family economy through Hydroponic technology and Greenhouse construction.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh munculnya hambatan belajar (learning obstacle) yang dialami peserta didik tentang konsep luas daerah trapesium. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menyusun dan mengimplementasikan bahan ajar pada konsep luas daerah trapesium. Lokasi penelitian dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 2 Tasikmalaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian Desain Didaktis (Didactical Design Research). Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan melaksanakan uji instrument learning obstacle, implementasi desain didaktis, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah suatu desain didaktis alternatif yang dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) pada materi konsep luas daerah trapesium.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of implementing the RICOSRE learning model assisted by interactive media Lumio by SMART on students’ mathematical problem-solving skills and mathematical resilience, both partially and simultaneously, particularly on the topic of straight lines. This research is ekperimental research. The research employed a Quasi experimental design using a posttest-only control group design, with data collected through a problem-solving test and a mathematical resilience questionnaire. The population consisted of all eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 14 Tasikmalaya, comprising eleven classes, and samples were selected through cluster random sampling to form two groups: an experimental class taught using the RICOSRE learning model assisted by Lumio by SMART, and a control class taught using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by PowerPoint. Data were analyzed using an independent samples t-test to examine partial effects and Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) to assess simultaneous effectiveness. The results indicate that the RICOSRE learning model assisted by Lumio by SMART is effective in improving students’ mathematical problem-solving skills and mathematical resilience, both partially and simultaneously, suggesting its potential as an alternative technology-based instructional strategy to enhance the quality of mathematics learning. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan kelayakan platform digital untuk literasi matematika berbasis budaya Kampung Adat Kuta dan menganalisis respons siswa terhadap penggunaannya dalam pembelajaran matematika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian dan Pengembangan (R&D) dengan model pengembangan Analisis, Desain, Pengembangan, Implementasi, dan Evaluasi (ADDIE). Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara semi-terstruktur dan kuesioner. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari lembar panduan wawancara dan kuesioner penilaian kualitas media. Subjek penelitian adalah pakar materi, pakar media, dan siswa kelas 8 SMP Negeri 10 Tasikmalaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa platform digital yang dikembangkan berhasil mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal Kampung Adat Kuta ke dalam pembelajaran matematika secara interaktif. Kelayakan platform dinilai berdasarkan aspek kelayakan konten, presentasi, dan bahasa oleh pakar materi, serta aspek tampilan, kemudahan penggunaan, kegunaan, dan grafis oleh pakar media. Kedua pakar menyimpulkan bahwa platform tersebut sangat layak digunakan. Lebih lanjut, siswa memberikan respons yang sangat positif terhadap penggunaan platform digital ini. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa integrasi kearifan lokal melalui media digital dapat menjadi alternatif inovatif untuk meningkatkan literasi matematika siswa. This study aims to explain the feasibility of a digital platform for mathematical literacy based on the culture of Kampung Adat Kuta and to analyze students’ responses to its use in mathematics learning. The research method employed is Research and Development (R&D) with the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) development model. Data collection techniques included semi-structured interviews and questionnaires. The research instruments consisted of interview guideline sheets and media quality assessment questionnaires. The research subjects were material experts, media experts, and eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 10 Tasikmalaya. The results of the study indicate that the developed digital platform successfully integrates the local wisdom of Kampung Adat Kuta into mathematics learning in an interactive manner. The feasibility of the platform was assessed based on content, presentation, and language feasibility aspects by material experts, as well as display, ease of use, usability, and graphic aspects by media experts. Both experts concluded that the platform is highly feasible for use. Furthermore, students gave very positive responses toward the use of this digital platform. Therefore, it can be concluded that the integration of local wisdom through digital media can serve as an innovative alternative to enhance students’ mathematical literacy.

Abstract

Studi pendahuluan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penalaran analogi siswa SMP pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar sebagai dasar untuk mengembangkan model pembelajaran matematika yang lebih efektif. Penalaran analogi memiliki peran penting dalam mendukung berpikir matematis tingkat tinggi dan pemahaman konseptual, namun kemampuan siswa di bidang ini masih tergolong rendah. Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini melibatkan tiga siswa kelas IX dari 3 SMPN yang berada di Kota Tasikmalaya. Subjek dipilih secara purposive yaitu masing-masing satu orang siswa dari 3 sekolah yang memiliki nilai rata-rata matematika tertinggi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes penalaran analogi, wawancara semi terstruktur, dan dokumentasi dengan fokus pada empat komponen utama penalaran analogi yaitu encoding, inferring, mapping, dan applying. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penalaran analogi siswa secara umum masih tergolong rendah, terutama pada komponen inferring,  mapping dan applying. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa kesulitan siswa tidak hanya bersumber pada lemahnya penguasaan konsep, melainkan juga akibat minimnya strategi pembelajaran berbasis analogi yang eksplisit dan sistematis di kelas sehingga diperlukan pengembangan model pembelajaran yang efektif untuk mengembangkan penalaralan analogi. This preliminary study aims to analyze junior high school students' analogical reasoning on the material of flat-sided solid shapes as a basis for developing a more effective mathematics learning model. Analogous reasoning has an important role in supporting high-level mathematical thinking and conceptual understanding, but students' abilities in this area are still relatively low. This qualitative descriptive research, involving three ninth-grade students from three junior high schools in Tasikmalaya City. The subjects were selected purposively, namely one student each from 3 schools who had the highest average mathematics score. Data collection was carried out through analogical reasoning tests, semi-structured interviews, and documentation with a focus on the four main components of analogical reasoning, namely encoding, inferring, mapping, and applying. The results show that students' analogical reasoning is generally still relatively low, especially in the inferring, mapping and applying components. This finding indicates that students' difficulties do not only stem from weak conceptual mastery, but also from the lack of explicit and systematic analogy-based learning strategies in the classroom, so that it is necessary to develop effective learning models to develop analogical reasoning.

Abstract

The urgency of developing learning media in the flipped classroom lies in the need for digital tools that can facilitate pre-class independent learning, as existing media are generally linear and lack interactivity. This study aims to develop interactive Android-based learning media called Math Venture Algebra to support ninth-grade junior high school algebra learning through the flipped classroom model. The development was carried out using an R&D approach based on the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), which is relevant because it provides a systematic process for designing interactive Android-based media. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews and questionnaires validated by two subject matter experts and two media experts, and tested on 30th grade students at Tasikmalaya State Junior High School 5. The instrument uses a Likert scale that has been tested for validity and reliability, while the data is analyzed descriptively. Math Venture Algebra media is designed with key features such as instructional videos, interactive exercises, quizzes, and adaptive navigation that support the pre-class flipped classroom phase, so that students can learn independently before face-to-face discussions. The results of the study show that this media is in the “highly feasible” category according to expert assessment, as well as “very practical” according to students with a practicality level of 87%. These findings confirm that Android-based interactive media integrated with the flipped classroom contributes to increased independence, engagement, and quality of mathematics learning, while enriching 21st-century technology-based educational practices.

Abstract

Ciampanan Village has abundant local papaya resources; however, their utilization remains limited as papaya is mostly sold as fresh fruit while the seeds are discarded as waste. This community service program aimed to enhance the added value of papaya through innovation in processing papaya seeds into herbal tea and papaya fruit into jam. The implementation method involved participatory approaches through observation, hands-on training, and community mentoring. The results showed an increase in community knowledge and skills in processing local food products. Participants were able to produce papaya jam and papaya seed tea that are feasible for consumption and have potential to be developed as household-scale businesses. This program demonstrates that optimizing local agricultural resources can support economic empowerment and sustainable rural development.
