Abstract

The banking industry is presently undergoing innovation by integrating cutting-edge technology to establish digital banks. A digital bank conducts its operations exclusively online through an application and typically has a central office. In Indonesia, there is a growing popularity of digital banks, with a noticeable emergence of Sharia-based digital banks. However, the progress of Islamic digital banks is comparatively slower when compared to non-Sharia counterparts. Capitalizing on the familiarity of Gen Z with technology, this study aims to explore how the variables of convenience, security, and religiosity individually and collectively influence the inclination of Generation Z in Surabaya to use Islamic digital banks. The research adopts a quantitative approach, specifically causal research, and collects data through online questionnaires distributed via Google Forms. With a sample size of 170 respondents selected through purposive sampling, the study employs SmartPLS 3 software for data processing and analysis. Findings indicate that the convenience variable positively and significantlyimpacts the interest in using Islamic digital banks, while the security variable also exerts a positive and significant influence. However, the religiosity variable does not show a significant effect on the interest in using Islamic digital banks. When considered together, convenience, security, and religiosity collectively influence the interest in using Islamic digital banks.

Abstract

Indonesia's tax system is undergoing major changes as a result of the development of digital technologies.  However, in order for fiscal policy to be focused on social justice, this modernization necessitates not just technological competence but also the integration of moral and spiritual principles.  With an emphasis on the duties and moral obligations of system management stakeholders (supervisors, IT professionals, and field managers), this study attempts to examine how Sharia ethical concepts are incorporated into tax digitalization.  This study investigates the connection between Islamic economic values like justice (al-'adl), reliability, and transparency with the current practice of tax digitization using a qualitative descriptive analysis approach and literature. The study's conclusions show that incorporating sharia principles is essential for encouraging administrators' moral and spiritual integrity, which will boost public confidence and increase taxpayer compliance. A digital system that guarantees open data flow and real-time accountability at every level, from reporting to fund utilization, based on the administrators' credibility, achieves the necessary transparency. Therefore, tax digitization is a way to realize public benefit through a synergy between spiritual values and technology, which requires fiscal system implementers to uphold high ethical standards.

Abstract

Indonesia’s rich culinary diversity not only represents cultural and historical identity but also constitutes a strategic economic sector that significantly contributes to the national gross domestic product and employment, particularly through micro, small, and medium enterprises. This study aims to analyze the integration of Islamic economic principles in the business development strategy of the culinary MSME restaurant. A qualitative phenomenological approach was employed to explore the lived experiences underlying the implementation of these principles. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with two employees and seven customers, supported by observations and document analysis. The findings indicate that the consistent internalization of Islamic economic principles functions not only as an ethical foundation but also as a strategic resource that enhances business sustainability. The principle of justice is reflected in fair and timely employee compensation and affordable pricing, honesty is manifested through transparency in raw materials and pricing, and halal principle is implemented across the production and supply chain. These practices foster trust, employee engagement, customer loyalty, and strengthen intangible assets such as reputation and value-based branding. The study implies that Islamic economic principles can serve as a viable strategic framework for culinary MSMEs when combined with adaptive management and innovation.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation, potential, and challenges of Islamic monetary policy in Indonesia in supporting inclusive and sustainable economic growth. Despite Indonesia's status as the world's largest Muslim-majority country and its significant market potential for Islamic financial products, there are considerable gaps in the implementation of Islamic monetary policy. These gaps include low financial literacy, regulatory frameworks that are not yet fully supportive, and infrastructure limitations. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the implementation of Islamic monetary policy, analyze the challenges it faces, and provide strategic recommendations to enhance its effectiveness. The research methodology involves the analysis of secondary data from government reports and related institutions, as well as a literature review on Islamic monetary policy and best practices in other countries. The results of the study indicate that during the pandemic, instruments such as sukuk, IMA Certificates,

Abstract

Limited integration of halal assurance across supply chain stages remains a critical challenge for Indonesian micro-scale food enterprises, particularly those processing high-risk animal-based products. Existing studies predominantly emphasize product-level certification, leaving a gap in understanding how halal supply chain management (HSCM) is operationalized at the micro-enterprise level. This study aims to analyze the implementation of HSCM in a micro-scale enterprise, Pak Rebo Chicken Intestine Crackers in Surabaya, Indonesia, using a qualitative case study approach. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with five key participants (owner, supplier, employees, and consumer), direct observation, and documentation review. The analysis was guided by a halal supply chain framework covering production preparation, production processing, distribution, and consumption stages. Halal practices were evaluated using a five-point compliance scale adapted from prior halal supply chain studies, where scores range from 1 (very poor) to 5 (excellent) based on observable operational indicators. The findings indicate strong compliance in hygiene practices, material handling, transaction transparency, and distribution activities. However, weaknesses remain in documentation, traceability, halal labeling, and inventory control systems, indicating that halal compliance is primarily practice-based rather than system-based. This study contributes to halal supply chain literature by highlighting the gap between operational and institutional compliance in micro-scale enterprises and provides practical insights for strengthening traceability, labeling consistency, and governance mechanisms. The results offer implications for improving halal assurance systems in resource-constrained MSME contexts.
