Abstract

Presipitasi besi dari larutan hasil pelindian bijih nikel laterit merupakan tahapan yang harus dilakukan sebelum larutan diolah lebih lanjut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh varibel proses terhadap presipitasi besi serta mempelajari kinetika proses presipitasi. Dalam penelitian ini, presipitasi besi dilakukan menggunakan senyawa natrium hidroksida (NaOH). Variabel yang diamati yaitu temperatur (25, 40, 55, 70, dan 85°C) konsentrasi NaOH (10, 20, 30, dan 40% w/v), dan waktu (15, 30, 45, 60, dan 75 menit). Studi kinetika mengacu pada persamaan reaksi homogenous irreversible orde I, orde II dan orde III. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan temperatur, konsentrasi NaOH, dan waktu meningkatkan persentase presipitasi besi. Persentase presipitasi besi tertinggi sebesar 84,868% dicapai pada pada temperatur 85°C, konsentrasi NaOH 40% w/v, dan waktu 75 menit. Studi kinetika menunjukkan bahwa reaksi presipitasi besi dari larutan hasil pelindian mengikuti reaksi irreversible orde III.

Abstract

Matabura Village is one of the villages located in Amonggedo District, Konawe Regency, which is located around the nickel mining area. One of the obligations of mining companies is to develop a Community Empowerment Program (CEP) based on the needs of the community around the mine. The purpose of this activity is to provide participatory-based community assistance whose final product is an inventory of community needs which will later be given to mining companies around Matabura Village to be included in the CEP document. The method used is through Focus Group Discussion (FGD) activities and interviews with a sample of 50 respondents. The results of this activity showed that there was a change in the area of the village boundary from 551 Ha to 399.40 Ha and the number of hamlets from 2 to 3 hamlets and the results of interviews and Focus Group Discussions (FGD) recommended programs to be proposed, namely: Scholarship Program, Repair of Places of Worship, Normalization rivers, Utilization of Human Resources, Sports Facilities, Changing Land Profits, Liming or dolomite on plantation land.

Abstract

The research location is located in Induha Village, Latambaga District, Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. This study aims to determine the factors controlling landslides, and the types of landslides in the study area. The method used in this research is direct observation in the form of data collection and data collection that is found directly in the field including geological observations, taking rock samples, measuring slopes, and taking documentation of 3 points of landslides. Factors that control the occurrence of landslides in the study area are influenced by controlling factors, namely very steep slopes with a slope of around ± 62o – 67o. Lithological conditions are metamorphic rocks that have undergone changes due to pressure and temperature.

Abstract

PT Ifishdeco often experiences problems in its mining activities, which originate from geotechnical issues, such as landslide events. This study aims to recommend the value of slope parameters to remain stable and safe by considering the influence of geological structures and types of landslides in the South Block Jey Pit of PT Ifishdeco Tbk. Slope stability analysis using the Bishop method with Mohr-Coloumb criteria based on direct shear strength test results and rock mass classification. The results of the study show that the safety factor value of the actual slope geometry on slope A and slope B obtained safety factor values of 0.79 and 0.83 with unstable conditions caused by the influence of the presence of discontinuity planes that reduce the strength of the slope constituent. Based on the kinematic analysis results, the landslide types found on slopes A and B are classified as wedge failures. Optimization of slope geometry is required as a recommendation for slope geometry design. Optimization of the slope height and bench slope is necessary.

Abstract

The ideal drinking water requirement is clean water that is colorless, odorless, and tasteless, doe not contain pathogenic germs, does not contain chemicals or heavy metals, does not endanger the health of living things, and is not economically harmful. The ARKL study is intended to calculate or predict the risk to human health, including identification of the presence of uncertainty factors, tracing to specific exposures, taking into account the inherent characteristics of the agent of concern, and the characteristics of specific targets. Based on the ARKL study, the minimum RQ and maximum RQ values for each risk agent are <1 (safe). This study used dug-well water from the community of Telugu Jaya Village. The purpose of the study was to assess the risk of exposure to heavy metals contained in dug-well water. Measurement parameters were carried out in the form of Ph, TSS, and nine heavy metal elements (Cu, Cd, Cr6+, CrT, Pb, Ni, Fe, Zn, and Co). After the measurement, the risk of heavy metal exposure to local community-dug well water was analyzed. The results showed that HI <1, so it was concluded that the level of heavy metal intake from the dug well was still below the reference dose (RfD), which means that the exposure limit was still safe.

Abstract

Leaching at atmospheric pressure is one of the leaching methods of concern because it has several advantages, namely that it can process low-level nickel ore, can operate at temperatures >100 ⁰C at atmospheric pressure, and can be used in saprolite and limonite ores. In this research, nickel extraction from nickel laterite ore was carried out using sulfuric acid solution (H2SO4) as a leaching agent. The variables that were varied in the leaching process were temperature (30, 60, and 90 ⁰C), sulfuric acid concentration (0.2, 0.5, and 0.8 molar) and leaching time (30, 60, and 90 minutes). In this study, a 3-factor analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to see the significance of the variable effects and the order of the most influential variables. In addition, leaching kinetics was studied by shrinking core models to determine rate determining step. The results showed that the increase in temperature, sulfuric acid and leaching time produced a higher percentage of extracted nickel. Based on the 3-factor ANOVA, the order of the most influential variables was obtained, namely temperature, acid concentration and leaching time. The kinetics analysis showed that rate determining step of leaching ore nickel laterite with H2SO4 solution on atmospheric pressure is controlled by diffusion through solid layer product.

Abstract

Perhitungan cadangan merupakan hal penting dalam proses penambangan sumberdaya mineral. Perhitungan cadangan dijadikan sebagai dasar evaluasi untuk menghasilkan keputusan suatu endapan layak atau tidak layak ditambang. Pada penelitian ini, pengolahan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan bantuan perangkat lunak Micromine 2021.5. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data diperoleh nilai coefficient of varians (CV) assay zona limonit adalah 0,37 dan zona saprolit 0,33 sedangkan nilai CV komposit zona limonit adalah 0,35 dan zona saprolit 0,30 dan hasil variogram kadar nikel menghasilkan anisotropi geometri yang menggambarkan daerah pengaruh (range) sebaran endapan nikel untuk zona limonit sepanjang 48,02 m dan berarah N139,6°E sedangkan range untuk zona saprolit sepanjang 50,45 m dan berarah N140,1°E, yang berarah tenggara-baratlaut untuk zona limonit dan zona saprolit. Estimasi sumberdaya dilakukan menggunakan metode Inverse Distance Weight (IDW) Power 4 yang diperoleh melalui analisis hasil penaksiran menggunakan parameter root mean square error (RMSE) dengan total volume cadangan pada Sub Blok 4 Blok TAA adalah sebesar 276.350 m3 dan memiliki tonase sebesar 429.893 ton dengan nilai rata-rata kadar Ni adalah 1,68%.

Abstract

Flooding is a common natural disaster in Indonesia, especially in regions with heavy rainfall and insufficient drainage systems. North Kolaka Regency is among the areas vulnerable to floods, particularly during the rainy season. This issue is exacerbated by climate change and environmental damage, which diminish the ground’s ability to absorb water, leading to floods that cause material losses, infrastructure damage, and even loss of life. To strengthen local preparedness, community outreach initiatives were carried out to raise awareness about the importance of developing flood contingency plans. These initiatives used a participatory approach, engaging the local community and stakeholders in the dissemination, planning process, and disaster preparedness training. The outcome showed an enhanced understanding, readiness, and improved coordination between relevant agencies in flood response efforts.

Abstract

In order to meet the daily water needs of the Amohola Village community who currently rely on dug well water mixed with sediment and odor, community service has been carried out by the Mining Engineering Department of Halu Oleo University. The purpose of this service is to find clean water sources through groundwater exploration using the geoelectric method. Based on the results of groundwater measurements with the geoelectric method, it can be interpreted that the groundwater aquifer is located at a depth of 15-45 meters, with a low resistivity value of 371 ohm.m. This indicates that this groundwater layer can be considered a depressed aquifer, which is characterized by low resistivity. The low resistivity is likely caused by impermeable rock types such as clay around the aquifer. Based on these findings, it is recommended that the village government and community conduct groundwater drilling at a depth of 15 to 45 meters. By drilling at this depth, it is hoped that the Amohola Village community can gain access to a safer and higher quality clean water source for their daily needs. In the drilling process, it is also necessary to pay attention to technical and environmental factors to ensure the success of this project and preserve the local environment.
