Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji potensi nilai ekonomi kobalt sebagai mineral ikutan pada pertambangan bijih nikel di Kecamatan Langgikima, Kabupaten Konawe Utara, Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara. Kabupaten ini dikenal sebagai salah satu penghasil bijih nikel terbesar di Indonesia dengan kobalt (Co) yang ditemukan sebagai mineral ikuran yang sering ditemukan bersama bijih nikel. Kobalt memiliki nilai strategis dalam industri modern, khususnya baterai lithium-ion, yang penting dalam kendaraan listrik dan perangkat elektronik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan mengumpulkan data sekunder dari perusahaan pertambangan dan literatur terkait. Analisis dilakukan untuk memperkirakan kandungan kobalt dalam sumber daya bijih nikel yang teridentifikasi dan menghitung potensi nilai ekonominya berdasarkan harga pasar kobalt saat ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di lokasi penelitian mempunyai potensi kandungan kobalt dengan perkiraan sumber daya sebesar 643.580,85 ton dan cadangan diperkirakan sebesar 382.360 ton. Analisis prospektif nilai ekonomi kobalt sebagai mineral ikutan dari sumber daya dan cadangan menunjukkan potensi ekonomi dengan nilai masing-masing sekitar 16,8 miliar USD dan 10,01 miliar USD. Penelitian ini juga memberikan landasan untuk mengembangkan strategi pengelolaan yang berkelanjutan dan optimal atas potensi kobalt sebagai aset mineral ikutan dalam industri pertambangan bijih nikel.

Abstract

Adhi Kartiko Pratama is a private company which operates in the nickel mining sector and has a Mining Business License covering an area of 1975 Ha. To maintain the company's production, currently PT. AKP plans to open a new mining location in Front Block A, especially in Sub Block A4, with a production target of 100,000 tons per month. This research aims to design a mining sequence based on production targets in Block A4. The design created is an estimated ore distribution. Minable reserves based on the mining pit limit design in Block A4 are 466,383.36 bcm with a total tonnage of 769,532.54 tons with an average Ni content of 1.76%, and including mining recovery parameters of 90%, it is 419,745, 02 bcm and a tonnage of 692,579.29 tons with an average Ni content of 1.74%, then the estimated mine life in Block A4 PT. Adhi Kartiko Pratama will last approximately 6 months. Based on the production target in Block A4, the mining sequence design is divided into 6 stages carried out using a level plan system or following excavation levels, where mining will start from topography with the highest level of 180 meters above sea level to topography with the lowest level of 135 meters above sea level.

Abstract

Morosi Village located in Konawe Regency is one of the areas in which there is a nickel processing company. The nickel processing produces solid waste, one of which is nickel slag. The amount of nickel slag is accumulating day by day, because each process of refining one ton of nickel product produces 50 times the solid waste, equivalent to 50 tons. So that from the results of quite a lot of waste, research was carried out to use solid waste as a concrete forming material, either as coarse and fine aggregate, or as a cement mixture. Government Regulation No. 101 of 2014 classifies nickel slag as B3 waste hazard category 2 with waste code B403. This means that nickel slag is a waste that has a delayed effect, and has an indirect impact on humans and the environment. Meanwhile, at the end of 2019, the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) concerning the choice of nickel slag material from electric furnaces. This SNI was also prepared by the Ministry of Industry to support the development of nickel slag standards and as a solution for nickel slag management. The existence of SNI is also intended as a reference to optimize the use of nickel slag as aggregate, substitute for natural aggregate and other uses. Some examples of products made from nickel slag include bricks, precast and ready-to-print concrete, road base and field, soil improvers, growing media and fertilizers, mortar and cement slag, composite portland cement, and cement geopolymers. To accommodate the use of nickel slag, assistance is needed to the community, especially in Morosi Village to be able to process with appropriate, effective and efficient technology in accordance with its physical characteristics and chemical characteristics. This will be an alternative to reduce the amount of nickel slag that can pollute the environment, in addition to increasing people's income.

Abstract

The research location is located in Induha Village, Latambaga District, Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. This study aims to determine the factors controlling landslides, and the types of landslides in the study area. The method used in this research is direct observation in the form of data collection and data collection that is found directly in the field including geological observations, taking rock samples, measuring slopes, and taking documentation of 3 points of landslides. Factors that control the occurrence of landslides in the study area are influenced by controlling factors, namely very steep slopes with a slope of around ± 62o – 67o. Lithological conditions are metamorphic rocks that have undergone changes due to pressure and temperature.

Abstract

Program KKN Tematik di Desa Waworaha dilaksanakan untuk mengatasi permasalahan pengelolaan sampah rumah tangga dan pencemaran mikroplastik di kawasan pesisir. Kondisi awal menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar masyarakat belum mempraktikkan pemilahan sampah, dengan banyaknya sampah yang dibakar atau dibuang langsung ke laut dan lahan kosong. Praktik ini berisiko besar terhadap kualitas lingkungan dan kesehatan masyarakat. Program ini terdiri dari tiga kegiatan utama: sosialisasi mengenai bahaya mikroplastik kepada siswa SMP untuk menumbuhkan kesadaran dini, bimbingan teknis mengenai pemilahan sampah rumah tangga untuk masyarakat dan aparat desa, serta pemasangan tempat sampah terpilah di lokasi strategis desa. Sosialisasi bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang dampak mikroplastik, sedangkan bimbingan teknis dilakukan untuk mengajarkan cara memilah sampah sesuai dengan kategori organik, anorganik, dan B3. Tempat sampah terpilah dipasang di lokasi-lokasi dengan tingkat aktivitas tinggi, seperti kawasan wisata dan fasilitas umum, untuk mendukung praktik pemilahan di tingkat pengguna. Evaluasi yang dilakukan melalui kuesioner dan wawancara menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat terkait pengelolaan sampah dan mikroplastik. Program ini dinilai efektif, namun untuk menjaga keberlanjutan, diperlukan tindak lanjut berupa pemantauan, pelatihan lanjutan, serta penguatan kelembagaan agar pengelolaan sampah yang baik dapat terus berlanjut di Desa Waworaha.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan batugamping sebagai bahan baku kapur pertanian (kaptan) di Desa Wawatu belum berjalan optimal, meskipun sumber daya tersebut melimpah dan berperan penting dalam meningkatkan pH tanah serta produktivitas pertanian. Pemahaman petani mengenai manfaat pengapuran, teknik sederhana pengolahan batugamping, dan metode aplikasinya di lahan masih terbatas, sehingga batugamping lokal belum memberikan nilai tambah bagi peningkatan hasil pertanian. Program kemitraan masyarakat ini dirancang untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut melalui sosialisasi, pelatihan teknis, dan pendampingan dalam proses pengolahan batugamping menjadi kaptan. Kegiatan ini membekali petani dengan pengetahuan agronomis tentang fungsi kaptan serta keterampilan praktis mulai dari tahap pengolahan hingga penerapannya di lahan pertanian. Hasil pelaksanaan program menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kapasitas petani melalui pendekatan partisipatif berbasis potensi lokal mampu mendorong pemanfaatan sumber daya mineral secara mandiri, memperbaiki kesuburan tanah, mengurangi ketergantungan pada input eksternal, dan meningkatkan keberlanjutan usaha pertanian. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa optimalisasi sumber daya lokal melalui pelatihan terstruktur merupakan strategi efektif untuk mendukung pembangunan pertanian berkelanjutan di Desa Wawatu.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan teknologi UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) photogrammetry dalam pemetaan longsoran purba gunung Raung yang berbentuk gumuk. Metode ini dirancang untuk memperoleh data yang akurat dan detail secara cepat, efisien, dan aman. UAV dilengkapi dengan kamera photogrammetry yang mampu menghasilkan citra udara resolusi tinggi. Pemrosesan citra dilakukan menggunakan perangkat lunak khusus untuk membangun model tiga dimensi pada produk longsoran gunung Raung dari area longsoran. Studi ini melibatkan survei udara dengan UAV untuk memperoleh dataset citra yang mencakup area gumuk. Hasil pemetaan mencakup visualisasi yang mendalam tentang struktur topografi dan karakteristik permukaan gumuk. Pengujian ketinggain dari data Digital Surface Model (DSM) dan Digital Terrain Model (DTM) pada gumuk menggunakan uji akurasi Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) dan Mean Absolute Error (MAE) menunjukkan ketinggian gumuk yang asli di lapangan. Pengujian dilakukan di slope yang berbeda pada area gumuk menghasilakan eror akurasi RMSE dan MAE berturut – turut 5.669 dan 4.947. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang keberadaan morfologi longsoran gunung Raung berupa gumuk di kabupaten Jember, Jawa timur. Dengan demikian, aplikasi ini dapat menjadi landasan untuk pengembangan survey awal penambangan bahan galian yang lebih efektif dan presisi pada wilayah dengan karakteristik serupa.

Abstract

Soil erosion poses a significant threat to environmental sustainability, particularly in regions with complex topographic and hydrological characteristics. Accurate erosion risk mapping is essential for effective land management and mitigation strategies. This study aims to evaluate the performance of five machine learning models—Random Forest (RF), Gradient Boosting Tree (GBT), Decision Tree (DT), Generalized Linear Model (GLM), and Support Vector Machine (SVM)—in predicting erosion risk using remote sensing-derived indices. Eight environmental variables, including topographic, hydrological, and vegetation indicators, were analyzed after confirming no harmful multicollinearity (VIF < 3). Model performance was assessed using metrics such as accuracy, AUC, precision, recall, and F-measure. Results show that RF achieved the highest predictive accuracy (0.727) and AUC (0.772), with topographic wetness index (TWI) and normalized difference moisture index (NDMI) being the most influential variables. Conversely, DT tended to overestimate high-risk areas due to overfitting, while SVM and GBT provided more balanced classifications. The spatial classification outcomes revealed that model structure significantly impacts risk distribution, with ensemble models offering more reliable results. Although recall and sensitivity were high across models, specificity was generally low, particularly in GLM and DT, indicating difficulty in detecting non-risk areas. The study highlights the importance of selecting appropriate machine learning approaches and integrating diverse environmental indicators. Future research should address class imbalance and incorporate additional biophysical and socio-economic variables to enhance model robustness and policy relevance.

Abstract

A sump is a drainage facility located at the bottom of the pit. The sump design must be appropriate so that runoff water flowing on the surface can be maximally accommodated. This can overcome stagnant water on the ground and avoid disruptions to mining productivity. Jamrud Pit has an area of 4.14 ha and is mined using the open pit method. The purpose of this research is to calculate and analyze the water discharge that will enter the sump and design the sump according to the volume of runoff water entering the sump. Based on the research results, there are two sumps placed at the bottom of the pit according to the pit cross-section model. Sump 1 has a runoff water volume of 2,914.24 m3, so it is designed with a top area of 27 x 27 m2 and a base area of 21 x 21 m2 with a depth of 5 m and can accommodate a water volume of 2,997.6 m3. While in sump 2, the volume of incoming runoff water is 579.85 m3, so it is designed with a top area of 14 x 14 m2 and a base area of 8 x 8 m2 with a depth of 5 m so that it can accommodate a water volume of 663.18 m3. The sump cross-section model is adjusted to the characteristics of the soil layer, namely the trapezoidal model.

Abstract

PT. Tonia Mitra Sejahtera is a company engaged in the nickel laterite commodity mining industry with a production operation mining business permit area of approximately ± 5,891 Ha. Currently, the company plans to open a new mining block at Pit Rama with an area of ± 5 Ha. This study aims to determine the amount of resources contained in Pit Rama. This research method is a quantitative study that combines theory with data obtained in the field. The estimation method used is the Inverse Distance Weighted (IDW) method which is determined based on geological conditions and the results of basic statistical analysis that have been carried out with an average drill spacing of 25 meters. The results of the study obtained a total resource volume at Pit Rama of 655,352.56 m3 and has a tonnage of 991,796.88 tons with an average nickel content of 1.74%.
