Abstract

Visually impaired students continue to encounter persistent barriers in foreign language learning because instructional practices often rely heavily on visual input, which limits their motivation and equitable participation in the learning process. This study addressed this gap by exploring whether multisensory Mandarin lessons could enhance engagement and motivation among visually impaired learners. A qualitative descriptive design was applied with 24 students at SLB A YAPTI Makassar. Data were collected through participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and a motivation questionnaire, then analysed thematically using Braun and Clarke's framework with triangulation to ensure credibility. The findings revealed three major outcomes: students expressed heightened interest and enjoyment, describing the lessons as novel and stimulating; they reported an increased sense of competence and confidence, though many requested slower pacing and more practice to master tonal distinctions; and they showed greater participation and peer interaction, fostering a more inclusive classroom environment. These results highlight the potential of multisensory approaches to reduce barriers in foreign language education, emphasising the need for teachers and policymakers to design adaptive strategies that support both accessibility and sustained motivation for visually impaired learners.

Abstract

Problems in the research on Improving Speech Skills Based on Collaborative Learning Model in Grade V Students of Elementary School. This study aims to determine the improvement of speaking ability based on the Collaborative Learning Model in Grade V Students of Elementary School. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK).  The subjects in this study are grade V students of Elementary School. This type of research is class action research or PTK using the Kemmis and Mc Taggart research model, namely planning, implementation of actions, observation, and reflection The subject of this research is grade V students of Elementary School. The data collection technique uses the performance test technique. The data analysis technique in this study uses qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The results of this study were obtained in cycle I showing that there was an increase in speaking ability in the aspects of fluency, sentence structure, vocabulary, intonation and pronunciation were very good. This increase was seen in cycle I and cycle II increased from 5% to 81%. Based on the average score obtained by students in cycle I is 75 and in cycle II the average score obtained by students is 80. From these results, it can be concluded that the implementation of the collaborative learning model can improve the speaking ability of grade V students of Elementary School.

Abstract

The urgency of the IAIN Parepare library for tarbiyah faculty students is one of the places to study and add insight. With the existence of a library, students can use the container to be used as a recreation area and look for reading references to support their literacy. This research is a type of qualitative research. The targets in this study were tarbiyah faculty students and library managers at IAIN Parepare. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation and interviews, equipped with data analysis techniques using data reduction and data presentation. The results of this study indicate that: 1) The use of libraries to improve student literacy at the Tarbiyah Faculty of IAIN Parepare, namely library development is a student need. 2) Increasing the literacy of Tarbiyah students of IAIN Parepare through the use of libraries, namely literacy as a supplement to improve students' mindsets and reasoning

Abstract

Desa Tanjung adalah salah satu desa dari 12 desa yang masuk dalam wilayah administratif kecamatan Banyusari, kabupaten Karawang, provinsi Jawa Barat. Karang taruna desa Tanjung yang mayoritas anggotanya generasi muda usia produktif, namun belum berkiprah secara maksimal. Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan pembekalan bagi karang taruna berupa pelatihan-pelatihan keterampilan, kewirausahaan, manajemen bisnis, koperasi, dan lain-lain. Dengan pelatihan-pelatihan semacam itu diharapkan semangat dan motivasi anggota karang taruna dapat terpacu sehingga akan muncul unit-unit bisnis/ usaha yang baru dan dapat memberdayakan masyarakat setempat yang pada akhirnya akan meningkatkan tingkat perekonomian masyarakat. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat, penulis bersama beberapa dosen dan mahasiswa program studi Teknik Industri, Universitas Buana Perjuangan Karawang, mencoba memberikan pelatihan keterampilan atau skill kepada para anggota karang taruna desa Tanjung. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah, selain kegiatan dosen dalam Tridarma Perguruan Tinggi, juga membantu program pemerintah khususnya pemerintah desa Tanjung, kecamatan banyusari, kabupaten Karawang dalam mewujudkan program kerja desa menuju “Desa yang Maju, Makmur, dan Mandiri”. Kata Kunci: Desa Tanjung, Desa yang Maju Makmur Mandiri, Karang Taruna, Pelatihan AC Tanjung Village is one of 12 villages included in the administrative area of ​​Banyusari sub-district, Karawang district, West Java province. The Tanjung village youth group whose members are mostly young people of productive age, but have not been active optimally. Therefore, it is necessary to provide training for youth organizations in the form of skills training, entrepreneurship, business management, cooperatives, and others. With such trainings, it is hoped that the enthusiasm and motivation of the youth organization members can be stimulated so that new business/business units will emerge and can empower the local community which in turn will increase the level of the community's economy. Through community service activities, the author together with several lecturers and students of the Industrial Engineering study program, Universitas Buana Perjuangan Karawang, tried to provide skills training to members of the Tanjung village youth group. The purpose of this community service activity is, in addition to lecturer activities in the Tridarma of Higher Education, it also helps government programs, especially the Tanjung village government, Banyusari sub-district, Karawang district in realizing village work programs towards "Advanced, Prosperous, and Independent Villages". Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the Time Token learning model of students' speaking skills in Indonesian language subjects. The method used in this research is descriptive method with mixed research type of leatherative and quantitative. The research subjects were students of class VIII H SMP Negeri 9 Palu totaling 32 people, selected through simple random sampling technique. Data collection techniques used included observation, and documentation. The instruments used consisted of teacher and student activity observation sheets, as well as assessment of students' speaking skills through student learning outcomes data. The results showed that the teacher observation sheet was classified as very good, the student observation sheet also showed very effective results with a value of 91%, while the data on student learning outcomes in speaking skills reached 83 with a good category. These findings indicate that the application of the Time Token model is able to encourage equal distribution of speaking opportunities, increase student courage, and support active and structured speaking skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the feasibility of establishing a business selling and buying dry shelled corn and selling agricultural needs. This type of research is a descriptive quantitative method with data collection techniques using primary data and secondary data using observation and interview methods. The data analysis technique used in analyzing the data in this study is non-financial in terms of marketing in terms of marketing mix strategy including product, price, distribution, and promotion. Whereas in the financial or financial aspects, data analysis techniques will be used in the form of calculations using the Payback Period (PP), Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and Profitability Index (PI) methods. Abstract

Driven by the “Chinese culture going global” strategy and the Belt and Road Initiative, cultural instruction has increasingly become a crucial component of international Chinese language education. Based on 487 CSSCI and core journal articles from the CNKI database published between 2016 and 2025, this study employs CiteSpace 6.3.R1 to analyze the research hotspots and evolutionary paths of this field from the perspectives of keyword co-occurrence, clustering, burst detection, and author–institution collaboration. The findings reveal that the research focus in cultural teaching has shifted from “traditional cultural dissemination” to “intercultural integration,” with key hotspots centering on tea culture, Confucius Institutes, and professional degree programs. Collaborative networks show a growing trend toward clustering, and several keywords exhibit strong burst intensity and long duration, indicating sustained academic attention in this field. This study helps clarify the knowledge structure of cultural instruction and provides theoretical support and practical guidance for future topic development, paradigm construction, and pedagogical innovation.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the ability to write short stories for grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 5 South Banawa through the application of a Jigsaw-type cooperative learning model. The background of this research departs from the low ability of students to write short stories, which is caused by a lack of interest, imagination, and the application of a learning model that is still teacher-centered. The type of research used is quantitative research with a descriptive method. The research subjects consisted of 13 grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 5 Banawa Selatan for the 2025/2026 school year. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, documentation, and tests (pre-test and post-test). The results of the study showed an increase in short story writing skills after the application of the Jigsaw-type cooperative learning model. The average score of the students was 51.07, while the average score of the post-test increased to 80.98. The results of the t-test analysis showed that the calculated t-value of 10.55 was greater than the t-table of 1.782 with a significant level of 0.05, so the research hypothesis was accepted. Thus, the application of the Jigsaw-type cooperative learning model has a significant effect on improving the ability to write short stories for grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 5 South Banawa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengertian, ruang lingkup, dan tujuan dari sosiologi pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan (library research) dengan mengandalkan sumber-sumber bibliografis seperti buku dan artikel dalam jurnal ilmiah yang relevan dengan topik pembahasan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa konsep dasar sosiologi pendidikan sebagai cabang ilmu mengkaji hubungan timbal balik antara pendidikan dan masyarakat. Sosiologi sendiri merupakan ilmu yang berkaitan dengan masyarakat sosial, hubungan yang terjadi di dalamnya berkaitan dengan pengaruh struktur masyarakat. Sosiologi pendidikan adalah kajian yang menjabarkan bagaimana sebuah institusi badan kekuatan sosial dapat memengaruhi suatu proses dan juga hasil akhir dari suatu pendidikan begitupun sebaliknya antara tujuan akhir dapat memberikan keseimbangan di dalam proses instansi kekuatan sosial. Dengan demikian, sosiologi pendidikan bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana sistem pendidikan dipengaruhi oleh struktur sosial, budaya, nilai, serta proses sosial yang terjadi dalam masyarakat.

Abstract

This study examines the mediating role of muḥāsabah in shaping branded cosmetic purchasing habits among Generation Z by integrating the Theory of Planned Behavior and Self-Regulation Theory. Using a quantitative approach and Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares, the research analyzes the relationships among attitude, subjective norms, intention, muḥāsabah, and purchasing habits. The findings indicate that attitude and subjective norms significantly influence purchase intention, which in turn strongly predicts branded cosmetic purchasing habits. Muḥāsabah exerts an indirect effect by strengthening evaluative attitudes and sensitivity to social norms, thereby reinforcing intention formation. These results suggest that Generation Z consumption behavior is not merely impulsive but reflects a structured decision-making process involving psychological, social, and spiritual reflection. The study contributes to consumer behavior literature by introducing muḥāsabah as a spiritually grounded self-regulatory mechanism within ethical and value-oriented consumption frameworks.
