Abstract

This study aims to investigate the role of Indonesian in reducing English speaking anxiety in junior high school students. The study was conducted at MTsN 4 Sidoarjo in the 2024/2025 academic year, with a population of all eighth-grade students. The sample was determined purposively by nine students from class 8D representing three participation categories: active, shy, and passive. The instruments used were classroom observation and semi-structured interviews to explore students' experiences regarding the use of Indonesian during English learning. Data were analyzed thematically through the stages of transcription, coding, categorization, and interpretation. The results showed that Indonesian has different functions for each group of students. Active students use it as a supporting tool to maintain fluency in speaking and increase confidence when having difficulty remembering English vocabulary. Shy students use it as a bridge when forgetting words or being unsure about constructing sentences, so they can remain engaged without withdrawing. Passive students rely heavily on Indonesian as a shield to reduce their fear of mistakes or ridicule, allowing them to participate, albeit with limited proficiency. These findings confirm that Indonesian is not a barrier, but rather a strategic resource that can help reduce anxiety, maintain engagement, and support the gradual improvement of speaking skills. Therefore, teachers are advised to implement a flexible and strategic bilingual approach to create a supportive classroom atmosphere, emphasize participation over perfection, and build students' confidence in communicating in English.

Abstract

This qualitative study investigates the role of animated video design in English language learning by examining student experiences in junior high school classrooms. As educational technology continues to evolve, animated videos have become an increasingly popular tool to facilitate language acquisition. This research explores how specific design elements such as visuals, narrative flow, character development, and audio features influence students’ engagement, motivation, and cognitive processing. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and classroom observations involving junior high school students. Findings indicate that well-crafted animated videos can create an immersive and stimulating learning environment that supports comprehension and retention of English language concepts. Additionally, students emphasized the significance of relatable characters and clear storylines in maintaining their interest and enhancing understanding. The study provides practical insights for educators and content creators aiming to optimize animated video design for effective language learning.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi yang pesat memberikan dampak besar bagi manusia dalam bidang pemasaran. Transaksi jual beli yang biasanya dilakukan secara langsung, kini mulai dikembangkan menjadi otomatis. Pemakaian sistem kendali otomatis saat ini merupakan kebutuhan yang sangat utama untuk menjaga agar proses produksi berjalan seperti yang direncanakan. Sistem kendali yang banyak digunakan adalah kontrol PID. Pada penelitian ini membahas pengotrolan suhu untuk mendapatkan suhu yang stabil. Pembacaan suhu pada alat ini menggunakan sensor DS18B20 yang ditempatkan pada tangki dan diatur dengan mikrokontroler ESP32. Peltier digunakan untuk mendinginkan minuman dan menggunakan elemen pemanas untuk memanaskan air. Sensor level menggunakan sensor ultrasonik HC-SR04 yang digunakan unuk mengonrol level. Berdasarkan pengujian yang telah dilakukan hasilnya adalah sistem penstabilan suhu menggunakan metode kontrol PID dengan volume 5 liter dibutuhkan waktu 22 menit dimana kondisi awal suhu 280C menjadi 500C dengan memberikan Kp 12,6, Ki 3,15, dan Kd 12,6. Untuk mendinginkan air membutuhkan waktu 4 jam dimana suhu awal 280C menjadi 200C. Skripsi ini akan membuat sebuah vending machine menggunakan koin dan harapannya dengan metode yang digunakan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi mesin dan bermanfaat bagi manusia.

Abstract

Masalah yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancang Bangun Sistem Kendali Lifting Stopper Pada Alat Uji Drop Test Kepekaan Penggalak Kerjasama PT Ansa Solusitama Indonesia dan TNI-AD. Tujuan penelitian pembuatan alat ini diharapkan diharapkan dapat dijadikan sebagai sebuah solusi dalam pengembangan alat drop test untuk menguji kepekaan penggalak munisi kaliber kecil (MKK) di PT Ansa Solusitama Indonesia dan TNI AD. Alat ini dapat mengatur kestabilan ketinggian lifting stopper menahan bola jatuh sesuai dengan peluru munisi kaliber kecil (MKK) dengan ketinggian lifting stopper yang pertama yaitu untuk kepekaan penggalak meletus sesuai standar yang ditentukan oleh perusahaan dan yang kedua untuk kepekaan penggalak tidak meletus sesuai standar yang ditentukan oleh perusahaan dengan mengaplikasikan sistem otomatis pada alat uji drop test kepekaan penggalak. Penelitian ini dapat menganalisa perbedaan hasil uji drop test kepekaan penggalak yang menggunakan metode manual dan metode otomatis. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan adalah kuantitatif eksperimen. Mikrokontroller yang digunakan adalah Arduino Mega 2560. Mikrokontroller berperan sebagai perangkat kontrol untuk menggerakan motor stepper, motor stepper berfungsi untuk menggerakan lifting stopper naik atau turun sesuai dengan set point jarak yang dideteksi oleh sensor ultrasonik. Mesin drop test memiliki proses lifting stopper dengan metode penggerakan yang lebih efisien. Penggunaan sensor ultrasonik HC-SR04 berhasil memperbaiki performa pengukuran dengan signifikan, terlihat dari penurunan rata-rata nilai error dari 9,47% menjadi 6,14% setelah menggunakan sensor ultrasonik HC-SR04.

Abstract

The increase in electricity consumption in Indonesia can increase the possibility of disruption to the electricity network system that is used as a source of AC voltage for the community. To overcome these disturbances, PT. PLN will cut off the electricity network and then carry out repairs at points where disturbances are detected. The process of disconnecting the electricity network can disrupt community activities. Advances in power electronics technology and science have produced a solution in the form of a device that can convert DC electricity to AC. The tool is an inverter. Researchers will design a full-bridge topology single-phase inverter with a 12 VDC voltage source. The microcontroller used to control the switching of the full bridge circuit and maintain voltage stability with AC voltage feedback is Arduino Uno. The output voltage of the inverter will be increased to 220 Volts using a transformer. PWM signal generation with Fast PWM mode is used to generate sinusoidal signals with a frequency of 50 Hz and reduce harmonic distortion at the output of the inverter. This thesis will make a single-phase inverter with AC output voltage feedback and it is hoped that the method used can produce an inverter with small harmonic distortion with a stable output voltage.
