Abstract

This study aims to identify the characteristics of the most common diseases that occur at the Darul Mukhlisin UMI Padanglampe Student Islamic Boarding School Clinic in 2023. The method used is a descriptive observational research design with a retrospective cohort study approach, where secondary data from patient medical records were collected and analyzed. The results showed that the most common diseases found were Acute Respiratory Tract Infections (ARI), common cold, dyspepsia, hypertension, and gingivitis. Infectious diseases such as ARI and common cold dominate, while non-communicable diseases, including dyspepsia, hypertension, and gingivitis, also have a significant prevalence. Environmental and lifestyle factors play an important role in the high incidence of these diseases. Therefore, improving sanitation, health education, and routine health checks are needed to reduce the prevalence of the disease. Further research is needed to explore the relationship between risk factors and disease incidence and to evaluate the effectiveness of health intervention programs in the Islamic boarding school environment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) Mengkaji peran pendidik dalam pengembangan karakter siswa di SMPN 5 Manuju Satap Tanakaraeng. 2) Memahami peran guru dalam membentuk karakter moral siswa di SMPN 5 Manuju Satap Tanakaraeng. Untuk menjawab pertanyaan penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan desain penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki kondisi, situasi, atau aspek lain yang disajikan dalam bentuk laporan penelitian, dengan tujuan menggambarkan situasi tertentu khususnya, peran pendidik dalam membentuk karakter siswa di SMPN 5 Manuju Satap Tanakaraeng. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara dan dokumentasi. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini meliputi guru Pendidikan Agama Islam, siswa, kepala sekolah, dan dokumen/arsip terkait sekolah. Pengolahan dan analisis data dilakukan melalui tiga tahap: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Temuan penelitian ini mengungkap bahwa banyak siswa di SMPN 5 Manuju Satap Tanakaraeng masih menunjukkan masalah karakter, seperti kurang disiplin, datang terlambat, tidak mematuhi peraturan sekolah, dan tidak memperhatikan selama proses pembelajaran. Salah satu peran penting pendidik dalam membentuk karakter siswa di sekolah adalah melalui bimbingan dan pendidikan siswa dengan kegiatan positif sehingga mereka mengadopsi perilaku baik ini secara konsisten. Faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam pembentukan karakter diidentifikasi sebagai berikut: Faktor pendukung: 1) Fasilitas, 2) Pendidik Kurangnya dukungan orang tua Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa peran guru dalam membentuk karakter moral siswa dianggap efektif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi informasi dan masukan yang berharga bagi siswa, guru Pendidikan Islam, peneliti, dan semua pemangku kepentingan terkait.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of the Basmalah method (Learning the Qur’an While Playing for More Enjoyable and Easier Learning) in improving students’ motivation and learning outcomes in the Qur’an Hadith subject for class IX.C at MTsN 4 Bone. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, where each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were 26 students. Data collection techniques used were observation and tests. The results showed that the implementation of the Basmalah method improved students’ motivation and learning outcomes. This can be seen from the increase in learning motivation from 60.2% in the pre-cycle to 74.2% in cycle I and further increased to 85.5% in cycle II. In addition, students’ learning outcomes also improved, with the average score increasing from 59.8 in the pre-cycle to 77.1 in cycle I and 81.7 in cycle II. These improvements indicate that the Basmalah method is effective in creating an active, enjoyable, and meaningful learning process. Thus, it can be concluded that the BASMALAH method is effective in improving students’ motivation and learning outcomes in the Qur’an Hadith subject.
