The purpose of the study was to determine the correlation of predisposing factors with the use of long-term contraceptive methods (MKJP). This study is a quantitative study with a cross sectional study design. The research was conducted in the work area of UPT Puskesmas Kampung Sawah in December 2022. The research sample amounted to 156 women of childbearing age (WUS) who were selected using simple random sampling. The research instrument used a research questionnaire. The analysis conducted was univariate and bivariate analysis. The results showed that there was a relationship between parity (p value: 0.001) and the use of MHCP. It is recommended that PUS can play an active role in every family planning activity, diligently consult with health workers, and independently seek information through trusted social media, so as to obtain better knowledge about contraceptives. Keywords: Information Exposure, Knowledge, SADARI

Abstract

Introduction: The government has implemented various efforts to address nutritional issues, one of which is the issuance of Presidential Regulation No. 42 of 2013. This regulation governs the National Movement for the Acceleration of Nutrition Improvement, involving collective efforts by the government and stakeholders. To achieve substantial results, stunting reduction efforts must be integrated and converge across multiple sectors. This study aims to describe the collaboration process in stunting reduction, which presents significant challenges in implementation. Methods: A qualitative method with an interactive data-analysis approach was used in this study. The analysis involved three key stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Results: The study revealed that the collaboration process begins with face-to-face dialogue, fostering trust and leading to a commitment to the process. This is achieved through mutual understanding and shared benefits. While face-to-face dialogue is progressing, the involvement of diverse stakeholders remains limited. Nevertheless, the actors involved demonstrate mutual trust, a shared vision, and commitment to a joint agenda. In Central Buton Regency, collaboration is essential to address stunting effectively. Conclusion: The study concludes that while face-to-face meetings involve key parties, broader stakeholder participation, such as community leaders, is still lacking. However, mutual trust and a shared vision among existing participants highlight the importance of multisectoral involvement in reducing stunting prevalence

Abstract

Stunting is a condition of failure to thrive in toddlers due to long-term malnutrition, exposure to repeated infections, and lack of stimulation. Not all short toddlers are stunted, so pediatricians need to differentiate them, but stunted children are scarce. Responding to this problem, the government issued Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 72 of 2021 concerning the Acceleration of Reducing Stunting. This regulation is a form of the government's commitment to accelerating the achievement of the stunting reduction target to 14 percent by 2024. This research aims to describe the effectiveness of a sensitive nutrition intervention program to accelerate stunting reduction in Baubau City, focusing on the accuracy of program targets and program outreach. The research used a qualitative design with a phenomenological approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with six informants, while secondary data came from related regional government organization (OPD) data. The data was then analyzed in several stages: data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research results show that based on indicators of the accuracy of program targets and program outreach in sensitive nutrition intervention programs, the acceleration of stunting reduction in Baubau City has been running effectively even though it has not significantly contributed to reducing the stunting prevalence rate. The decline in the stunting prevalence rate of only 1% shows that the accuracy of program targets still needs to be improved. Access to drinking water and sanitation, community recipients of PKH benefits, and the formation of farming community groups in the future must be several things that need to be maximized to achieve an accelerated reduction in stunting in Baubau City. In conclusion, the consistency of policy implementers must be bound by a shared commitment and shared goals and understanding in efforts to reduce the prevalence of stunting.

Coastal communities in the East Mawasangka Health Center working area show an increasing trend of hypertension cases every year. This study aims to analyze the relationship between family history, obesity, stress, and sodium consumption with the incidence of hypertension. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional design, involving 82 respondents (n=82) from eight villages selected through accidental sampling in the East Mawasangka Health Center, Central Buton Regency, Southeast Sulawesi, from Juni to Juli 2023. Data were obtained through direct interviews using a structured questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test to see the relationship between these variables and hypertension. Results: The results of this study showed a p-value for family history (p-value = 0.004 <0.05), obesity (p-value = 0.048 <0.05), stress (p-value = 0.047 <0.05), and sodium consumption (p-value = 0.014 <0.05) with the incidence of hypertension in coastal communities in the East Mawasangka Health Center working area. Conclusion: The study concluded that Family history, obesity, stress, and high sodium consumption are significantly associated with hypertension in coastal residents of East Mawasangka, so intensive and continuous education to the community, practical salt consumption reduction strategies, routine hypertension and obesity screening programs in posyandu, schools, and workplaces need to be strengthened for early detection and appropriate follow-up, accompanied by nutritional and psychological counseling services for individuals with risk factors in coastal communities.
