Abstract

Abstract

Diharapkan Masyarakat Desa Mulyoarjo berperan aktif dalam upaya menurunkan angkat kesakitan dan kematian akibat penyakit TBC.Abstract: TB must involve the active role of the community, especially health cadres and community leaders in the form of service. The service aims to increase the knowledge, attitudes, and motivation of participants in using BUSAKA TBC involving 40 people (24 cadres, 6 community leaders, and 10 families exposed to TB). Through education, and demonstrations held in 4 meetings, the results were; that there was a change in knowledge from sufficient (57.5%) to good (52.5%). Attitudes from less concerned (40%) to good (65%). Motivation from less motivation (50%) changed to good (40%). Two new cases were found with positive (+) TB sputum. Conclusion: Through education, BUSAKA has succeeded in increasing participants' knowledge, attitudes, and motivation in dealing with TB problems. It is hoped that the Mulyoarjo Village Community will play an active role in efforts to reduce the incidence of morbidity and death due to TB.

Abstract

Operating room nurses are at risk of burnout. They face many stressors, such as the workload that must be finished. Using coping strategies that are adaptive to the situation will allow nurses to cope with their stressors. This research aimed to determine the correlation between workload and coping strategies with burnout syndrome in operating room nurses. The method used correlational research with cross-sectional approach. The population in this study was operating room nurses at Karsa Husada Batu Hospital. The number of samples was 26 nurses based on the total sampling technique. The data was collected from the workload questionnaire, ways of coping questionnaire, and Maslach burnout inventory. The data was analyzed using Spearman rank correlation test. The univariate analysis results showed that most of the respondents had a light workload, 16 people (61.5%), the most of respondents used problem-focus coping, 17 people (65.4%), and most respondents experienced low burnout syndrome, 16 people (61.5%). The bivariate analysis showed that workload had a correlation with burnout syndrome (p = 0.000) and coping strategies had a correlation with burnout syndrome (p = 0.032). A light workload and the use of problem-focused coping will reduce work stress experienced by nurses so that the development of burnout does not occur

Abstract

Increased serum production is a complication that often occurs in the period off post laparotomy surgery, with the prolongation of serum production can indicate that there is still a cavity under the post-operative wound filled with serum fluid. Increased serum production causes the drain to take longer to be removed and the hospitalization period is longer, resulting in higher hospital bills. This study aims to analyze the relationship of Body Mass Index (BMI) with serum production post laparotomy surgery and to analyze the relationship early mobilization with serum production post laparotomy surgery. This research design is correlation with cross sectional approach technique and sampling technique using accidental sampling with 18 respondents. The instrument used in this study was an observation sheet. All data obtained tabulated and univariate analysis and bivariate analysis using Pearson correlation performed. The results of the normality test (Shapiro-Wilk) stated that the data normally distributed so that the Pearson correlation test could be carried out using software Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS 20). Correlation test results on BMI variables (ρ = 0.001; r = 0.812), and early mobilization variables (ρ = 0.009; r = - 0.594). Therefore, recommended for implementing nurses, to improve nursing care for patients post laparotomy surgery in the process of emptying serum production. Where in patients who have a high BMI to observe serum production more closely and perform early mobilization training care or provide direction to more often perform early mobilization so that serum production runs out quickly.

Abstract

Objective: To examine the correlation between preoperative elective surgery patients' anxiety levels and their age in relation to the classification of operation at Lavalette Hospital Malang. Methods: This research design employs a descriptive-correlational quantitative approach using cross-sectional methods. The sampling method uses nonprobability sampling of the purposive sampling type, involving preoperative elective surgery patients in the Surgical Inpatient Ward of Lavalette Hospital Malang, with a total of 66 respondents. Results: The study's results indicated that the anxiety levels of most preoperative elective surgery patients were severe. Most respondents underwent major surgery and were aged 46-65 years. For the variables of age and anxiety levels, the Spearman's rank test revealed a pvalue of 0.001 and a correlation coefficient of -0.396. For the variables of operation categorization and anxiety levels, the pvalue was 0.017 and the correlation coefficient was 0.293. Conclusion: The study concludes that anxiety levels in preoperative elective surgery patients at Lavalette Hospital Malang are correlated with age and surgery categorization. It is hoped that healthcare professionals, especially nurses, will monitor the anxiety levels of preoperative patients to facilitate smoother preoperative procedures.
