Abstract

Background & Objective: Hospitalization is an emergency or planned process that requires children to stay in the hospital to undergo treatment and care procedures until the child's condition improves and can be returned home. One of the consequences that can occur in children who undergo hospitalization is anxiety. Interventions that can be done to reduce children's anxiety levels while undergoing hospitalization are by doing busy book play therapy. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the application of busy book play therapy on the anxiety level of children undergoing hospitalization. Method: This research method uses a descriptive approach with a case study design. Respondents in this case study were two preschool-age children who were indicated to experience anxiety. The intervention provided is busy book play therapy which is carried out once a day for 15 minutes. The level of children's anxiety was measured before and after the implementation of play therapy. Result: The results of the analysis show that there is a decrease in the level of children's anxiety after busy book play therapy. Conclusions:  Busy books as one of the creative media that can be used to reduce children's anxiety levels during hospitalization.

Abstract

Background & Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the nursing care for the implementation of tempe porridge in toddlers experiencing diarrhea at the Margorejo Metro South Health Center in 2024. Method: This type of research is a case study research using a qualitative study with an experimental approach. By giving tempe porridge made by yourself in accordance with the SOP for making tempe porridge. Data collection was done by interview, observation and documentation. Result: The evaluation results showed that after giving tempe porridge for 3 days with 3 times/day with the number of portions made (50 grams of tempeh, 30 grams of rice flour, 15 grams of margarine, 20 grams of brown sugar and salt to taste) each administration the problem of diarrhea was resolved marked by the frequency of defecation 1-2 times/day, the consistency of soft and clotted phases, the frequency of defecation improved, intestinal peristalsis improved. Conclusion: Giving tempe porridge to toddlers with diarrhea is effective in reducing the frequency of defecation and improving the consistency of bowel movements.

Abstract

Background & Objective: The purpose of this study was to provide nursing care for preschool-age children who experienced hospitalization using bibliotherapy innovation interventions against anxiety problems at Rsud Jend. Ahmad Yani Metro City in 2024. Method: Data collection methods using pediatric nursing care assessment sheets and anxiety observation sheets using VAS-A. The study used pediatric patients. The results of nursing care were obtained in the evaluation that researchers conducted on client 1 based on the criteria that researchers compiled for 1 diagnosis. Result: The resolved diagnosis is anxiety with both clients both having an anxiety scale of 0 on day 3 after doing bobliotherapy for 3 days. Conclusion: Suggestions for patients and families can apply bibliotherapy either at home, at the hospital or in public places to train children to avoid excessive fear and can be used to improve children's motor and sensory.
