Abstract

The safety of using liquid soap to wash fruit or vegetables is unclear. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of liquid soap on the body weight of mice (Mus musculus). This research is pure experimental using a completely randomized design. The treatment given was soaking fruits and vegetables in liquid soap with a concentration of 20 mL/L for 30 and 60 seconds, each treatment had 10 replications. The mice used were male, aged 4 weeks, with a total of 30 mice selected by cluster random sampling. Fruit and vegetable extracts were administered once daily, alternating fruit and vegetable extracts for 8 weeks in addition to the main food. Mice’s body weight was measured using a digital scale. The data were analyzed using One Way Anova and Duncan's advanced test. The results showed that liquid soap had a significant effect on the body weight of mice, but the average body weight of fruits and vegetables soaked in liquid soap for 30 seconds and 60 seconds was not significantly different. The conclusion of this study supports other research that the use of liquid soap containing surfactants for a long time continuously has a negative effect on body weight.

Abstract

Anggrek dendrobium merupakan salah satu jenis tanaman hias yang terkenal dengan keanekaragaman jenis dan keindahan bunganya. Pembungaan merupakan hal terpenting yang diharapkan dalam proses budidaya anggrek. Ada beberapa faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap proses pembungaan pada anggrek, di antaranya adalah jenis pupuk yang diberikan selama perawatan anggrek. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh beberapa jenis pupuk terhadap pertumbuhan dan pembungaan anggrek dendrobium Salaya Pink. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK), dengan 4 perlakuan jenis pupuk dan 8 ulangan. Beberapa perlakuan dalam penelitian ini antara lain; (1) Kontrol (tanpa pemupukan),  (2). Pupuk Kimia (Osmocote Dekastar), (3). Pupuk Organik Pabrikan (Nutrigan), dan (4). Pupuk Ekoenzim. Parameter penelitian yang diamati, antara lain; jumlah daun, jumlah bulb, dan jumlah tanaman berbunga. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis Anova dengan uji lanjut Duncan menggunakan aplikasi SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan jenis pupuk berpengaruh nyata terhadap semua parameter pengamatan. Pupuk organik pabrikan (Nutrigan) dan pupuk Ekoenzim memberikan pengaruh terbaik terhadap jumlah daun, sedangkan pupuk Ekoenzim memberikan pengaruh terbaik terhadap jumlah bulb dan jumlah tanaman berbunga.

Abstract

Research This study aims to improve student learning outcomes through the application of a project-based learning model. (project-based learning) in the subject of Science subject in class VII of AL-AZHAR Junior High School. Background of this research This research is the low learning outcomes of students where as many as 51.85% students scored below the KKM (70). This is caused by the lack of interest and motivation to learn and motivation to learn. This research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK) which was carried out in two cycles with each cycle consisting of the following stages stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were seventh grade students of AL-AZHAR Junior High School totaling 27 students. Data collection techniques data collection techniques were conducted through learning outcome tests, observation, and documentation. Results The results showed that the application of project-based learning model can improve student learning outcomes in each cycle, namely the pre-cycle average value of 72.81 with a percentage of completeness of 48.81. cycle average value of 72.81 with a completeness percentage of 48.15% increased in cycle I with an average of 72.48 with a 66.15% completeness percentage. cycle I with an average of 72.48 with a completeness percentage of 66.67%, and in cycle II with an average of 78.92 with a completeness percentage of 48.15%. cycle II with an average of 78.92 with a completion percentage of 85.18%. With Thus, the project-based learning model was declared successful to improve student learning outcomes in the classroom.

Abstract

Pembelajaran IPA merupakan bentuk usaha mengembangkan dan membina sumber daya manusia. Pembelajaran IPA memiliki metode – metode yang harus diterapkan agar siswa tertarik dalam pembelajaran tersebut. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Make A Match terhadap hasil belajar IPA Materi Pertumbuhan dan Perkembangan pada siswa kelas IX SMPN 2 Kalibaru Banyuwangi. Metode penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain nonequivlent control group design. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Data diperoleh melalui tes dan observasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji prasyarat (uji homogenitas dan uji normalitas) dan uji hipotesis (uji t). Hasil uji normalitas dan homogenitas, menunjukan bahwa data memenuhi asumsi distribusi normal dan homogen. Hasil uji hipotesis dilakukan melalui independent samples test dengan nilai sig (2-tailed) yaitu 0,000 < 0,05 terdapat pengaruh terhadap model pembelajaran Make a Match. Dengan demikian, Hipotesisnya adalah nilai signifikansi (sig) < 0,05 maka ada H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Maka terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada penerapan model pembelajaran Make A Match terhadap hasil belajar IPA materi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan pada siswa kelas IX SMPN 2 Kalibaru Banyuwangi.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran yang tidak efektif menjadi salah satu permasalahan pembelajaran saat ini, media herbarium kering dinilai mampu menjadi media pembelajaran yang cocok digunakan bagi peserta didik, sehingga menyajikan contoh tumbuhan nyata tidak hanya berupa gambar. Media herbarium kering memiliki potensi besar sebagai media pembelajaran konkrit, karena melibatkan siswa secara aktif. Penelitian ini menjelaskan media herbarium kering terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian dilaksanakan di MTs Nurul Iman Tegalpasir Jambesari Darus Sholah Bondowoso. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik Kelas VIII. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu model Siklus Kurt Lewin dengan tahapan: 1) Perencanaan, mencakup penyusunan modul, media pembelajaran, membuat LKPD, membuat lembar observasi, dan soal, 2) Pelaksanaan, mencakup pertemuan pertama dan pertemuan kedua, pertemuan pertama menjelaskan media herbarium kering sejak memilih tumbuhan yang baik, peserta didik juga mengerjakan soal pretest dan posttest. Pertemuan kedua mengumpulkan LKPD dan berdiskusi mempresentasikan hasil pembuatan media herbarium kering, 3) observasi, mencakup guru mata pelajaran IPA bertugas sebagai observer yang mengisi tabel ceklist, 4) refleksi, mencakup peserta didik yang menunjukkan sikap antusiasme dalam mendengarkan penjelasan guru (peneliti). Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, dokumentasi, tes. Pada tes awal, sebanyak 42, 86% peserta didik mendapatkan skor di bawah 70, namun setelah intervensi terjadi peningkatan sebanyak 78, 57% peserta didik memperoleh nilai di atas 70. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa, penelitian media herbarium kering dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar. Media ini tidak hanya memberikan pengalaman belajar bagi peserta didik, tetapi juga membantu guru dalam menyampaikan materi yang lebih efektif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran team assisted individualization terhadap hasil belajar IPA pada materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup siswa kelas VII SMPN 2 Kalibaru. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan dua kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Pada kelas eksperimen menggunakan model pembelajaran team assisted individualization, sedangkan pada kelas kontrol menggunakan metode ceramah. Data diperoleh melalui hasil tes dan observasi. Hasil pretest yang diperoleh sebesar 19,50 sedangkan nilai posttest sebesar 31,88. dalam hal ini dengan menggunakan model Team Assisted Individualization terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar. Hasil hipotesis yang dilakukan melalui uji T independen, Jika nilai sig, (2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,05 maka terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran team assisted individualization terhadap hasil belajar IPA pada materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup siswa kelas VII SMPN 2 Kalibaru. Berdasarkan hasil observasi di SMPN 2 Kalibaru dapat diketahui beberapa fakta dalam proses pembelajaran yaitu minat dan motivasi siswa kurang serta hasil belajar IPA mereka rendah terutama pada materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup.

Abstract

Dasar konteks penelitian yaitu dari hasil belajar siswa yang rendah dimana dalam Penilaian Akhir Semester hanya 40% siswa yang memperoleh nilai di atas KKM (76). Hal ini disebabkan oleh siswa kurang memerhatikan penjelasan yang disampaikan oleh guru dan siswa masih pasif dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan pembelajaran model kooperatif tipe window shopping pada materi ekosistem kelas X MA At-Taqwa. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research) yang dilaksanakan dengan dua siklus, pada tiap siklus memiliki tahapan, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X MA At-Taqwa dengan jumlah 24 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu melalui tes dari hasil belajar, lembar observasi. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rata-rata siklus I sebesar 74,3 dengan persentase ketuntasan 70,8% dan pada siklus ke II nilai rata-rata 82,6 dengan persentase ketuntasan 83,3%. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran model kooperatif tipe window shopping dinyatakan berhasil meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa di kelas.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an innovative and effective flipbook learning medium based on the morphological identification of macroscopic fungi in the pine plantation area of Mount Gumitir. The background of this research is based on the lack of attractive and relevant teaching materials for tenth-grade students, especially in the material on biodiversity and the role of fungi in ecosystems. The research method used is the 4-D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), which involves the stages of needs analysis, product design, development, and dissemination. Data collection was carried out in two stages: validation by experts (language, material, and media experts) and field trials on tenth-grade students at SMK Raudatul Ulum and SMK Bahrul Ulum. The instruments used included validation sheets for experts and student response questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of the flipbook as a learning medium. The results showed that the developed flipbook met the valid criteria from all experts, with an average score indicating a very good category after the revision process. Student responses also showed positive results, with most students stating that the flipbook was attractive and easy to understand, and helped them improve their understanding of macroscopic fungi. Thus, it can be concluded that this Mount Gumitir-based local potential flipbook has the potential to be an effective and innovative alternative learning medium to improve the quality of biology learning, especially fungi material

Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in shaping human development and serves as the foundation for every citizen’s right to quality learning. Within the educational process, learning activities are central, and students’ interest in learning strongly influences academic success. This study aims to identify and measure students’ interest in learning biology at SMK Islam Al Azhar. The research was initiated in response to teachers’ concerns about the difficulty of assessing students’ learning interest, which affects the effectiveness of classroom instruction. A qualitative approach was adopted using three primary techniques: observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Participatory observations were conducted during lessons, followed by teacher interviews to validate the findings. Questionnaires based on established indicators of learning interest were then distributed to students. The results showed that the average questionnaire score among 20 active students was 72%, indicating a moderate level of learning interest. These results were supported by the data obtained from interviews and observations. Overall, the findings suggest that Grade X students at SMK Islam Al Azhar exhibit a moderate level of interest in biology, highlighting the need for innovative teaching strategies to enhance student motivation and engagement in science learning.

Abstract

Salinity is one of the main obstacles in plant cultivation, especially during the germination and early growth stages. High salt concentrations can cause osmotic stress and ionic toxicity, thereby hindering water absorption and disrupting the physiological processes of the plant. This study aims to examine the effects of various concentrations of salt solution (NaCl) on the germination and early growth processes of water lettuce (Lactuca sativa var. angustana) in a hydroponic system. Soil salinity is a major problem in agriculture that can cause osmotic stress and ionic toxicity in plants, especially at the early growth stages such as germination. This condition hinders water absorption by the seeds and disrupts the balance of essential ions that play a role in cellular activities, thereby reducing the efficiency of physiological processes crucial for the formation of uniform and healthy plants. The research was conducted using a Randomized Complete Block Design. Complete with five treatments of NaCl concentration (0, 25, 50, 75, and 100 mM), each repeated three times. Seeds were sown on cotton media and watered with the solution according to the treatment for 14 days. The observed parameters include germination percentage, plant height, leaf count, and wet weight. The results show that the increase in NaCl concentration is inversely proportional to all growth parameters, where the treatment without NaCl yielded the best results, while the 100 mM concentration provided the lowest values. Statistical analysis confirmed the significant effect of salt concentration on the reduction of seed viability and vegetative growth of watercress. In conclusion, high salinity negatively impacts the physiology and early development of watercress through osmotic stress and ion toxicity mechanisms. These findings are important for the development of plant cultivation techniques in high-salinity areas and support the development of varieties that are more resistant to environmental stress, particularly in intensive agricultural systems such as hydroponics.
