Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of using the Quizizz application in online learning on student interest and learning outcomes in junior high schools. This study is a quantitative study. The study population consisted of 66 students consisting of two classes. Sampling was carried out by total sampling, namely class VII-A and class VII-B. The number of students in each class was 33. The research instrument used was a test and questionnaire. Based on the results of hypothesis testing using the t-test, as obtained thitung 6.836 > ttabel (1.701) at a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. Based on this, it can be concluded that the Sig. value < 0.05 and thitung value > ttabel, which means H_0 is rejected and 〖H〗_a is accepted. Thus, there is a significant influence between the scores in the experimental class and the scores in the control class. Based on the results of the hypothesis testing using the F-test, the calculated F-value is greater than the F-table (9.709 > 4.004) and the sig. value is less than 0.05 (0.003 < 0.05). Thus, Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected, indicating a significant effect of learning using the Quizizz application on student interest and learning outcomes. The study concluded that using the Quizizz application has an impact on the interest and learning outcomes of sevent

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of determining the differences in student learning outcomes using the Word Square and Group Investigation learning models on the human digestive system material in class VIII of Taman Siswa Junior High School, Pematangsiantar, in the 2020/2021 Academic Year. The population in the study were all class VIII students of Taman Siswa Junior High School, Pematangsiantar, in the 2020/2021 Academic Year, consisting of 6 classes totaling 215 students and a sample of 64 people, namely class VIII-3 as the experimental class I and VIII 2 as the experimental class II. From the results of the hypothesis testing, it was obtained that t count (6.55) > t table (1.99), at a significance level of α = 0.05 and degrees of freedom = 62, then Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted, meaning there were differences in student learning outcomes using the Word Square and Group Investigation learning models on the human digestive system material in class VIII of Taman Siswa Junior High School, Pematangsiantar, in the 2020/2021 Academic Year. It was concluded that there was a difference in student learning outcomes using the Word Square learning model on the human digestive system in eighth grade students of Taman Siswa Middle School, Pematangsiantar, in the 2020/2021 academic year, compared to those using the Group Investigation learning model.

Abstract

This research ains to determinan the influence of implementing Project Based Learning to determinan student learning oucomes. The research was cariied out with a queatitative approach using a Pree-test and  Poos-test  Control Group Desain research design and there werw 3 geoup  selected by random Assigment. The research population was seventeen tudent cosisting ot two classes, samples were taken using cluster random samping techniques, There is an influence of the Project Based Learning learning model on student before participacing in the Project Based  Learning model 66,14. Meanwile the avaragge score for the poostes class after following the Project Based Learning mode 80,86. Based on the result of the hypothesis test, it shows that count > Ttabel (2,574 >1,671). And for a probability value of 0,00 < 0,05, witch mwans Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected, it can be coccluded that there is a significant influence using the projrct abased learning outcome at Tamansiswa Pematangsiantar High School.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors for the implementation of the Google Meet application in biology learning at Yayasan Perguruan Keluarga High School during the Covid-19 Pandemic. This study is a qualitative descriptive type with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the inhibiting factors for the biology learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic are the internet network, student absence during online learning, students' economic conditions, and ownership of gadgets or laptops. The supporting factors are technology, a place to study in accordance with the Covid-19 health protocol, adequate learning resources, and adequate facilities and infrastructure. In conclusion, 95% of the implementation of the Google Meet application in biology learning at Yayasan Perguruan Keluarga High School during the Covid-19 Pandemic was stopped in cycle III, activities had been carried out and learning objectives had been achieved. The Google Meet application can be accepted in online learning, besides the benefits are also optimal and facilitate learning activities.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the Effect of Using WhatsApp and Google Classroom Applications on Student Learning Outcomes. This study is a quantitative study. The study population was 105 students consisting of 3 classes. Sampling was carried out by Cluster Random Sampling, namely class VIII-A using the WhatsApp application and VIII-B using the Google Classroom application, the number of each class was 35 students. The research instrument used a test. Based on the results of hypothesis testing using the t test, as obtained tcount 5.511> ttable (1.994) at a significance level of 0.000 <0.05. Based on this, it can be concluded that the Sig. value <0.05 and the tcount value> ttable, which means that H_0 is rejected and 〖 H〗_a is accepted, thus there is a significant influence between the values in the experimental class and the values in the control class. Based on the results of hypothesis testing using the F test, as obtained the Fcount value is greater than Ftable (15.201> 3.128) and the sig. value. smaller than 0.05 (0.003 <0.05). Thus, Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected, meaning that there is a significant influence if learning is carried out using the WhatsApp and Google Classroom applications on the learning outcomes of class VIII students of SMP Swasta Kartika 1-4 Pematang Siantar in the 2021/2022 academic year.

Abstract

The diversity of liverworts in North Sumatra is currently limited, highlighting the need for further investigations. Therefore, this study aims to collect and determine data on the liverworts of the Radulaceae family in the Batang Toru forest of North Sumatra. This forest was selected because it has very high rainfall with suitable humidity for the growth of liverworts. The samples were collected using an exploratory survey method, namely by collecting all the liverworts of the Radulaceae family along the Batang Toru forest hiking trails. The results showed 17 species of which three are new records for Sumatran liverworts namely Radula iwatsukii, Radula kinabaluensis and Radula obscura. The Radulaceae family was found as epiphytes on tree trunks and leaves. Based on the number of specimen collections, the most commonly found species was Radula javanica. In addition, Radulaceae in the Batang Toru forest was spread at altitudes between 800 and 1100 m.a.s.l and can be included in the Lower Montane Forest category.
