Abstract

This research aims to determine the validity of ecology practicum instructions. This type of research is development research using the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). However, this research modified it to 3D, namely Define, Design, and Develop. The research instrument used was a validation sheet. The data analysis technique used is the percentage technique. The research showed that the validation results from content/material experts were 77%, in terms of appearance it was 75%, and in terms of language it was 87%. Thus, it can be concluded that the ecology practicum instructions are declared valid and do not need to be revised.

Abstract

A healthy lifestyle is habits and actions that support physical, mental and emotional health. The aim of this service activity is to implement a healthy, family-based lifestyle. This activity is carried out with a participatory approach involving all family members. The material presented includes the importance of balanced nutrition, environmental cleanliness and physical activity, and leaflets are also provided as a source of information for families to implement a healthy lifestyle at home. The results of the activities that have been achieved include: 1) consuming foods that are rich in nutrients, such as fruit, vegetables, whole grains, protein and healthy fats; 2) do regular exercise, such as walking, running, cycling, or other physical activity for at least 150 minutes per week; 3) ensure adequate and quality sleep, usually between 7-9 hours per night; 4) drink enough water to keep the body hydrated; 5) manage stress in healthy ways, such as hobbies; and 6) carry out regular health checks to detect health problems early.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Sistematika Cryptogamae module based on research findings on the diversity of seaweed species in the waters of Dusun Labuhan Terata, Sumbawa Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. The research was conducted using a development method that refers to the ADDIE Model by Reiser and Mollenda, which includes Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. This study is limited to the Development stage. The research instruments are validation sheets and readability questionnaires. Data analysis is conducted using a descriptive quantitative approach. The validity test results of the Sistematika Cryptogamae module reached 86.6%, categorized as highly feasible. In addition, the readability test results reached 84.4%, categorized as easy to understand. This module was developed using a research-based approach and local environmental context to meet the needs of contextual education. It is expected to enhance students' understanding of the diversity of lower-level plants, particularly seaweed, and to foster awareness of marine ecosystem conservation. This research also contributes to the documentation of biodiversity and the sustainable management of seaweed resources. The conclusion of this study is that the Cryptogamae Systematics module developed is deemed highly suitable for implementation in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' interest in learning after being taught using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research using survey methods. Descriptive research is research that aims to describe the data systematically and factually, so that it can describe the state of the subject at that time. This research was conducted at MA Al-Ishlahul Ittihad Jabon Tentan, Bagu Village, Pringgarata District, Central Lombok Regency from March to May 2022, with a total of 20 respondents. In learning interest there are four indicators, namely: 1) feeling happy; 2) student involvement; 3) interest; and 4) students' attention. From the four indicators, a research instrument was formed in the form of a questionnaire with 20 positive statements. Then analyzed by the percentage formula for each item as a whole. Based on the results of the data analysis of the interest in learning questionnaire given to 20 respondents in class XI MA Al Islahul Ittihad Jabon Tentan, it can be concluded that students have an interest in learning with a high category of 12 students or 60%, while students' interest in learning in a very high category is 8 people students or 40%.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the problems of online classroom learning during the Covid-19 pandemic in natural science subjects for students of SMP Negeri 2 Kediri, West Lombok Regency. The type of research used in this research is survey research with qualitative methods. The population of this research is the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Kediri for the academic year 2021/2022 as many as 24 students. The time and place of the research was carried out at SMP Negeri 2 Kediri, Street Wisata Banyumulek, Kediri District, West Lombok Regency in the odd semester of the 2021/2022 Academic Year. The research instrument used teacher interview sheets and student questionnaire sheets. Data collection techniques used teacher interview techniques to obtain data and information from teachers, and response questionnaires to find out the problems of online classroom learning. The results showed that the students' responses in classroom learning obtained 37.8% questionnaire results in the category of strongly agree, 36.6% in the agree category, 37.9% in the doubtful category, 55% in the disagree category, and 12% in the very category. don't agree. This shows that most students agree with online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Based on the results of initial observations at MTs. Nurul Islam Sekarbela Mataram, it was found that student learning outcomes were still relatively low, and the methods used by teachers were still not varied. So the researchers tried to use the rotating trio exchange cooperative learning model. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the effect of the Rotating Trio Exchange (RTE) cooperative learning model on the cognitive learning outcomes of students at MTs. Nurul Islam Sekarbela Mataram, with one class using the same learning model. This data collection took place from 24 April 2018 to 12 May 2018. In this study there were two types of data obtained, namely, qualitative data and quantitative data on students' cognitive learning outcomes. Meanwhile, quantitative data was obtained from the evaluation results of student learning tests. The data is then analyzed using a predetermined formula. The type of research used is quasi-experimental. The research sample was class VII-B MTs. Nurul Islam Sekarbela Mataram, with a total of 32 subjects. Data collection techniques used observation sheets and questions in the form of essays which totaled 4 questions and multiple choice which totaled 20 questions. The results of this study show that the average value of the pre-test is 47.7 and the post-test is 69.6, so the results obtained in this study have a tcount greater than ttable at a significant level of 5% with dk = 6 (tcount ≥ ttable = 37.380 > 33.362). Thus, it can be concluded that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, meaning that there is an effect of using the cooperative learning model of the Rotating Trio Exchange (RTE) type, cognitive biology learning outcomes of MTs. Nurul Islam Sekarbela Mataram academic year 2017/2018.

Abstract

Biology as a branch of science is a process and a product. The process referred to here is the process through scientific work, while the products are concepts, principles, principles, theories and laws. Laboratory media is a course that is closely related to these activities. This course is worth 3 credits, with details of 2 credits of face-to-face in class and 1 credit of practicum in the Laboratory. So far, lecturers have never identified all indicators of science process skills that appear during laboratory media practicum activities. Assessment of reports and students' scientific work skills has been carried out, but has not been equipped with relevant assessment instruments, so that the science process skills that students already have have not been properly identified. This study aims to determine students' science process skills in laboratory media courses through demonstration learning methods. This study is a type of pre-experimental research, with a research design using the one-shot case study design. The subjects in this study were students of the Biology Education Study Program, Faculty of Science, Engineering, and Applied Sciences, Mandalika University of Education who programmed laboratory media courses in the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The type of data collected is science process skills data and student responses. The instruments used are for science process skills observation sheets and science process skills tests, while for student response data using questionnaires. Data analysis uses quantitative descriptive. The results of this study by calculating the observation sheets of students' science process skills, the data obtained are in the form of several categories of science process skills, including 23 students have a percentage of achievement of science process skills, with the category Very good (15.86%), as many as 39 students are in the category Good (26,90%), as many as 72 students have the category Enough (48,96%), and as many as 12 students have the category less (8,27%).

Abstract

Efforts to improve the quality of science learning require various breakthroughs, both in curriculum development, learning innovation, learning media and fulfillment of educational facilities and infrastructure. To improve student achievement, teachers are required to make learning more innovative which encourages students to learn optimally both in independent learning and in classroom learning. In order for learning to be more optimal, it is also necessary that learning media must be effective and selective in accordance with the subjects taught in improving student achievement. Learning media is one of the important components in learning. Media is a tool to understand the concept or subject matter. Biology is a part of science (science) which contains scientific concepts and develops science process skills. Science process skills can be possessed by students through direct observation of objects that involve various student activities in the classroom and outside the classroom. Lately, the implementation of the science learning process, especially Biology with the approach of science process skills and the use of learning media is still not optimal. There are still few teachers who want to develop science process skills in learning biology. Likewise, there are still teachers who are less creative in using learning media for various reasons, such as the availability of tools and practicum materials, limited funds, time and others. To find alternative solutions to the problems above, a workshop on making semi-permanent preparations was held for teachers. With the aim of training teachers to make preparations that are very important in supporting the implementation of biology practicum in schools. The results of this community service activity show that the teachers are very enthusiastic and feel the benefits of this activity in the learning process. This activity is expected to be improved again while still paying attention to the needs of teachers with other materials so that they can open the insight of Biology teachers in innovating to create various learning media needed.

Abstract

Senyiur Hamlet is one of the hamlets located in Senyiur Village, Keruak District, East Lombok Regency. The purpose of this service activity is to increase the knowledge and skills of the community in Senyiur Hamlet about processing corn into Corn Cake. In addition, it can provide alternative post-harvest handling of corn, especially corn that is able to produce products that are acceptable to consumers, provide alternatives to consumers of corn-based products, and open up opportunities for developing agribusiness-based home industries. Methods of activities carried out include: 1) Site surveys and discussions on the technical implementation of activities with partners (Head of Senyiur Hamlet); 2) Determination of targets to be invited, resource persons who will provide knowledge and training; 3) Determination of students who will become assistants when making processed corn products; 4) Submission of materials on the benefits and various processed products based on Corn; 5) Demonstration of processing corn pudding, corn cake and ice corn and 6) Evaluation of Target Knowledge and Motivation. Based on this activity, it is hoped that there will be an increase in community knowledge and skills in processing corn into snacks that have high economic value.

With the aim of training teachers to make a biology insectarium which is very important in supporting the implementation of biology practicum in schools. The target audience for this service are the teachers of Mts. Dharut Thayyibin Batu Jai, Central Lombok Regency. From the evaluation results, the results and benefits of this service activity include improving the skills of Mts teachers. in making a biology insectarium as a medium for learning biology. This service activity went smoothly, because of various supporters, especially the participation of participants who were quite enthusiastic and actively participated in this training activity. This training activity should be carried out on a broader target and the material can be developed in the manufacture of various types of Biological insectariums. Thus, it is hoped that in the future it will be able to help biology teachers in developing science learning media, so that the quality of science learning can be further improved.
