Abstract

Red chili (Capsicum annuum L.) is one of the commodities vegetables that have high economic value. One attempt to increase the growth and yield of chili plants by using liquid organic fertilizer and mycorrhizal biological fertilizer. This research aims to determine the best dosage of liquid organic fertilizer and mycorrhizal biological fertilizer on the yield of red chili (Capsium annum L.). The research was carried out on land of Agriculture of Palembang City, South Sumatra Province. The research period was carried out from February to June 2023. The research used a Randomized Group Factorial Design (RAKF) with 9 treatments and 3 replications. The first factor is liquid organic fertilizer from vegetable waste according to the treatment, namely O1 = 5 ml/L, O2 = 10 ml/L and O3= 15 ml/L. The second factor is the provision of Mycorrhizal biofertilizer (M) which consists of 4 treatment dose levels, namely M0 = 0 g/ta (without mycorrhiza), M1 = 2.5 g/ta, M2 = 5 g/ta, M3 = 7.5 g /ta. The observation parameters in this study were chili weight per plant (g), chili weight per plot (g) and number of productive brances (brances). The results of the research showed that treatment with a POC dose of vegetable waste of 5 ml/l of water with mycorrhizal biological fertilizer of 2.5 g/lot had the highest influence on chili plant production of 48.33 g/plot or the equivalent of 193,32 kuintal/ha.

Abstract

Corn is an alternative crop that replaces staple foods other than rice.  Efforts to increase corn production in less fertile land with the application of liquid organic fertilizer (POC) vegetable waste and NPK provide nutrients and improve soil structure so that roots develop well. This study aims to obtain the right POC and NPK dose to increase the growth and production of sweet corn. The method used is field experiments.  The layout on the field uses a Split Plot Design with 12 combinations repeated 3 times.  The size of the plot is 2 x 2 m.  As the main plot, namely NPK fertilizer K1 (30 g/plot), K2 (60 g/plot), and K3 (90 g/plot).  As a subplot, namely POC of vegetable waste P0 (0 ml/L), P1 (10 ml/L) P2 (20 ml/L), and P3 (30 ml/L). The application of POC 30 ml/L with NPK fertilizer 30 g/plot is the best combination of treatment in increasing production by 12.6 kg/plot or 25.20 tons/ha.

Abstract

Kelakai (Stenochlaena palutris) merupakan salah satu pangan lokal di Kalimantan Tengah yang kaya akan zat gizi dan sangat lazim dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat serta sangat mudah diperoleh disekitar rumah masyarakat. Pangan lokal yang mudah diperoleh di lingkungan sekitar masyarakat dapat membantu untuk mengatasi kerawanan pangan dan kekurangan gizi sehingga dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai upaya untuk penanganan stunting, khususnya di Kalimantan Tengah. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu balita di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Kereng Bangkirai tentang pemanfaatan bahan pangan lokal kelakai dalam pencegahan stunting. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan yaitu dengan memberi edukasi untuk mencapai peningkatan pengetahuan sasaran dengan peserta sebanyak 15 orang. Evaluasi ketercapaian legiatan yaitu dengan mengukur pengetahuan ibu balita sebelum dan sesudah diberi edukasi. Indikator keberhasilan jika lebih dari 75% peserta kegiatan telah memahami dengan baik materi yang disampaikan. Hasil yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis secara statistik. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan peserta menjadi sebagian besar kategori baik setelah diberi penyuluhan (86,67%). Hasil ini menunjukkan keberhasilan pelaksanaan kegiatan dengan indikator peserta memperoleh kategori pengetahuan baik >75%. Hasil menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan signifikan terhadap pengetahuan dengan nilai p=0,012 (<0,05).

Abstract

Hipertensi merupakan masalah kesehatan masyarakat di Indonesia yang dapat menyerang semua usia, termasuk usia produktif. Hasil Kajian Kesehatan Dasar tahun 2018 menemukan bahwa penderita hipertensi masih berjumlah 34,1%, dan selanjutnya ditemukan bahwa hipertensi merupakan penyebab kematian ketiga di antara semua kelompok umur setelah stroke dan tuberkulosis. Tekanan darah tinggi juga erat kaitannya dengan peningkatan risiko stroke, penyakit jantung, dan penyakit ginjal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis artikel yang membahas faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan hipertensi pada usia produktif. Desain yang digunakan adalah tinjauan literatur. Artikel dikumpulkan menggunakan mesin pencari yang didistribusikan secara publik seperti Google Scholar, Scholar, dan Garuda Portal. Kriteria artikel yang digunakan adalah artikel yang terbit pada interval waktu 2019-2024. Berdasarkan artikel yang dikumpulkan didapatkan hasil bahwa kejadian hipertensi pada usia Produktif lebih banyak dihubungkan dengan kebiasaan asupan garam, perilaku merokok, dan tingkat stress

The study aimed to obtain data on the dynamics and types of arthropods in cabbage plantations. The study was conducted in cabbage plantations in Kerinjing Village, Pagaralam City from June 2024 to July 2024. The method used to determine the types and populations of arthropods was by setting traps on the soil surface and insect nets (sweep nets) for arthropods in the plant canopy. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and further Least Significant Difference (LSD) tests at a significance level of 5%. The results of the study found six orders of arthropods, namely Araneida, Coleoptera, Dermaptera, Hymenoptera, Lepidoptera, and Orthoptera. The population of arthropods in each order was found to fluctuate. The highest population in the Dermaptera order was 6.79 individuals, and the lowest in the Araneida order was 0.78 individuals, while in the Coleoptera, Hymenoptera, Lepidoptera, and Orthoptera orders were 0.83, 0.92, 2.46, and 0.93, respectively. Data on the dynamics of diverse arthropod populations can be the basis for determining the timing and methods of environmentally friendly and sustainable pest population control in cabbage plantations.

Abstract

Low or poor nutritional status in the growth of infants and children, namely at the age of under five years, can result in impaired physical growth and intelligence. Rapid brain development can only be achieved if the child has good nutritional status. Children given complementary foods after 6 months are generally smarter and have stronger immune systems, reducing the risk of food allergies. The research design was a completely randomized design using three variations of the formula comparison of catfish flour: spinach flour: wheat flour, P1 (15 g: 45 g: 240 g), P2 (30 g: 30 g: 240 g), and P3 (45 g: 15 g: 240 g). Then organoleptic and acceptability tests were carried out. The results showed that the characteristics of catfish flour have a brownish white color, a fishy aroma of catfish, a slightly rough texture, and a slightly lumpy texture. Spinach flour is bright green, has a powerful spinach aroma, a smooth texture, and does not lump. Biscuit products have characteristics of green color, savory taste, crunchy texture, and aroma not typical of catfish. The acceptance test results showed that 30 panelists liked the flavor and smell of formula P2, while the texture and color were like formula P3.
