Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui apakah kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran inkuiri lebih baik dari pada kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa dengan pembelajaran saintifik.  Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimen, yang mengunakan  pretes-postes control group desaign.  Adapun populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Matangkuli, sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak dua kelas. Akan dipilih secara sampling incidental yaitu kelas VII-1 sebagai kelas eksperimen menggunakan model inkuiri dan kelas VII-3 sebagai kelas kontrol menggunakan pendekatan  pembelajaran saintifik. pengolahan data mengunakan spss versi 18. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: nilai Sig (p-value) > α 0,05), maka H_0diterima yaitu 0,076 pada kelas kontrol dan 0,093 kelas eksperimen sehingga data bertribusi normal. Analisis uji-t kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa di peroleh 0,000 < 0,05, maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hal itu berarti bahwa kemampuan berfikir kritis matematis siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran inkuiri lebih baik dari pada kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis matematis siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan pendekatan pembelajaran saintifik.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital menuntut guru untuk memiliki kompetensi dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi ke dalam proses pembelajaran. Namun, di SD Negeri 5 Kuta Blang Kabupaten Bireuen, masih ditemukan kendala dalam pemanfaatan teknologi secara optimal dalam pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran. Permasalahan ini berdampak pada rendahnya literasi digital siswa dan terbatasnya variasi pembelajaran berbasis TIK di kelas. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mendampingi guru dalam mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran yang terintegrasi dengan pendekatan TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) guna meningkatkan literasi digital di sekolah dasar. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi sosialisasi konsep TPACK, pelatihan penyusunan RPP berbasis TPACK, dan pendampingan praktik pembuatan media pembelajaran digital menggunakan aplikasi sederhana yang sesuai dengan konteks pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. Hasil dari kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman guru terhadap konsep TPACK serta kemampuan guru dalam menyusun perangkat pembelajaran berbasis TIK yang relevan dan inovatif. Guru juga mulai terbiasa menggunakan platform digital untuk mendukung proses belajar mengajar, seperti Canva, Wordwall, dan Google Slides. Dampak dari kegiatan ini terlihat dari meningkatnya keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran serta terciptanya suasana belajar yang lebih interaktif. Luaran yang dihasilkan dari kegiatan ini berupa modul pelatihan, perangkat pembelajaran (RPP dan media digital), serta publikasi artikel pengabdian. Kegiatan ini diharapkan menjadi langkah awal dalam membangun budaya literasi digital yang kuat di lingkungan sekolah dasar melalui peningkatan kapasitas guru dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi secara pedagogis dan kontekstual.

Abstract

The research aimed to see whether SAVI learning approach is better than a normal class in improving students critical mathematical thinking skills due to number theory lectures of mathematics. This research used a quantitative research approach with experimental method in the form of quasi-experiment. The population of this research was all the fourth semester of mathematics department students of Malikussaleh University. The sampling used was a purposive sampling that consisted of students in class A1 and A2. The research design used a non -equivalent control group design. The instrument used in this research was a set of questionnaire of critical thinking that had been validated by several validators. Then, the analysis of the improvement score of students critical mathematical skills used a normalized gain data which shows the improvement of students score classification compared to the ideal maximum score. However, the n-gain score data of students critical mathematical skills of control class was not normally distributed. so a non-parametric test was conducted, namely the Mann Whitney U Test. Form Test results, the Asymp. Sig. (1-tailed) value was obtined around 0.008 < α = 0,05. This shows that H0 is rejected.Hence, it means that the improvement of students critical mathematical skills of experimental class is significantly better than a control class. Thus, it is also proven by the hypothesis that applying SAVI approach in learning is better than a normal class without any treatment in improving students critical mathematical thinking skills.

Abstract

Mathematics is a discipline that is taught at every level of education in Indonesia. Mathematics are interrelated with each other, and cannot be separated from other disciplines and problems in everyday life. Process standards that students use in learning mathematics include problem solving, reasoning and proof, connection, communication, and representation. This study aims to determine the mathematical connection ability of students who are taught through the make a match cooperative learning model better than the students' mathematical connection ability through the scientific learning model on the line and row material in class XI SMAN 1 Pintu Rime Gayo. This research is a quasi-experimental study using the pretest-posttest group design. The samples taken were class XI MIA 2 as the experimental class and XI MIA 1 as the control class. Retrieval of data in research using tests. The data collected from the test results were analyzed using SPSS version 18 to find normality using the Shapiro-Wilk test and to test the hypothesis using the Mann-Whitney-Test. Based on the results of data analysis, it shows that the N-gain average score of students who apply the make a match cooperative learning model is 0.71 (high category), higher than students who use scientific learning of 0.36 (moderate category). From the results of the Mann-Whitney-Test above, the Asymp value is obtained. Sig (1-tailed) is 0.0005 <α 0.05. This shows that the increase in students' mathematical connection ability through cooperative learning type make a match is significantly better than students who get scientific learning.

Abstract

Students' mathematical communication is stated to be low because students learn by listening and seeing the teacher solve mathematical problems and students have difficulty in expressing everyday events in mathematical models. This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of the Inside Outside Circle (IOC) type of cooperative learning model on students' mathematical communication skills better than using scientific learning. This study uses a quantitative approach with the type of research Quasi-Experimental Design and the design of this research The Nonequivalent Postets-Only Control Group Design. The population in this study were all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Nisam, while the samples were class VIIIB as the experimental class and class VIII-A as the control class with the sampling technique of purposive sampling. The data collection technique in this study used a mathematical communication ability test. The data analysis was carried out for the mathematical communication ability test using the t-test because the data were normally distributed and homogeneous, the data were processed using SPSS 18 software and the hypothesis test results were obtained with a significant value of 0.000 less than 0.05, which means reject H0 and accept Ha. The results showed that there was an effect of the Inside-Outside Circle (IOC) type of cooperative learning model on students' mathematical communication skills.

Abstract

Guru abad 21 harus memiliki pengetahuan sekaligus keterampilan dalam menggunakan berbagai perangkat teknologi baik yang tradisional maupun modern untuk memfasilitasi belajar dan meningkatkan hasil pembelajaran. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendefinisikan, menjelaskan tentang pengukuran, dan menjelaskan tentang pengembangan Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPCK). Penulisan artikel menggunakan metode survei untuk mengetahui tingkat TPCK pada guru matematika. Hasil kajian mendapati bahwa, TPCK merupakan salah suatu jenis pengetahuan baru yang harus dikuasi guru untuk dapat mengintegrasikan teknologi dengan baik dalam pembelajaran. TPCK dapat dijadikan sebagai kerangka kerja untuk mendesain kurikulum pendidikan guru yang lebih sesuai dengan era dan tuntutan pembelajaran Abad 21. Berdasarkan pelatihan yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat oleh Prodi Pendidikan Matematika FKIP Universitas Malikussaleh berjalan dengan sukses dan lancar. Berdasarkan hasil angket, hampir seluruh peserta memberikan tanggapan positif, memperoleh persentase 95,81% dengan kategori sangat baik.

Abstract

Mathematical reasoning is one of the abilities that must have by students after learning mathematics. To improve students’ reasoning, teachers also have to good in reasoning. Due to the importance of reasoning for teachers, a qualitative descriptive research was conducted to analyze how the reasoning of preservice mathematics teachers in solving critical thinking problem. The data were collected through instrument test that consists of one problem about perimeter of a rectangle from 40 preservice mathematics teachers of first year in one of public universities in North Aceh, Aceh, Indonesia. The problem measured the skill of manipulating mathematical process; constructing mathematical proof, and drawing conclusion. Their works were analyzed for each indicator of reasoning. The result showed that more than 75% preservice mathematics teachers were wrong in solving the problem. They were not good in constructing mathematical proof to draw a conclusion. It concludes that preservice mathematics teachers’ ability in mathematical reasoning was not satisfied. The ability still needs to be improved through learning activities and they must be accustomed to the problems or situations that involving reasoning

Abstract

Pengembangan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah dasar merupakan hal krusial dalam mencetak generasi yang memiliki keterampilan literasi dan numerasi yang memadai. Pelatihan guru SD dalam mengembangkan modul pembelajaran terintegrasi Bahasa Indonesia dan Matematika dirancang sebagai solusi untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam menyusun perangkat ajar yang efektif dan kontekstual. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Seunuddon, Kabupaten Aceh Utara, melibatkan 25 guru dari enam sekolah dasar mitra yang mengampu kelas III hingga V. Pelatihan berlangsung selama dua hari dengan metode interaktif yang menggabungkan ceramah, diskusi kelompok, tanya jawab, dan praktik langsung penyusunan modul berbasis tema lokal yang relevan dengan kehidupan siswa sehari-hari. Materi pelatihan menekankan konsep literasi sebagai kompetensi dasar yang tidak hanya mencakup kemampuan membaca dan menulis, tetapi juga kemampuan berpikir kritis dan pemecahan masalah numerik secara terpadu. Setelah pelatihan, guru-guru berhasil menyusun modul pembelajaran terintegrasi yang menggabungkan kompetensi dasar Bahasa Indonesia dan Matematika secara sistematis dan tematik. Implementasi modul di kelas selama dua minggu menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam partisipasi aktif siswa, pemahaman materi, serta keterampilan mengaitkan konteks bahasa dan angka. Monitoring dan pendampingan oleh tim pengabdian memberikan dukungan berkelanjutan bagi guru dalam mengatasi tantangan pelaksanaan. Kegiatan ini tidak hanya memperkuat kemampuan profesional guru, tetapi juga mempererat kemitraan antara perguruan tinggi dan sekolah dasar dalam upaya bersama meningkatkan mutu pendidikan dasar yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Students with good self-efficacy are generally able to overcome challenges in various aspects of life. This study aimed to measure students’ self-efficacy in learning mathematics in the Mathematics Education Department of Malikussaleh University during the 2024/2025 academic year. With technological support, PBL can be implemented more interactively and flexibly, enabling students to access learning resources, engage in online discussions, and develop problem-solving abilities independently. A qualitative research method was employed, with data collected through a questionnaire. The subjects of this study were students enrolled in the Mathematics Education Department at Malikussaleh University. The data analysis in this study was carried out through three stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. A total of 41 students participated in the study. The results showed that 6 students (15%) had high self-efficacy, 31 students (75%) had moderate self-efficacy, and 4 students (10%) had low self-efficacy. The average self-efficacy score among students was 76.47%.  Based on these findings, students of the Mathematics Education Department at Malikussaleh University can generally be categorized as having a moderate level of self-efficacy. Analysis of the questionnaire data indicates that most students put significant effort into solving the problems assigned by lecturers, and some reported never procrastinating on tasks. While some students disagreed with completing tasks only at the deadline, others disagreed with the idea of never postponing tasks and stated that they preferred to work under deadline pressure.  Strengthening this psychological construct is crucial not only for deepening students' understanding of mathematical concepts but also for improving their preparedness and effectiveness as future mathematics teachers.

Abstract

Digital literacy is an essential skill that students must possess to navigate the challenges of the digital era. It encompasses the ability to utilize technology to support learning, work, and creative activities. However, several studies indicate that many students still face limitations in the digital literacy skills required to participate optimally in today’s world. This Community Service Program was designed to enhance students’ digital literacy by providing training on the use of Renderforest.com, an online platform offering services for creating animated videos, graphic designs, and digital marketing materials. The participants consisted of 30 seventh-semester students from the Mathematics Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Malikussaleh. This training was conducted over two days with a total duration of 4 hours per day. The implementation methods included delivering instructional materials, hands-on practice in creating accounts and exploring Renderforest.com’s features, group discussions, and evaluation of the digital products produced by the students. The results show that 90% of the students successfully mastered Renderforest.com’s basic features, 88% demonstrated high motivation and enthusiasm, and 85% gained an understanding of the importance of digital literacy for supporting their learning and career readiness. In conclusion, the training proved effective in improving students’ digital literacy skills while equipping them with competencies that are highly relevant to the demands of the current digital age.
