Abstract

Proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR) represents an advanced stage of diabetic eye disease, frequently leading to severe visual impairment through complications such as vitreous hemorrhage (VH). Dense VH significantly obstructs vision and often requires surgical intervention. Pars plana vitrectomy (PPV) coupled with endolaser photocoagulation serves as a critical treatment modality, aiming to clear the hemorrhage, remove tractional elements, and manage the underlying ischemic drive of PDR. This report documents a case demonstrating significant visual recovery after this intervention. A 53-year-old male, diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus 6 years prior and under medical control, presented with a one-month history of sudden, severe vision loss in his right eye (OD). His best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) was profoundly reduced to 1/300 OD, while the left eye (OS) measured 6/15. Clinical examination revealed dense VH OD, preventing detailed funduscopic assessment. The fellow eye OS exhibited features consistent with high-risk PDR. The patient underwent a 23-gauge PPV, including core vitrectomy and extensive pan-retinal endolaser photocoagulation OD, performed under general anesthesia. Postoperatively, the vitreous clarity was restored, and a remarkable improvement in BCVA OD to 6/7.5 was achieved by the three-week follow-up visit. In conclusion, timely surgical management utilizing PPV with endolaser photocoagulation was effective in resolving dense VH secondary to PDR in this patient, culminating in substantial visual rehabilitation

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and understand the influence of corporate culture, work environment, and job satisfaction on employee retention at PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method, with a population of 630 employees of PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda. The sample in this study was 103 employees where the sampling technique used was purposive sampling with the Slovin formula. The independent variables in this study are corporate culture, work environment, and job satisfaction, while the dependent variable is employee retention. Variable measurements use a Likert scale, Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis and hypothesis testing was carried out partially (t-test) and simultaneously, Classical assumption tests such as normality and multicollinearity were also carried out to ensure the validity of the model. The results showed that corporate culture, work environment, and job satisfaction partially and simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on employee retention at PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda, Job satisfaction variables have the greatest influence compared to other variables. Simultaneously, these three variables are able to explain 59.8% of the variation in employee retention, indicating a fairly strong influence.

Abstract

The low levels of literacy and numeracy in Indonesian villages present significant challenges to social and economic development. Village libraries, which should serve as literacy hubs, often lack sufficient book collections to support community education. This community service activity aims to enhance literacy in Jatimulya village, Kuningan, West Java through the provision of reading materials and the organization of the village library. The methods used include setting up a reading garden, distributing books, and conducting literacy activities. The activity was attended by 18 elementary school students who showed high enthusiasm during storytelling sessions and reading exercises. The results indicate that appropriate book provision and literacy programs can increase students' reading interest and literacy skills. With better library facilities and ongoing support, village libraries have great potential to become effective literacy centers that support educational empowerment in rural areas. This activity successfully achieved its goals and had a positive impact on the community, particularly in fostering a literacy culture among children.

Abstract

This study aims to see the development of trends in the study of Islamic business ethics in the scope of business and management published in Sinta-indexed journals. This study uses a bibliometric method with the R Studio analysis tool which is used to analyze the bibliographic data obtained automatically. The results of the bibliometric analysis found that Islamic business ethics research is dominated by Islamic business ethics and ethic which uses more quantitative approaches. Furthermore, some of the research themes that can develop in the future are themes related to the Islamic Business Ethics Issue and the Customer Satisfaction Issue. This research contributes to future research and provides scientific novelty in the assessment of Islamic business ethics publications in the scope of business and management and is also practically and theoretically very important for academics.

Abstract

The main issue raised is the gap between the theoretical potential of fermented feed, which has been proven to improve broiler performance on a small scale, and the complexity and uncertainty of its implementation on a modern industrial scale. This study aims to comprehensively analyze these strategic prospects and challenges. Using in-depth qualitative library research methods , this study synthesizes recent findings from the scientific literature. The results reveal that the prospects for industrial-scale implementation are very promising, particularly in supporting production efficiency through increasing nutrient digestibility and feed conversion, optimizing growth, reducing dependence on imports, and developing innovative products based on local ingredients. However, behind these prospects, multidimensional challenges are identified, encompassing technical-operational aspects such as the difficulty of maintaining consistent product quality and stability during mass production, distribution, and storage, as well as economic challenges such as high initial investment and the need for changes in feed management at the farm level. The study concludes that the successful adoption of this technology depends on the ability to integrate biotechnology innovation with robust supply chain management, appropriate business strategies, and ongoing educational programs. As an implementation, strategic collaboration is needed between the feed industry, government, and the research world to conduct pilot projects, develop operational standards, and formulate supporting policies that can mitigate risks and accelerate the realization of the potential of fermented feed towards a more efficient, independent, and sustainable broiler farming system.
