Abstract

Teacher performance is a key factor in improving the quality of education, particularly in private special schools that serve students with diverse characteristics and face more complex educational service demands. Nevertheless, teacher performance in private special schools still encounters various challenges, including limited instructional innovation, suboptimal compensation systems, and variations in teacher competence. This study aims to analyze the relationship between innovation, compensation, and teacher competence and teacher performance in private special schools in Tangerang Regency, both partially and simultaneously. The study employed a quantitative approach using an associative method. The research population consisted of all teachers in private special schools in Tangerang Regency, with a sample of 105 teachers. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The results indicate that innovation, compensation, and teacher competence have a positive and significant effect on teacher performance, both partially and simultaneously. These findings suggest that improving teacher performance in private special schools can be achieved through strengthening a culture of innovation, providing fair and adequate compensation, and continuously developing teacher competence. This study is expected to contribute theoretically to the development of educational management studies and serve as a practical consideration for school administrators and policymakers in formulating strategies to enhance teacher performance in private special schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze organizational behavior and its impact on teacher performance satisfaction at Private Madrasah Aliyah (MAS) in South Tangerang City. The main issue addressed in this research is the extent to which communication, leadership, organizational culture, and organizational structure contribute to the level of job satisfaction and teacher performance. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews, observations, questionnaires, and document analysis. The research subjects included principals, teachers, and educational staff from two private madrasahs, namely MA Jamiyyah Islamiyah and MA Al-Ikhwaniyah.  The findings indicate that organizational behavior in both madrasahs falls into a good category, with a high overall average score. Effective communication, participative leadership, harmonious relationships among teachers, as well as institutional support and recognition are dominant factors that enhance teacher job satisfaction and performance. On the other hand, the balance between workload and welfare, as well as the alignment between salary and job responsibilities, still require further attention. Overall, healthy organizational behavior creates a conducive work environment, strengthens teacher motivation and loyalty, and directly contributes to improving the quality of education in the madrasah.

Abstract

Rapid digital transformation has brought significant changes to the way people communicate. Over the past two decades, this transformation has drastically altered communication patterns, with social media becoming the primary medium for sharing information, building social interactions, and expressing opinions publicly (Afif et al., 2024). Platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok enable communication across geographical and cultural boundaries, creating a fast, open, and massive communication space (Mujahiddin & Harahap, 2017). Based on this context, a Community Service Program (PKM) was conducted at Pondok Pesantren Al-Kaffah under the theme “Digital Footprint Matters: Communication Education for a Technology-Literate Generation among Junior High School Students at Pondok Pesantren Al-Kaffah.” The purpose of this program is to train students’ critical thinking skills in addressing and solving digital-related issues among adolescents. The method used in this socialization activity is participatory, educative, and applicative. Through this approach, students are not only expected to understand the material theoretically but also to apply it in their daily lives. Through active collaboration between university students, teachers, boarding school mentors, and students, this program is expected to provide not only short-term benefits in the form of improved digital literacy but also to foster a sustainable positive digital culture within the Pondok Pesantren Al-Kaffah environment.
