Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of Wayground media in increasing social studies learning interest among eighth-grade students at MTs Salafiyah. This research employed a qualitative method using a library research approach. The research data were obtained from various literature sources such as books, scientific journals, research articles, and other documents related to game-based learning media, learning interest, and social studies learning. Data collection techniques were carried out through documentation studies and literature analysis, while data analysis used content analysis techniques. The results showed that Wayground media plays an important role in creating a more interactive, engaging, and enjoyable social studies learning process. The use of game-based learning media can increase student involvement in learning activities, foster enthusiasm, and reduce boredom toward theoretical social studies materials. In addition, Wayground media helps teachers create more innovative learning environments and encourages students to be more active in discussions and classroom activities. Students’ responses to the use of Wayground media indicated an increase in attention, participation, and learning interest during the learning process. Therefore, Wayground media can be used as an effective alternative learning medium to improve social studies learning interest among eighth-grade students at MTs Salafiyah.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of social studiesteachers in shaping students’ disciplinary character atSMP Tunas Persada Malangbong Garut, the obstaclesfaced, and the efforts made to overcome theseobstacles. This study used a qualitative researchmethod with a literature study approach. Data were obtained from various relevant sources such as books, scientific journals, research articles, and otherdocuments related to the research topic. Data collection techniques were carried out through contentanalysis of various sources related to the role of socialstudies teachers and the formation of students’ disciplinary character. The results of the study indicatethat social studies teachers have an important role in shaping students’ disciplinary character throughmotivation, disciplinary habituation, role modeling, andthe enforcement of rules in the learning process. Social studies teachers also play a role in instillingresponsibility, obedience to rules, and mutual respectamong students. However, there are several obstaclesin its implementation, such as students’ low awarenessof the importance of discipline, peer environmentalinfluences, lack of family attention, and excessivegadget use. To overcome these obstacles, socialstudies teachers make various efforts, such as providing advice and motivation, implementingdisciplinary habituation, giving good examples, andcollaborating with students’ parents. Therefore, theformation of students’ disciplinary character requirescooperation between teachers, families, and theschool environment in order to run optimally.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the improvement ofstudents’ conceptual understanding on socialinteraction and social institution materials through theGiving Question and Getting Answer (GQGA) methodin class VIIA of SMP IT Najaahaan Bayongbong, identify the implementation of the method in increasingstudents’ activeness and participation, examine theobstacles faced in implementing the method, andanalyze the teacher’s efforts to overcome theseobstacles. This research used a Classroom ActionResearch (CAR) method with a descriptive qualitativeapproach. Data collection techniques were carried outthrough observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using the Miles andHuberman analysis technique, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the implementation of the GivingQuestion and Getting Answer method was able toimprove students’ conceptual understanding of socialinteraction and social institution materials. Studentsbecame more active in asking and answeringquestions, participating in discussions, and explainingthe material they had learned. In addition, this methodalso increased students’ confidence and participationduring the learning process. The obstacles found in implementing this method included students’ lack ofself-confidence, limited learning time, and differencesin students’ abilities in understanding the material. To overcome these obstacles, the teacher providedmotivation, additional guidance, formed study groups, and managed learning time more effectively. Based onthe results of the study, it can be concluded that theGiving Question and Getting Answer method iseffective in social studies learning to improve students’ conceptual understanding, activeness, andparticipation in class VIIA of SMP IT NajaahaanBayongbong.

Abstract

Ketersediaan informasi destinasi yang mudah diakses merupakan salah satu faktor penting dalam mendukung pengelolaan desa wisata dan meningkatkan pengalaman wisatawan. Desa Wisata Pasimarannu, Kabupaten Sinjai, memiliki berbagai potensi wisata alam, budaya, dan usaha masyarakat yang belum terdokumentasikan secara optimal dalam media informasi destinasi. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat mengenai pentingnya informasi destinasi sekaligus menyusun dan memasang peta wisata desa sebagai media informasi bagi wisatawan dan masyarakat setempat. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi observasi lapangan, identifikasi dan pemetaan fasilitas wisata, diskusi partisipatif dengan masyarakat, penyusunan desain peta wisata, serta pemasangan peta pada lokasi strategis di kawasan desa wisata. Kegiatan melibatkan 30 peserta yang terdiri atas pelaku UMKM, pengelola desa wisata, dan masyarakat Desa Wisata Pasimarannu. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih baik mengenai pengelolaan informasi destinasi dan pentingnya pemetaan fasilitas wisata. Selain itu, tersusunnya dan terpasangnya peta wisata desa memberikan kemudahan bagi wisatawan dalam mengenali daya tarik wisata, fasilitas pendukung, aksesibilitas, serta layanan yang tersedia di kawasan desa wisata. Kegiatan ini berkontribusi dalam mendukung tata kelola destinasi yang lebih informatif, meningkatkan partisipasi masyarakat, dan memperkuat pengembangan Desa Wisata Pasimarannu secara berkelanjutan
