Abstract

Stunting is one of the health problems that is still highly prevalent in Indonesia, especially in toddlers. This condition has a long-term impact on children's physical growth, cognitive development, and productivity in the future. One of the main factors causing stunting is the ignorance of parents or caregivers about the importance of balanced nutrition in the child's growth period. This community service activity aims to increase public knowledge and awareness, especially among mothers with toddlers, about the importance of providing balanced nutrition to prevent stunting. The method used in this activity is education through counseling, interactive discussions, and distribution of educational media through leaflets and posters. The activity was conducted at the Posyandu and involved health cadres and nutritionists. The evaluation results showed an increase in participants' knowledge by 75% based on the pre-test and post-test. This activity shows that direct and contextual balanced nutrition education can effectively prevent stunting in toddlers

Abstract

Abstract: Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI) are one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality from infectious diseases worldwide. Toddlers, as one of the most vulnerable groups to ARI, have a higher risk compared to other age groups. Based on a preliminary survey, Puskesmas Sentosa Baru, located in Medan Perjuangan Sub-district, Medan City, is one of the Puskesmas that often handles cases of Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI), which always ranks first in the list of the ten biggest diseases found at the Puskesmas. The purpose of the study was to determine the correlation of smoking behavior and environmental aspects to the occurrence of ARI in children under five years old. The research design used in this study was cross sectional. The research was conducted at Sentosa Baru Health Center. The research was conducted in June 2024. The population in this study were all people who had toddlers aged 0-5 years as patients at the Sentosa Baru Health Center in Medan City as many as 2685 toddlers. The sample amounted to 93 respondents. The sampling technique used in this study was the Stratified Random Sampling Technique. Data analysis was done univariate and bivariate. The results showed a relationship between smoking behavior (p value: 0.000) and the availability of ventilation (p value: 0.031). It is recommended that in an effort to prevent ARI disease in toddlers, it is hoped that the community will pay attention to the behavior of family members who smoke and the physical condition of the house by improving the condition of home ventilation that meets the requirements. Keywords: Toddlers, Smoking Behavior, Vantilation

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has significantly transformed healthcare systems, particularly in the era of Society 5.0, which emphasizes the integration of advanced technology and human-centered values. Digital health services, including electronic health records, telemedicine, artificial intelligence, and big data analytics, play a crucial role in enhancing patient care quality. This study aims to analyze the role of digital health service transformation in improving patient care quality and to identify strategic factors supporting its sustainable implementation. A qualitative approach using a literature review design was employed by analyzing scholarly articles, books, and official reports retrieved from reputable databases such as Scopus, PubMed, and Google Scholar. Data were analyzed through content and thematic analysis to identify major patterns and conceptual relationships. The results indicate that digital health transformation improves patient safety, diagnostic accuracy, service efficiency, accessibility, and patient-centered care. Furthermore, effective implementation is influenced by technological infrastructure, leadership commitment, digital literacy, data governance, and policy support. The study concludes that digital health transformation, when aligned with human values and ethical governance, serves as a strategic foundation for building high-quality, equitable, and sustainable healthcare systems in the Society 5.0 era.
