Abstract

This study aims to identify the optimal portfolio performance of transportation and logistics company stocks for the period 2020-2024. The single index model is used in the formation of optimal portfolios and stock portfolio performance assessment using the Sharpe, Treynor, and Jensen methods. This research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. Types and sources of data come from secondary data. The data in this study were analyzed with Microsoft Excel 2021. The purposive sampling technique was used in sampling in this study. Based on the formation of an optimal portfolio using a single index model, 12 stocks were selected as part of the optimal portfolio from a total of 17 sample stocks studied, namely  SMDR, SAPX, TMAS, HELI, LRNA, JAYA, TNCA, TRUK, SAFE, ASSA, AKSI, and  WEHA.  The analysis results show that the best performance measurement is the Treynor Index which has the highest value of other calculations with a total value of 4,296.

Abstract

This study examines the effects of financial literacy, perceived usefulness, and perceived risk on continuance intention in the use of PayLater services by considering satisfaction as a mediating variable and confirmation as a moderating variable among PayLater users in Semarang City, within the framework of the Expectation Confirmation Theory (ECT) and Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). This research adopts a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. Data were collected through an online questionnaire from 156 active Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) users in Semarang City using purposive sampling and were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4. The results indicate that financial literacy has a significant effect on continuance intention, while perceived usefulness positively affects continuance intention through satisfaction. User satisfaction emerges as the strongest determinant influencing continuance intention, suggesting that actual usage experience plays a more critical role than initial perceptions. In contrast, perceived risk does not have a significant direct effect on continuance intention. These findings imply that user experience and satisfaction are more influential in sustaining BNPL usage than initial cognitive factors. This study provides practical implications for BNPL service providers to prioritize service quality and system usability. Therefore, providers are encouraged to enhance financial literacy education while strengthening service benefits and quality to improve user satisfaction and promote continued usage, particularly among PayLater users in Semarang City.

Abstract

Purpose—This study examines how environmental, social, and governance (ESG) disclosure affects firm value. It also assesses the moderating roles of profitability and leverage in the relationship between ESG disclosure and firm value. Design/methodology/approach—This study adopts a quantitative explanatory approach. The sample comprises 61 manufacturing firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2021 to 2023, yielding 183 firm-year observations selected through purposive sampling. ESG disclosure is measured using Bloomberg ESG scores. Firm value is proxied by price-to-book value, profitability by return on assets, and leverage by the debt-to-equity ratio. Data are analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling in SmartPLS. Findings—ESG disclosure has a positive and significant effect on firm value. Profitability strengthens the relationship between ESG disclosure and firm value, suggesting that financially stronger firms provide more credible ESG signals to investors. Leverage also moderates the ESG disclosure–firm value relationship, though its effect is weaker than that of profitability. Originality/value—This research contributes to ESG and corporate finance literature by examining how profitability and leverage serve as moderating factors in the relationship between ESG disclosure and firm value. It emphasizes that the significance of ESG disclosure for firm value is influenced by financial performance and capital structure. Implications—The results indicate that companies should boost their ESG transparency, ensure robust profitability, and optimize leverage to increase market valuation.
