Abstract

Education should be directed at improving the quality of learning. Improving the quality of teaching is one of the targets to be pursued by every educator in every lesson plans are made. Learning will be successful, if educators concerned about the situation and the conditions in which learning takes place. Based on preliminary observations and the observations made by researchers on learning activities in SMA Conggeang Sumedang, obtained by the fact that that the application of the models of learning in the classroom has not influence on the critical thinking skills of learners, as most teachers still use lecture learning model. One attempt to solve the above problems, namely the problem based learning model that is a model of learning is done by the provision of stimulus in the form of problems and then do problem solving by students who are expected to add skills in critical thinking to understand the learning materials. Application of Problem Based Learning Model in the classroom, the implementation can use multiple methods and media stimulus. The implications of the implementation of Problem Based Learning Model in teaching civics is able to create a familiar suasanan learning among peers (students), democratic in terms of civics referred to as a laboratory of democracy, as well as a communicative and interactive classes.

Abstract

Dewasa ini peran generasi muda dalam menentukan pilihan menjadi strategis karena dianggap awam dan sasaran empuk politik, sehingga perlu peran pendidikan dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai politik yakni dapat dilaksanakan melalui Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendidikan politik dalam mata pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan terhadap partisipasi pemilih pemula (siswa) dalam mengikuti pemilihan umum Kepala Daerah Kota Cimahi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Kuantitatif dengan metode survey, Hasil penelitian menggunakan sekala likert menunjukan rata-rata responden setuju bahwa pendidikan politik (Variabel X) dalam mata pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan berperan dengan 79,54% setuju, dan 71,38% menyatakan terpegaruh dalam berpartisipasi (Variabel Y), dan pengaruh yang di hasilkan pendidikan politik (Variabel X) terhadap partisipasi pemilih pemula (Variabel Y) dengan menggunakan metode regresi sederhana sebesar 29,1%.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The number of parents who are too busy with their work are like the elderly who live in the countryside where her daily livelihood is a farmer and keeps busy in the field to cultivate her plants from before the rising of the sun until the evening approaches, resulting in a lack of attention to her child. It is an intentional lack of interaction between parents and their children where almost the average work of parents in Budiharja Village, Cililin sub-district is a farmer. The purpose of this study is to know: To find out how much parents provide parenting to children, fostering the formation of children's character and the influence of parental care to the formation of children's character in the Village Budiharja Cililin District. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method that emphasizes the processing of numbers and questionnaires as the main instrument. The results of research generally conclude that all the variables simultaneously have a significant effect on the implementation of parenting pattern to the character formation of children. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, the results of the questionnaire calculation that parents strongly disagree to physical violence 77.5% and 47% responded not agree to be hard to the child but the parents have given freedom to children. Parents always nurture the character of the child to fit the 18 characters of the nation, but they emphasize more on their children to be more religiously imitating the behavior of the Prophet Muhammad. Keywords: character, parenting patterns ABSTRAK Banyaknya orang tua yang terlalu sibuk terhadap pekerjaannya seperti orang tua yang tinggal dipedesaan yang mata pencaharian sehar-hari nya sebagai petani dan terus sibuk diladang mengurusi tanamannya dari sebelum terbit matahari sampai malam menjelang, sehingga kurangnya perhatian terhadap anaknya. Hal tersebut mengaktibatkan kurangnya interaksi antara orang tua dengan anaknya dimana hampir rata-rata pekerjaan orang tua di Desa Budiharja Kecamatan Cililin adalah seorang petani. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui : Untuk mengetahui seberapa besar orang tua memberikan pola asuh kepada anak, memupuk pembentukan karakter anak dan pengaruh pola asuh orang tua terhadap pembentukan karakter anak di Desa Budiharja Kecamatan Cililin. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskritif yang lebih menekankan pada pengolahan angka dan angket sebagai instrumen utamanya. Hasil penelitian pada umumnya menyimpulkan bahwa seluruh variable secara bersama-sama (simultan)berpengaruh signifikan terhadap implementasi pola asuh orang tua terhadap pembentukkan karakter anak. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan pembahasan, hasil perhitungan angket bahwa orang tua sangat tidak setuju melakukan kekerasan fisik 77,5% dan 47% menjawab tidak setuju bersikap keras kepada anak melainkan orang tua sudah memberikan kebebasan kepada anak. Orang tua selalu memupuk karakter anak untuk sesuai dengan 18 karakter bangsa, tetapi mereka lebih menekankan kepada anaknya untuk lebih religius mencontoh tingkah laku Nabi Muhamad Saw. Abstract

The 21st century’s skills-based education is called the knowledge era, and every academic graduate must be prepared to compete with the outside world. So, at this time, ready-to-use citizenship competence is needed to be a citizen who is not left behind with the progress of the times. This study used a qualitative approach, and the object of this study was a vocational high school (SMK), with data collection consisting of interviews, observations, and literature studies with locations in Bandung. A total of 15 informants were involved, divided into school principals, teachers, and students. The results in the field show that the PPKn learning material in vocational high schools is too broad and there is overlapping material, so civic competence must be increased according to the needs of the times. 21st century, digital literacy, technology, and character.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to re-look at how to build the character of today's young generation if we see still many behaviors or attitudes of the young generation that are far from expectations, this is associated with 21-century skills-based learning model that is being applied in schools, as for the methods used in this writing is the study of several sources of books, journals and other references that support this writing. from the results of theoretical studies can be concluded that the development of character for the young generation today is not separated from the culture and the three environments that support families, schools and communities. The use of 21st century skills-based learning model used in teaching and learning process as a way to build character must be tailored to the needs and objectives of learning, so that the learning objectives can be achieved well.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tentang model pembelajaran pendidikan kewarganegaraan berbasis kecakapan abad 21 dalam meningkatkan kompetensi kewarganegaraan. Kegiatan penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pembelajaran pendidikan kewarganegaraan saat ini berbasis kecakapan abad 21 dalam meningkatkan kompetensi kewarganegraaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data yang terdiri dari wawancara, observasi dan studi litelatur dengan lokasi penelitian di Kota Bandung. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa, guru mata pelajaran PKn, kepala sekolah dan teman sejawat dari guru mata pelajaran PKn. Hasil dari penelitian bahwa  kompetensi kewarganegaraan di pendidikan kejuruan harus adanya pengembangan literasi digital, dan karakter. Berdarsarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan Model pembelajaran pendidikan kewarganearaan berbasis kecakapan abad 21 dalam meningkatkan kompetensi kewaragnegaraan di pendidikan kejuruan dalam proses pembelajaran sudah berbasis teknologi dan pendidikan karakter terus ditanamkan dengan berbagai kegiatan baik dalam kelas maupun di luar jam pembelajaran.21st Century Skills-Based Citizenship Education Learning in Improving Citizenship Competence in Vocational Education. This article discusses the 21st-century skills-based citizenship education learning model in enhancing citizenship competencies. This research activity aims to find out the current citizenship education learning based on 21st-century skills in improving citizenship competence. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection consisting of interviews, observations and literature studies with research locations in the city of Bandung. The subjects of this study were students, civics subject teachers, principals and classmates of Civics subject teachers. The results of the study that citizenship competence in vocational education must be the development of digital literacy, technology, and character. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the learning model of 21st Century skills-based civic education in improving citizenship competence in vocational education in the learning process has been based on technology and character education continues to be embedded with various activities both in the classroom and outside of learning hours.

Abstract

This research aims to optimize PPKn teachers in PPKn learning, increasing interest in learning for inclusive students, so that students can be independent in their interest in learning and teachers can achieve the expected results and can find out the obstacles faced by teachers in increasing interest in learning. This research has a problem formulation including: How is PPKn learning at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Cimahi, what is the interest in learning of inclusive students in PPKn subjects at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Cimahi, what obstacles do teachers face in increasing the interest in learning of inclusive students at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Cimahi. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive research type. Data collection techniques in research are interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this research were to find out, increase interest in learning, and find obstacles in the context of PPKn learning at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Cimahi, achieved by gaining a comprehensive understanding of the dynamics of learning and the challenges faced by teachers in creating an inclusive and motivating learning environment.

Abstract

Character is very important to instill from an early age, because nowadays quite a few children grow up with global flows and intense use of gadgets. The implication of this is their character development in the future. In this program, the service activities we hold are given the theme "Growing the Character of Orphanage Children Through Educational Games", with a case study at the Ulul Azmi Orphanage, Cimahi City. This program aims to provide alternative positive activities for children so they can be free from using gadgets and at the same time refresh their minds. Character development in this activity is carried out through two main stages. First, this program targets elementary school children from grade one to grade six, with a more interactive method so that it is not boring. Second, through the medium of educational games, various moral messages can be conveyed in a way that is more interesting and easy for children of their age to understand. Thus, it is hoped that this program can help orphanage children to form positive characters from an early age.
