Abstract

The outcomes of situation analysis in SMP Negeri Kota Baru Kefamenanu East of Nusa Tenggara is the low achievement of students' mathematics learning outcomes seen from the evaluation results of mathematics subjects in the last four semesters and low learning motivation based on the results of teacher interviews. Therefore, we need an activity that aims to conduct training on math problems for grade 9 students and increase student motivation in learning mathematics. The drill method is a method for giving problems repeatedly. This method is considered relevant to the purpose of community service activities. The stages of community service activities begin with giving a pre-test, giving training on math questions, giving a post-test, and ending with giving a questionnaire regarding student motivation. The result of the community service activity was that there was an increase in students' understanding in working on math problems seen from a comparison of the results of the pre-test (29.05%) and post-test (94.76%) and students were increasingly motivated in learning mathematics refer to the results of the questionnaire. Based on the evidence, it’s crystal clear that service community activity is useful for training students to solve non-routine math problem and motivating students to learn mathematics.

Abstract

Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskrisikan persepsi mahasiswa terkait perkuliahan secara Blended Learning. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar dampak pandemic Covid-19 terhadap pendidikan. Dikarenakan sektor pendidikan salah satu sector yang terdampak di masa pandemi ini. Wabah pandemic Covid-19 melumpuhkan semua aktivitas diberbagai bidang diseluruh negara, khususnya aktivitas dalam bidang pendidikan di perguruan tinggi Indonesia. Untuk menekan penyebaran virus Covid-19, pemerintah mengeluarkan kebijakan untuk dilakukan pembelajaran secara daring. Namun, saat penerapan New Normal. Maka pemerintah mengizinkan untuk menerapkan perkuliahan secara online dan offline atau yang lebih dikenal dengan perkuliahan secara Blended Learning. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan perkuliahan menggunakan metode pembelajaran blended learning efektif diterapkan dimasa pandemic. Penggunaan blended learning dapat membantu mahasiswa untuk dapat belajar secara mandiri serta bertanggung jawab terhadap tugas yang diberikan.Kata kunci: Blended Learning, Persepsi Mahasiswa

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Bahan ajar berbasis budaya lokal materi Segiempat dan Segitiga untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri Noebesi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan, menggunakan model Plomp. Untuk mengetahui kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan bahan ajar berbasis budaya lokal, dilakukan pengumpulan data melalui validasi bahan ajar, observasi guru dan siswa, serta tes hasil belajar dan pengisian angket respon oleh siswa. Hasil analisis data yaitu: a) rata-rata hasil validasi bahan ajar oleh ahli materi sebesar 4,48 (kategori baik) dan validasi oleh ahli media sebesar 3,93 (kategori baik), menunjukkan bahan ajar berbasis budaya lokal memenuhi kriteria kevalidan; b) rata-rata Tingkat Kemampuan Guru mengelolah pembelajaran pada kedua pertemuan sebesar 4,18 (kategori baik), aktivitas siswa efektif sebesar 4,06(kategori baik), dan dan rata-rata total persentase respon siswa sebesar 92,95% (kategori sangat positif) menunjukkan bahan ajar berbasis budaya lokal memenuhi kriteria kepraktisan; c) hasil belajar siswa memenuhi ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 86,95%, menunjukkan bahan ajar berbasis budaya lokal memenuhi kriteria keefektifan. Kesimpulannya, bahan ajar berbasis budaya lokal yang dikembangkan dengan pendekatan etnomatematika ini valid, praktis, dan efektif.

Abstract

Deskriptif kuantitatif dan deskripstif kualitatif merupakan metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 22 orang. Subjek penelitian yang berjumlah 22 orang dilibatkan pada saat proses pembelajaran untuk melihat efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran Probing-Prompting, sedangkan untuk melihat perbedaan kemampuan kognitif subjek penelitian berdasarkan gender, dipilih 6 orang subjek dari 22 orang subjek dengan teknik purposive sampling yaitu subjek yang memenuhi kriteria yang sesuai dengan kemampuan awal matematika terdiri dari 3 mahasiswa dan 3 mahasiswi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Probing-Prompting efektif diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran. Hal ini didasarkan pada pencapaian hasil belajar klasikal dengan rata-rata nilai sebesar 81,77 masuk dalam kategori baik, ketika proses pembelajaran berlangsung subjek penelitian mampu merespon dengan baik setiap pertanyaan yang diajukan oleh dosen. Selanjutnya untuk melihat perbedaan kemampuan kognitif berdasarkan perbedaan gender baik mahasiswa dan mahasiswi secara berturut-turut memperoleh rata-rata nilai sebesar 86,67 dan 98 masuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Kemampuan kognitif mahasiswa sampai pada level 5 yaitu mengevaluasi (C5) sedangkan kemampuan kognitif mahasiswi sampai pada level mencipta (C6). Dengan kata lain kemampuan kognitif mahasiswi lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kemampuan kognitif mahasiswa.

Abstract

The teachers need help to convey the differences between relations and functions and to make concrete examples. The purpose of the community service team is to help students find and comprehend the theory and concept about relations and functions material for grade 8 by introducing and demonstrating the Papan Resi visual aid.The service held in SMPK Aloysius Niki-Niki, Timor Tengah Utara District, Nusa Tenggara Timur. The service method is based on action research: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data are collected based on the audiences' observation sheets and response sheets. Data analysis used data triangulation. The results of this community service are that introducing and demonstrating Papan Resi could be beneficial for increasing students' comprehension of SMPK Aloysius Niki-Niki. The constructivist situation influences it, and the service needs to be held for other teaching aids

Abstract

Masalah yang terjadi adalah guru harus kreatif, inovatif dalam merencanakan pembelajaran matematika agar siswa tidak merasa bosan dan jenuh dalam belajar matematika. Salah satu cara agar guru dapat melakukan hal ini melalui sebuah learning community yang terbentuk melalui kegiatan lesson study. Dalam lesson study para guru dapat saling bertukar pikiran untuk bersama-sama menciptakan pembelajaran matematika yang merdeka bagi siswa sehingga tujuan pengabdian ini adalah menciptakan aktivitas merdeka dalam pembelajaran matematika melalui lesson study. Metode yang digunakan adalah diskusi dalam tahap-tahap lesson study yaitu plan, do dan see. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa anggota lesson study dapat merencanakan pembelajaran, melaksanakan pembelajaran dan merefleksikan pembelajaran yang merdeka bagi siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini secara umum bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaiamana pengaruh variabel persepsi siswa tentang matematika terhadap hasil belajar. Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian ex-post facto. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Kefamenanu yang berjumlah 201 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan teknik sensus di mana seluruh anggota dalam populasi digunakan sebagai sampel. Untuk memperoleh tujuan penelitian ini, Peneliti menggunakan instrumen berupa kuisioner dan dokumentasi hasil belajar siswa. Dalam pengolahan data digunakan metode analisis structural equation modeling (SEM) untuk menganalisis pengaruh persepsi siswa terhadap hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh negatif antara persepsi siswa tentang matematika terhadap hasil belajar. Hal tersebut dapat  diketahui melalui nilai koefisien jalur yang bertanda negatif yaitu sebesar -0.15. Hasil analisis juga menunjukkan bahwa variabel persepsi siswa memiliki pengaruh signifikan dengan koefisien determinasi  sebesar 53%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel persepsi siswa berkontribusi sebesar 53% terhadap hasil belajar, sisanya adalah variabel lain yang tidak ada dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

The problem is that there is disequilibrium between old knowledge and new knowledge which makes mathematics education students difficult to study material on systems of linear equations in elementary linear algebra courses. Therefore, they need media that can facilitate old knowledge and new knowledge so that knowledge is equilibrium. One of the media that can be used is the advanced organizer student worksheet. The aim of this research is to produce an advance organizer model student worksheet that is valid, practical and effective. This research is development research using the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation). At the analysis stage, needs analysis, material analysis and learning environment analysis are carried out. At the design stage, an LKM is created which has four characteristics, namely identity, presentation of an advance organizer, presentation of the main material and practice questions to strengthen the schema or cognitive structure. Then at the development stage, the LKM that has been designed is validated by experts. Then at the implementation stage, small trials are carried out to get practical LKM and large class trials to get effective LKM. Then the evaluation stage concerns the things that need to be evaluated in the LKM. After going through this research stage, the results were conclude that 87.72% valid, 94.84% practical and 59% effective for student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Every concept in mathematics is related to one another. In addition, a concept can be a prerequisite for another concept. One concept in mathematics is the Pythagorean Theorem. In line with the results of interviews with mathematics teachers at SMPN Tublopo where there are still many students who do not understand the Pythagorean Theorem material and many students are still not focused and do not pay attention to the teacher during the learning process. So a solution is needed to solve the problems being experienced, one of which can be done is to do community service by implementing the Pythagorean puzzle media. Community service activities really help students understand the Pythagorean theorem material with the help of Pythagorean puzzle teaching aids. Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test, it can be seen that there was an increase of 270.83%. And based on the questionnaire, it can be seen that students find it easier to answer math questions, are happier and more enthusiastic when learning uses puzzle media. Students also find it easier to solve problems related to the Pythagorean theorem because of the help of puzzle media. Overall, we can see that there was a positive response from students after this community service was carried out based on the results of the questionnaire given after the activity ended.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence chatbots have become famous nowadays because of their ease of use, which is even felt by educators and students. However, the AI chatbot algorithm sometimes does not match what is expected because it is not precise and does not match the prompt. For example, when we type the prompt "basic concepts of mathematical modeling for middle school class VII" there is very little explanation of the basic concepts. The search results provided by AI chatbots are too complex for students who want to learn simple basics. Based on this, this research was carried out with the aim of developing an AI chatbot to support differentiation learning. This type of research is ADDIE model development research which is carried out in five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The results of the research at the analysis stage are that students need learning media that is appropriate to their level of understanding of mathematical modeling material as basic material before studying other material. The results of this analysis are the basis for designing an AI chatbot and bot scenarios to be developed and given to experts, namely educational technologists and mathematics education lecturers. After that, small class trials and large class trials at the implementation stage to get practicality and effectiveness test results in using the AI chatbot. The final stage is evaluation as a process of reflection on the results of AI chatbot development. The research results show that the AI chatbot media developed is valid, practical and effective. Valid criteria with a percentage of 89.7%, practical criteria of 85% and effective criteria of 77.67% in small group trials.      Keywords: chatbot AI, differentiated, mathematics learning.
