Abstract

Penelitian ini mengenai struktur komunitas gastropoda yang telah dilakukan di Perairan Tanjung Siambang Kelurahan Dompak Kota Tanjungpinang Provinsi Kepulauan Riau. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui struktur komunitas gastropoda di Perairan Tanjung Siambang Kelurahan Dompak Kota Tanjungpinang Provinsi Kepulauan Riau. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey, penentuan stasiun dengan metode purposive sampling, sebanyak 3 stasiun pengamatan dengan 5 kali ulangan menggunakan plot berukuran 2 x 2 meter. Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan 18 jenis gastropoda dari 5 subfamili yaitu Cerithiinae, Cerithioidae, Muricinae, Neritinae dan Nassariinae. Nilai kelimpahan jenis gastropoda tertinggi pada stasiun I yaitu 63,06 ind/m², terendah pada stasiun II yaitu 43,92 ind/m². Untuk indeks ekologi pada stasiun I keanekaragaman rendah, keseragaman sedang dan dominansi sedang, sedangkan indeks ekologi pada stasiun II dan III keanekaragaman rendah, keseragaman rendah dan dominansi tinggi.

Abstract

Perairan Teluk Sebong memiliki potensi sumberdaya terumbu karang dan merupakan tujuan wisata bahari. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis lifeform karang, indeks keanekaragaman lifeform karang dan kondisi tutupan karang hidup di Perairan Teluk Sebong Kabupaten Bintan. Pengambilan data dilakukan di 5 lokasi titik pengamatan yang berada di Perairan Teluk Sebong Kabupaten Bintan. Pengambilan data di lapangan meliputi kondisi terumbu karang menggunakan metode Underwater Photo Transect (UPT). Data karang yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan software CPCe versi 4.0. (Coral Point Count with Excel extension) dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui persentase tutupan bentik dan indeks keanekaragaman bentuk pertumbuhan karang. Hasil penelitian menujukkan lifeform karang di Perairan Berakit terdiri dari CF, ACT, CE, CM, CMR, CB, ACB, CS, dan ACD, Perairan Pengudang terdiri dari CM, CE, CF, CS, ACT, ACB, ACD, CB dan CMR, Perairan Lagoi Bay terdiri dari ACT, ACB, CE, ACE, CM, CF, CS, ACD dan CB, Perairan Banyan Tree terdiri dari ACT, ACB, CM, CE, CF, CS, CB dan ACD dan Perairan Pulau Rawa terdiri dari CM, CS, CE, CF, CMR, ACB, CHL dan ACT. Indeks keanekaragaman lifeform karang di Perairan Teluk Sebong berkisar antara 0,75 – 1,00. Kondisi tutupan karang hidup berkisar antara 30,87±3,08% - 45,40±3,77%, dengan kategori tutupan sedang.

Abstract

The morphometric characteristics of the red crab (Thalamita spinimana) have not been widely studied. This research was conducted from March to May 2021 in the waters of Dompak Tanjungpinang, Riau Islands. Each sample obtained directly measured the morphometric part using a caliper or calipers with an accuracy of 0.05 mm and the crab body weight was also weighed using a digital scale with an accuracy of 0.1 g. The samples obtained during the study were 119 crabs, of which 84 female red crabs and 35 male red crabs. The carapace width range for female crabs is 55.40 – 88.32 mm, while in male crabs the carapace width range is 16.35 and 34 individuals 68.96 – 90.94 mm. The weight of female red crabs is in the range of 50.0 – 103.6 g, while the weight of male crabs is in the range of 49.0 – 142.8 g.

Abstract

Yellowtail scad fish was an economic value fish that many fishermen in Kelong Village catch. One of fishing ground in Bintan was Merapas Waters. Fishing activities without considering fish stocks in nature will caused overfishing. The objective of this research was to determine the Maximum Sustainable Yield (MSY), rate and effort of utilization, and Total Allowed Catch (TAC) of Yellowtail Scad fish in Merapas waters landed on Kelong Village. The fishing gear that Fishermen in Kelong Village used to catch Yellowtail Scad fish was hand line. This research used survey method. Primary data from this research were catch and effort of Yellowtail Scad Fish, while secondary data obtained from fishermen interviews and related literature. Data analysis of this research used Schaefer method. The result of this research was the potential value of MSY is 2,501.37 kg/month with the optimum effort (f opt) 178 trip. The utilization rate of Yellowtail Scad fish was 38.48% and effort rate of Yellowtail Scad fish was 22.16%. Total allowed catch value of Yellowtail Scad fish was 2,001.1 kg. Overall, the catch of Yellowtail Scad Fish hasn’t reach overfishing, so the fishing effort can be more optimized.

Abstract

Pulau Batu Bilis Desa Kelarik dikelilingi oleh hamparan terumbu karang yang dangkal dengan tingkat kecerahan air yang cukup cerah, sehingga menjadi habitat bagi biota–biota ekonomis penting berupa kerang kima (Tridacnidae). Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengidentifikasi jenis kima dan mengetahui nilai kepadatan kima. Pengambilan data kima dilakukan pada 9 (sembilan) titik. Menggunakan metode Benthos Belt Transect, dengan luasan area pengamatan 140 m². Hasil penelitian dijumpai 2 (dua) jenis kima, yaitu Kima Lubang (Tridacna crocea) dan Kima Kecil (Tridacna maxima). Kepadatan tertinggi Kima Lubang  terdapat pada titik 9 (sembilan) dengan nilai 1.142,9 individu/ha, kemudian kepadatan terendah pada titik 7 (tujuh) 142,86 individu/ha. Kepadatan tertinggi Kima Kecil terdapat pada titik 7 (tujuh) dengan nilai kepadatan 928,57 individu/ha dan kepadatan terendah pada titik 8 (delapan) dengan nilai 71,43 individu/ha. Kualitas parameter fisika–kimia pada perairan Batu Bilis masih dalam kisaran normal untuk kehidupan kima seperti suhu 29,4⁰C, salinitas 29,5‰, kecepatan arus 0,08 m/s dan kecerahan 100%.

Abstract

Red crab (Thalamita spinimana) is a type of crab that has a light body color, favored by coastal communities for its thick meat and high protein content at a low selling price. This research purpose to determine the maturity level of female red crabs. This research was conducted using a survey method with sampling twice for two months which was carried out from April to May 2021 in Dompak Waters, Tanjungpinang. The results of the research found that TKG I was immature gonads. Female red crabs incubate eggs (Ovigerous) with yellow and orange color, dominated by immature gonads, while brown and dark gray colors are dominated by mature gonads.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the type of coral life forms and cover percentages on Batu Bilis Island. This research was conducted by purposive sampling method, where the determination of the 3 (three) research locations in this study were based on coral location observations and map images. The study results show there are 9 (nine) types of coral life forms in Location 1 dominated by 13.47% of Coral Massive (CM), 7 (seven) types of coral life forms in Location 2 dominated by 17.13% of Acropora encrusting (ACE), and 13 types of coral life forms in Location 3 dominated by 28.90% of Coral Massive (CM). The coral cover percentages are 40.90% of the medium category in Location 1, 31.60% of the medium category in Location 2, and 53.90% of the good category in Location 3. The condition of environmental parameters in Batu Bilis Island was considered good for coral reefs.

ABSTRAKPerairan Tanjung Pisau, Kabupaten Bintan merupakan wilayah pesisir yang terdapat sebaran ekosistem lamun. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi jenis lamun, tingkat kerapatan dan tutupan lamun di Perairan Tanjung Pisau, Kabupaten Bintan. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Agustus hingga September 2020, di Perairan Tanjung Pisau, Desa Penaga, Kecamatan Teluk Bintan, Kabupaten Bintan. Penelitian dengan menggunakan metode survey, dengan mengamati secara langsung kondisi ekosistem padang lamun. Pengamatan lamun dengan menggunakan bantuan transek kuadran dengan ukuran 50 x 50 cm, disepanjang garis transek 50 meter dengan tiga garis transek. Transek kuadran diletakkan di garis transek dengan jarak 10 meter. Hasil penelitian didapatkan lamun yang ditemukan yaitu Thalassia hemprichii dan Enhalusa coroides. Nilai kerapatan lamun Thalassia hemprichii sebesar 136,7 tegakan/m2 dan Enhalusa coroides sebesar 33,1 tegakan/m2. Total kerapatan lamunse besar 169,8 tegakan/m2, tergolong kerapatan lamun yang rapat. Rata-rata penutupan lamun sebesar 52,43%, dengan kategori kondisi tutupan lamun yang padat. Jenis lamun yang ditemukan di Perairan Tanjung  Pisau yaitu Thalassia hemprichii dan Enhalus acoroides. Kondisi kerapatan lamun tergolong kerapatan lamun yang rapat, dengan kondisi tutupan lamun yang padat. Kondisi kualitas perairan di Perairan Tanjung Pisau masih mendukung untuk kehidupan lamun.Kata kunci: Bintan, Kerapatan, Padang Lamun, Tutupan LamunABSTRACT The waters of Tanjung Pisau, Bintan Regency, are a coastal area where the seagrass ecosystem is distributed. The purpose of this study was to identify the type of seagrass, density, and level of seagrass cover in Tanjung Pisau Waters, Bintan Regency. This research was conducted from August to September 2020 in Tanjung Pisau Waters, Penaga Village, Teluk Bintan District, Bintan Regency. This study uses a survey method, by looking at the condition of the seagrass ecosystem. Seagrass observations use quadrant transects measuring 50 x 50 cm, line transects along 50 meters with three transect lines. Quadrant transects are on the transect line with a distance of 10 meters. The results showed that the seagrass found were Thalassia hemprichii and Enhalus acoroides. The density value of Thalassia hemprichii seagrass was 136.7 stands/m2 and Enhalus acoroides was 33.1 stands/m2. The total density of seagrass is 169.8 stands/m2 which is classified as a dense seagrass density. The average seagrass cover was 52.43% with the category of solid seagrass cover. The condition of seagrass density is classified as a dense seagrass density, with a dense condition of seagrass cover.The water quality condition of Tanjung Pisau waters still supports seagrass life.Keywords: Bintan, Density, Seagrass, Seagrass Cover

Abstract

Terumbu karang merupakan salah satu ekosistem di perairan tropis yang tergolong mudah terinfeksi penyakit karang terhadap tekanan atau perubahan lingkungan seperti pencemaran, suhu tinggi, sedimentasi, nutrien yang tinggi terutama nitrogen senyawa karbon, predator dan kompetisi dengan alga yang pertumbuhannya sangat cepat. Tujuan dari dilakukan penelitian adalah mengetahui persentase tutupan karang hidup, mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis penyakit karang dan menganalisis prevalensi karang yang terinfeksi penyakit karang di Perairan Pengudang, Pulau Bintan. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan November 2021 – Maret 2022, lokasi penelitian di Perairan Pengudang, Pulau Bintan. Pengambilan data tutupan karang menggunakan metode Point Intersept Transect (PIT) untuk jenis dan prevalensi penyakit karang metode transek sabuk (belt transect). Hasil penelitian persentase tutupan karang hidup (HC) sebesar 56%-75% berdasarkan KEPMEN LH nomor 4 tahun 2001 dalam kategori baik. Untuk penyakit karang yang ditemukan terdiri dari black band disease (BBD), brown band disease (BrB), dark spots disease (DSD), yellow band disease (YBD) dan white syndromes (WS) dari lima penyakit tersebut, persentase prevalensi penyakit karang sebersar 4,67%-9,07%, kemudian untuk kepadatan penyakit karang yang paling banyak ditemukan terdapat pada (St-2) sebesar 0,320 koloni/m2, kemudian diikuti (St-3) sebesar 0,300 koloni/m2 dan nilai terendah untuk kepadatan dari 3 stasiun terdapat pada (St-1) sebesar 0,220 koloni/m2. Coral reefs are one of the ecosystems in tropical waters that are classified as easily infected with coral diseases against environmental pressures or changes such as pollution, high temperatures, sedimentation, high nutrients, especially nitrogen carbon compounds, predators and competition with algae that grow very fast. The purpose of the research was to determine the percentage of live coral cover, identify the types of coral disease and analyze the prevalence of coral infected with coral disease in the waters of Pengudang, Bintan Island.. The research was conducted in November 2021 to March 2022, the research location is in the waters of Pengudang, Bintan Island. Coral cover data were collected using the Point Intercept Transect (PIT) method, for the type and prevalence of coral disease using the belt transect method. The results of the study showed that the percentage of live coral cover (HC) was 56%-75% based on KEPMEN LH number 4 of 2001 in the good category. For coral diseases found consisting of black band disease (BBD), brown band disease (BrB), dark spots disease (DSD), yellow band disease (YBD) and white syndromes (WS) of the five diseases, the percentage of coral disease prevalence is 4.67%-9.07%, then for the density of coral disease the most commonly found was at (St-2) of 0.320 colonies/m2, then followed by (St-3) of 0.300 colonies/m2 and the lowest value was for the density of the 3 stations was at (St-1) of 0.220 colonies/m2.
