Abstract

The classroom is the principal place in the implementation of teaching and learning activities. Classroom comfort indirectly affects the learning atmosphere and the comfort level of students in implementing teaching and learning activities. In its operational activities, classrooms have several supporting tools such as blackboards, projectors, air conditioners, chairs, and desks. These objects often experience problems such as minor damage, decreased function, to heavy damage. The existence of these obstacles can make teaching and learning activities less qualified in an academic classroom. Facilities and infrastructure to support quality teaching and learning activities require an inventory information system with quality control methods to ensure the classroom's quality of facilities is maintained. This research uses the Waterfall software development method and produces a web-based computerized system that can be used to monitor the quality of classroom facilities and follow-up. With this system, the quality of facilities and infrastructure in the classroom is maintained.

Abstract

The BUMDesa marketplace platform was developed to support the digitalization of village business processes, enhance local economic activities, and strengthen the role of BUMDesa in managing community-based enterprises. Although the platform has been utilized by several user categories, a comprehensive evaluation of its software quality has not yet been conducted. This study aims to assess the quality of the BUMDesa marketplace platform using the grey-box testing method integrated with the ISO/IEC 9126 standard. The grey-box testing approach was employed to examine both internal and external system behaviors across three platforms: the website, Android mobile application, and API. Quality evaluation was carried out based on five ISO/IEC 9126 aspects: functionality, reliability, efficiency, maintainability, and portability. The results show that the functionality aspect achieved a feasibility score of 73% (“Fair”), reliability reached 86% (“Good”), efficiency obtained 100% (“Very Good”), maintainability scored 62% (“Poor”), and portability achieved 100% (“Very Good”). These findings indicate that the platform meets quality standards in terms of reliability, efficiency, and portability, while improvements are still needed in functionality and maintainability. This study provides recommendations for enhancing software quality and may serve as a reference for evaluating similar digital platforms within village-owned enterprises.

Abstract

Universities increasingly recognize that employability and civic competencies are formed not only through formal coursework but also through co-curricular and extracurricular engagement. In many campuses, however, activity reporting remains fragmented, highly manual, and submitted late, which results in verification bottlenecks and incomplete student records. This study develops a web-based Student Activity Transcript (SAT) application to support end-to-end submission, verification, and accumulation of student activity points. A gamification approach is embedded to reduce reporting friction and sustain participation. The design follows the Mechanics–Dynamics–Aesthetics (MDA) framework so that each game element is justified from rules to run-time interaction patterns and the intended user experience. The system is implemented using a PHP web framework and a relational database, and it integrates role-based workflows for students, academic advisers, and student affairs administrators. Functional validation is performed through specification-based (black-box) testing to confirm that critical workflows—registration, login, activity submission, verification, and transcript generation—operate as intended. The resulting artifact demonstrates a reusable pattern for universities that need to digitize activity transcripts while ensuring that gamification is applied in a structured, theory-informed manner. This work contributes to TAK governance workflow that preserves institusional verification while adding engagement loops, and an implementation and test blueprint that can be adapted to other campuses adopting transcript or digital badge recognition system.

Abstract

The rapid development of communication and information technology has encouraged the adoption of the Internet of Things (IoT) in the agricultural sector, particularly in livestock management. This study presents the development of an interactive mobile IoT application for monitoring the growth of Etawa Crossbreed (PE) goats in rural communal farms. The proposed system integrates a load cell–based digital weighing scale with an IoT module to automatically record livestock weight data and store it in cloud storage, which can be accessed through a mobile application. The application also supports the recording of feed and health history to enable structured growth monitoring. The system was deployed and tested in a communal farm environment involving 20 rural farmers, where the IoT scale measured livestock weight and transmitted data wirelessly to the mobile application. A design thinking approach was employed to ensure usability and suitability for rural users. The usability evaluation using the System Usability Scale (SUS) produced an average score of 83.5, classified as excellent (Grade B), indicating high user acceptance. In addition, technical performance evaluation showed that all 20 monitoring records were successfully transmitted, resulting in a transmission success rate of 100%, with complete and consistent data storage achieving 100% data integrity. Observational latency results indicated that RFID reading required an average of 2.5 seconds, while the weighing and data synchronization process took an average of 7.5 seconds before appearing in the mobile application. These results demonstrate that the proposed system is not only user-friendly but also reliable and capable of supporting near real-time livestock monitoring in communal farming environments.

Abstract

The Nagaraja Sea Turtle Conservation Group at Sodong Beach, Cilacap Regency, has long carried out nest patrol, egg evacuation, semi-natural incubation, and hatchling release activities independently, yet all conservation records have been documented manually using notebooks, which are prone to loss, damage, and delayed reporting. This community service program aimed to strengthen the group’s data management capacity through the development of a web-based information system for habitat monitoring and nest data collection, using a participatory approach consisting of needs assessment, system development, training, and mentoring stages. The resulting system, named Rescue Portal, consists of an internal admin dashboard for conservation managers and a public hub page accessible at penyunagaraja.org, providing real-time tide and marine weather monitoring through third-party API integration, a risk-scored analytical report for each nest finding, an activity logbook with a verification workflow, and public branding and news management features. Training and mentoring activities enabled 10 group members to independently operate the system as part of their daily patrol routine. A post-program partner satisfaction survey (n = 10) covering material relevance, schedule adequacy, clarity of delivery, committee service, and program continuity recorded a 90% overall agreement rate (agree/strongly agree), with a mean satisfaction score of 4.44 out of 5. By replacing manual recording with a centralized digital system, the program improved the accuracy and speed of conservation reporting, strengthened the group’s institutional capacity, and is expected to support the long-term sustainability of community-based sea turtle conservation along the southern coast of Central Java.

Abstract

SD Unggulan Muslimat NU Purbalingga had previously implemented a web-based administrative management system that enhanced the efficiency of data management and school administrative services. However, the school's Guidance and Counseling (BK) services were still conducted manually, resulting in unsystematic documentation, limited monitoring of student progress, and a lack of integration with the existing system. This community service initiative aimed to develop and implement an integrated web-based counseling application to optimize BK services at the elementary school level. The methodology followed the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) stages, comprising requirements analysis, system design, application development, implementation and training, testing via Likert-scale questionnaires, and monitoring and mentoring. The resulting application integrates with the existing school management system and offers features such as structured counseling history recording, dashboard-based student progress monitoring, issue categorization and follow-up tracking, automated report generation, and tiered access rights for counselors, homeroom teachers, and the school principal. The training and mentoring enabled counselors and homeroom teachers to operate the system independently during their daily service routines. Based on questionnaire results from 10 respondents, the community service activity received a highly positive response from all participants. Out of 50 total responses, no respondents selected the "Strongly Disagree," "Disagree," or "Neutral" categories; instead, 84% of responses fell into the "Agree" category and 16% into the "Strongly Agree" category. These results indicate a 100% participant acceptance and satisfaction rate regarding the activity's implementation.
