Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui bagaimana kontribusi dari mata pelajaran geografi dalam rangka meningkatkan semangat bela negara pada siswa SMA di Provinsi Aceh.  Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam artikel ini yaitu deskriptif kualitatif, dan studi literatur (studi kepustakaan) dari berbagai sumber seperti buku, jurnal, peraturan perundang-undangan dan surat kabar berupa media cetak/media online)  yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini. Terakhir, teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode delphi. Adapun hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini yaitu: semangat bela negara merupakan program yang sedang gencarnya digalakkan oleh pemerintah dewasa ini, bela negara dapat dilakukan oleh seluruh masyarakat sesuai dengan kategori dan usianya masing-masing. Sebagai contoh melalui pembelajaran di SMA, salah satunya pada MAPEL Geografi terdapat pembahasan tentang materi yang dapat menggugah minat siswa untuk menjaga/membela keutuhan negara. Sehingga peran guru geografi sangat strategis dalam meningkatkan semangat bela negara, dan diharapkan pula kesadaran siswa melalui proses internalisasi dikategorikan berhasil, serta berdampak positif terhadap keutuhan Negara Indonesia. Terakhir, diharapkan agar pemerintah dapat menjadikan geografi sebagai mata pelajaran wajib untuk peserta didik di Indonesia, hal ini dikarenakan MAPEL Geografi sangat strategis dalam meningkatkan semangat bela negara pada siswa SMA.

Abstract

The aims of this research were (1) to describe the implementation of the Students Centered Learning (SCL) approach and the study method of material on the theme of regional natural resources analysis in the Geography of Natural Resources course, and (2) to find the implications of the SCL approach to learning achievement. The research method was a quasi-experimental with posttest only controls group design. The class as the samples determine by purposive sampling which distinguished of the experimental class and the control. The collected data were analyzed by t-test, after the data were normally distributed and homogeneous variety. The results of this study describe that the implementation of the SCL approach is obtain in 4 (four) syntax: brainstorming, grouping & exploring, do projects, and seminars, with the study method is structured tabulation analysis by explaining classification, and "Pre", "In", and "Post" on the utilization of natural resources per district in Aceh. The SCL approach has significant implications for student learning achievement in particularly of Regional SDA Analysis in the Geography of Natural Resources course, with average grade of 77.9, better than the method applied previously, 72.5.

Abstract

Teachers have an important role in shaping the character of students. So the purpose of this study is to (1) determine the role of teachers in building character, (2) determine the level of environmental care for students. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. The entire research population was 25 teachers and 267 students in grades VII-IX. Sampling with random sampling technique. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires to respondents. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistical percentage formula. The results of data processing obtained: from 25 teachers, it is known that 2 respondents (8%) in very high category, 6 respondents (24%) in high category, 12 respondents (48%) in medium category, 1 respondent (4%) in low category, and 4 respondents (16%) are very low, so that the teacher's role in the formation of environmental character is the largest in the category. (2) Of the 50 students, 6 respondents (12%) were in the very high category, 7 respondents (14%) were in the high category, 22 respondents (44%) were in the medium category, 12 respondents (24%) were in the low category, and 3 respondents (6%) ) ) category is very low, so that the main environmental care level is in the medium category.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the oral tradition of internalizing smong wisdom, recognized as successful in saving the people of Simeulue, Aceh, Indonesia, during the 2004 tsunami disaster. It employs a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews with 30 informants comprising traditional leaders and community members knowledgeable about smong local wisdom. Data analysis utilizes thematic analysis. The research findings reveal that the ancestors of the Simeulue people internalized smong local wisdom through oral culture, which held significant literary value since 1907. The internalization of smong wisdom is evident through its transmission across generations, reflected in the community's smong narrative during disasters and using mananga-nanga, manafi-nafi, and nandong as educational tools. Based on insights from the informants, including traditional leaders and community members, they affirmed the widespread practice and knowledge of smong wisdom across all age groups in Simeulue. They utilize mananga-nanga (lullabies) for infants under five years old, manafi-nafi (folktales) for the general public, and nandong (songs) at specific events of special conditions. The informants of this study believe that instilling the values of local wisdom from an early age fosters collective memory, which can be easily recalled and applied by future generations. This facilitates the efficient transfer of local wisdom values in line with the ancestors’ expectations. Internally, within local communities, internalization occurs traditionally through oral culture.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the knowledge level of Generation Z regarding the local wisdom of the Aceh community in disaster mitigation. A descriptive quantitative method was used, with students from Syiah Kuala University representing Generation Z as the sample. Data were collected using a true/false test administered to the students. The data were then analyzed using statistical formulas, with knowledge levels classified into high, medium, and low categories. The results showed that, for each aspect of Acehs local wisdom in disaster mitigation, the students' knowledge level was below 20% (58 respondents). Out of a total of 288 respondents, only 17% (49 students) exhibited a high level of knowledge, 19% (55 students) a low level, and 64% (184 students) a medium level regarding the local wisdom of the Aceh community for disaster mitigation. In conclusion, the study suggests that Aceh's local wisdom for disaster mitigation may be at risk of fading among future generations. Thus, there is a need for serious efforts from both the government and the Aceh community to socialize and internalize this local wisdom among the younger generation.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan generasi Z kaway XVI terhadap kearifan lokal yang berasal dari lembaga adat keujreun blang. Metode kuantitatif deskriptif yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, Masyarakat Kecamatan Kaway XIV yang menjadi populasi sedangkan yang menjadi sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu 100 orang generasi Z Kecamatan Kaway XVI. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara dan angket benar-salah yang diberikan kepada Generasi Z ketika penelitian, teknik analisis data menggunakan rumus statistika sederhana . Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 16 % (16 orang) mengetahui kearifan lokal yang berasal dari lembaga adat keujreun blang, di sisi lain 84% (84 orang) tidak mengetahui kearifan lokal yang berasal dari lembaga adat keujreun blang. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan yaitu kearifan lokal masyarakat Aceh yang berasal dari lembaga adat keujreun blang berpotensi hilang di masa yang akan datang khususnya pada masyarakat Kecamatan Kaway XVI Kabupaten Aceh Barat. Sehingga dibutuhkan upaya serius dari pemerintah Kabupaten Aceh Barat dan masyarakat Kecamatan Kaway XVI untuk mengsosialisasikan dan menginternalisasikan kembali kearifan lokal yang berasal dari lembaga adat keujreun blang kepada generasi muda Kecamatan Kaway XVI Kabupaten Aceh Barat.

Abstract

Model pembelajaran ASSURE adalah langkah sistematis dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran di ruang kelas dengan memadukan penggunaan teknologi dan media pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran ASSURE berbantuan media Quizwhizzer terhadap hasil belajar geografi siswa  SMA Negeri 12 Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian Qurasi Experiment (Eksperimen Semu) dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 12 Banda Aceh yang berjumlah 154 siswa dengan pengambilan sampel dua kelas (kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol) melalui teknik purposive sampling dari lima kelas yang tersedia. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu kelas X IPAS 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X IPAS 3 sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tes dan dokumentasi. Kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, homogenitas dan uji hipotesis. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat dikemukakan bahwa hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh nilai thitung = 1,71 > ttabel = 1,610 yang berati Ha terima yang berarti dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa menggunakan model ASSURE berbantuan media Quizwhizzer lebih baik dibandingkan hasil belajar siswa tanpa menggunakan model ASSURE berbantuan media Quizwhizzer pada mata Pelajaran geografi di kelas X SMA Negeri 12 Banda Aceh.

Abstract

Problems related to the lack of public understanding about how to process organic waste into something useful and highly useful are problems faced by the general public in environmental conservation. This community service aims to educate waste management and ecoenzyme making training targeting students in schools. and make direct practice on how to process it correctly. Community service is carried out at SMPN 1 Batussalam. Participants in this training activity are all students. The forms of community service activities are socialization, waste management education and ecoenzyme making training. The results of the Ecoenzyme community service are natural liquids resulting from the fermentation of organic waste such as sugar or molasses, fruit or vegetable waste, and water (AC waste, rainwater, tap water) which can be used in many ways and become goods that have high utility value. The manufacturing process takes 3 months with materials from organic waste residue. The equipment needed such as containers, teleman knives and duct tape. Community service suggestions are to provide more intensive socialization to the community about the use of waste so that it has economic value

Abstract

The mangrove ecosystem plays a vital role in maintaining coastal environmental balance and supporting the socio-economic life of local communities. However, mangrove degradation due to illegal logging, land conversion, and global climate change remains a serious issue in Indonesia. This community service aimed to describe the benefits of mangroves and the implementation of conservation activities through mangrove education and planting in Peukan Bada, Aceh Besar. The method used was descriptive qualitative with literature study and field observation, involving students and lecturers of Geography Education FKIP Syiah Kuala University and local community members. The results showed that education and mangrove planting increased participants’ understanding of the ecological and economic functions of mangroves, fostered environmental awareness, and supported the restoration of degraded coastal ecosystems. This activity also built collaboration between universities and local communities in achieving sustainable mangrove conservation.

Abstract

Rendahnya minat belajar dan kemampuan siswa SMA Negeri 11 Banda Aceh dalam menguasai pelajaran sehingga menyebabkan rendahnya hasil belajar. Salah satu solusi yang ditawarkan adalah dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran ekspositori Berbantuan aplikasi quiziz. Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui bagaimanakah pengaruh strategi pembelajaran ekspositori berbantuan aplikasi quiziz terhadap hasil belajar geografi siswa SMA Negeri 11 Banda Aceh. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian quasi eksperimental design. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI, dengan sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IS 1 berjumlah 36 peserta didik sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IS 2 berjumlah 32 peserta didik sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes, yang meliputi (1) uji validitas, (2) uji reliabilitas. Peneliti memberi tes sebanyak dua kali yaitu tes awal (pre-test) dan tes akhir (post-test). Teknik Analisis Data penelitian ini adalah (1) uji normalitas (2) uji homogenitas (3) uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t diperoleh nilai thitung = 2,67, sedangkan nilai ttabel pada taraf signifikansi 5% dengan derajat kebebasan (dk) = 78 adalah 1,66. Karena thitung (2,67) ttabel (1,66), maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa hipotesis nol (H0) ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima. Sehingga dapat diterjemahkan terdapat pengaruh yang sangat signifikan dari penggunaan strategi pembelajaran ekspositori berbantuan aplikasi quizizz terhadap hasil belajar geografi siswa, dibuktikan dari peningkatan nilai rata-rata siswa yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan metode pembelajaran konvensional.
