Abstract

This research aims to find the meaning of love contained in the poem ‘Alaisal Hubb’ by Jalaludin Rumi with a semantic approach. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method with the basis of the main document, namely the poem Alaisal Hubb. The data of this research is qualitative data in the form of facts, information, stanzas and images obtained by researchers from research sources, namely the poem Alaisal Hubb by Jalaludin Rumi. The data collection technique uses semantic and pragmatic approaches, namely by analysing how meaning is influenced by communicative context, including implicature or hidden meaning, and pragmatics in a research object, so as to obtain a complete concept to understand the meaning of love in depth in the object of research. The result of this study is that the meaning of love which has only been interpreted as a universal expression of feelings, but after a deeper study of love in the poem is not only the meaning of love between humans but the meaning of love itself is a union with God or a spiritual lover who transcends physical and material boundaries. As well as to reach a higher spiritual dimension and connect humans with their creator. With the use of implied language by the narrator, it also creates a deep meaning or message that the narrator wants to convey through literary works.   يهدف هذا البحث إلى الكشف عن معنى الحب الكامن في قصيدة أليس الحب لجلال الدين الرومي من خلال المنهج الدلالي. والمنهج المتَّبع في هذا البحث هو المنهج الوصفي النوعي، بالاعتماد على الوثيقة الأساسية وهي قصيدة أليس الحب. أما بيانات هذا البحث فهي بيانات نوعية تتمثل في الحقائق والمعلومات والأبيات والصور التي حصل عليها الباحث من مصادر البحث، وهي قصيدة أليس الحب لجلال الدين الرومي. وتتم عملية جمع البيانات باستخدام المنهج الدلالي والبراغماتي، وذلك من خلال تحليل كيفية تأثر المعنى بالسياق الاتصالي، بما في ذلك التضمين أو المعنى الخفي، والجوانب البراغماتية في موضوع البحث، حتى يتم التوصل إلى مفهوم متكامل لفهم معنى الحب بعمق في موضوع البحث. وتوصلت نتائج البحث إلى أن معنى الحب الذي كان يُفهم في السابق على أنه مجرد تعبير عن شعور إنساني عالمي، بعد الدراسة المتعمقة في القصيدة، تبيَّن أنه لا يقتصر على الحب بين البشر، بل إن معنى الحب ذاته هو الاتحاد بالله أو المحبوب الروحي الذي يتجاوز الحدود الجسدية والمادية. كما أن هذا الحب يهدف إلى الوصول إلى بُعد روحي أسمى وربط الإنسان بخالقه. واستخدام الشاعر للغة الموحية أضفى أيضًا معنى ورسالة عميقة أراد إيصالها من خلال العمل الأدبي.   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan makna cinta yang terkandung dalam puisi Alaisal Hubb karya Jalaludin Rumi dengan pendekatan semantik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan dasar dokumen utama, yaitu puisi Alaisal Hubb. Data penelitian ini berupa data kualitatif dalam bentuk fakta, informasi, bait, dan citra yang diperoleh peneliti dari sumber penelitian, yaitu puisi Alaisal Hubb karya Jalaludin Rumi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan pendekatan semantik dan pragmatik, yaitu dengan menganalisis bagaimana makna dipengaruhi oleh konteks komunikatif, termasuk implikatur atau makna tersembunyi, serta aspek pragmatik pada objek penelitian, sehingga diperoleh konsep yang utuh untuk memahami makna cinta secara mendalam pada objek penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa makna cinta yang selama ini hanya dipahami sebagai ungkapan perasaan universal, setelah dikaji lebih dalam melalui puisi ini, ternyata tidak hanya dimaknai sebagai cinta antarmanusia, tetapi cinta itu sendiri merupakan penyatuan dengan Tuhan atau kekasih spiritual yang melampaui batas fisik dan materi. Cinta tersebut mengantarkan manusia pada dimensi spiritual yang lebih tinggi dan menghubungkan manusia dengan Sang Pencipta. Penggunaan bahasa tersirat oleh penyair juga menciptakan makna atau pesan mendalam yang ingin disampaikan melalui karya sastra.

Abstract

This study examines the rhetorical aspects of the poem "Safir Tājid 'Iwaḍon 'Amman Tufāriquhu" by Imam Syafi'i to understand the spirit of seeking knowledge in Islamic tradition. Employing rhetorical and hermeneutic analysis, the methodology used is qualitative-descriptive with content analysis techniques  . The findings reveal three main points: (1) the use of beautiful, layered language and various rhetorical techniques such as metaphor and personification to emphasize the importance of knowledge; (2) profound philosophical meanings where the pursuit of knowledge is viewed as a spiritual and moral journey that every individual must undertake; and (3) the poem's relevance in modern times, encouraging younger generations to appreciate the learning process and strive for knowledge. These findings have implications for developing more holistic and transformative educational programs. Despite challenges such as resource limitations and the complexity of adapting classical concepts, this research makes a significant contribution to theoretical frameworks for academic exchange programs and learning models integrating physical mobility with digital platforms.   تتناول هذه الدراسة الجوانب البلاغية في قصيدة «سافر تجد عِوَضًا عمَّن تُفارِقُه» للإمام الشافعي لفهم روح طلب العلم في التقليد الإسلامي. ومن خلال استخدام التحليل البلاغي والتأويل (الهرمنيوطيقي)، اعتمدت المنهجية النوعية الوصفية بأسلوب تحليل المحتوى. وقد كشفت النتائج عن ثلاثة محاور رئيسية: (1) استعمال لغة جميلة ومتعددة الطبقات، وتوظيف أساليب بلاغية متنوعة مثل الاستعارة والتشخيص لتأكيد أهمية العلم؛ (2) معانٍ فلسفية عميقة، حيث يُنظر إلى طلب العلم بوصفه رحلة روحية وأخلاقية ينبغي لكل فرد أن يخوضها؛ و(3) صلة القصيدة بالواقع المعاصر، إذ تحث الأجيال الشابة على تقدير عملية التعلم والسعي الجاد لاكتساب المعرفة. ولتلك النتائج آثار على تطوير برامج تعليمية أكثر شمولية وتحويلية. ورغم وجود تحديات مثل محدودية الموارد وصعوبة تكييف المفاهيم التراثية، فإن هذه الدراسة تُسهم إسهامًا مهمًّا في إثراء الأطر النظرية لبرامج التبادل الأكاديمي ونماذج التعليم التي تدمج بين التنقّل الميداني والمنصات الرقمية.   Penelitian ini mengkaji aspek retorika dalam puisi "Safir Tājid ‘Iwaḍon ‘Amman Tufāriquhu" karya Imam Syafi’i untuk memahami semangat menuntut ilmu dalam tradisi Islam. Dengan menggunakan analisis retorika dan hermeneutik, metodologi yang diterapkan adalah kualitatif-deskriptif dengan teknik analisis isi. Temuan penelitian ini mengungkapkan tiga poin utama: (1) penggunaan bahasa yang indah, berlapis, dan berbagai teknik retorika seperti metafora dan personifikasi untuk menegaskan pentingnya ilmu; (2) makna filosofis yang mendalam, di mana pencarian ilmu dipandang sebagai perjalanan spiritual dan moral yang harus ditempuh setiap individu; dan (3) relevansi puisi ini pada masa modern, yang mendorong generasi muda untuk menghargai proses belajar dan berjuang meraih ilmu. Temuan ini memiliki implikasi bagi pengembangan program pendidikan yang lebih holistik dan transformatif. Meskipun terdapat tantangan seperti keterbatasan sumber daya dan kompleksitas dalam mengadaptasi konsep-konsep klasik, penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap kerangka teori untuk program pertukaran akademik dan model pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan mobilitas fisik dengan platform digital.

Abstract

The current study examines the ideology constructed by Al-Jazeera and CNN Arabic media on the issue of Indonesia's rejection of Israel at the U-20 World Cup 2023. The purpose of this research is to provide critical information and facts so that people can filter the news of Israel's rejection in Indonesia wisely. This research data is linguistic units in the Arabic mass media Al-Jazeera and CNN Arabic on March 30, 2023. Data was collected using the listening method, followed by tapping and recording techniques. The data were analyzed using the Padan method, which refers to Theo Van Leeuwen's critical discourse analysis (CDA). The results showed that Al-Jazeera media, through exclusion and inclusion, constructed public ideology not to justify Indonesia with negative representations. It was influenced by the ideology of Al-Jazeera's affiliate, Qatar, which has historically been religious and politically opposed to Israel. CNN Arabic strategizes language to construct public ideology through inclusion so that Indonesia is seen as a perpetrator of the rejection of Israel in a hostile, unprofessional, and anti-national manner. This was influenced because CNN Arabic is affiliated with America, which is a close friend of Israel in mutual economic and political relations.

Abstract

This research discusses the study of meaning in linguistics including connotation and denotation meaning. The purpose of this research is to reveal the connotative meaning in the poem "Hamzah". The poem "Hamzah" tells about the memory of the Palestinian people's past of the Israeli occupation. This research is an interpretative descriptive research to examine the meaning in depth. Primary data is obtained from poems that contain connotative meanings. Gorys Keraf's semantics is the theory used by the author to dissect the layered meanings. The results in this study reveal that the connotation meaning expressed by the author is a motivation. The meaning has complex layers includes pain, bad memories and the spirit of Fadwa's struggle as a Palestinian. There are eight stanzas that contain connotational meaning. The stanzas contain: pain in stanza eighth, worry in stanza eleventh, lamentation in stanzas twelfth and forty fourth, praise in stanza thirteenth, and encouragement in stanza thirty seventh. Meanwhile, the connotation meaning in the poem is attached to the whole stanza of the poem in addition to the connotation words. The words are intended as motivation and a form of resistance from the Israeli occupation.

Abstract

Developing learning models that are in line with technological advances can build student values and character through the integration of Al-Quran values. One of the surahs in the Al-Quran is surah Al Ma'un, which is strong in instilling social attitudes or concern for the social environment and is the main basis for the Muhammadiyah movement. This research aims to produce a science learning model using a STEM approach containing Al Ma'un and determine the effectiveness of the STEM approach with Al Ma'un as a learning model in improving students' scientific attitudes and social awareness in Muhammadiyah schools. This research is a development research using the Plomp model. The research is conducted at 3 Muhammadiyah Middle Schools in Purworejo Regency. The feasibility of the learning model is carried out by expert validation in terms of syntax, social system, reaction principle, support system, and instructional impact. To test the effectiveness, it uses data on the percentage of pre- and post-observation results. The research results show that the learning model using the STEM approach containing Al Ma'un is valid and suitable for use. The effectiveness of the learning model is also high, based on the percentage increase in students' social awareness and scientific attitudes. This learning model can become an excellent learning model for Muhammadiyah schools. Apart from that, it can also be applied to Islamic schools in general for character development in aspects of social attitudes and social environment.
