Abstract

The problems that occur in the Massumpuloloe Women's Farmers Group are (1) Limited access to efficient technology for managing waste and processing food into ready-to-sell products; (2) Lack of understanding of methods for processing domestic waste into other products that can be used in agriculture; (3) Food diversification skills, namely limited knowledge about food diversification and how to process food ingredients into innovative agro-industrial products. The aim of implementing the activity is to increase public knowledge about the importance of managing domestic waste and the benefits of food diversification, as well as implementing sustainable practices that can be applied in everyday life. The method used is the counseling and training method for making (1) fish bone cookies; (2) banana flower fish floss.  The partners involved in this activity are the Massumpuloloe Farming Women's Group. The activity will be implemented on July 5 2024. The results of this activity are an increase in knowledge which can be seen from the community's activeness in the activity, as well as the number of people who take part in the activity. A follow-up plan that can be carried out is to coordinate with the village/sub-district and local government so that this activity can be carried out regularly so that access to women farmer group services for the entire community can be implemented. The conclusion is that the implementation of the activity went smoothly and the participants were very enthusiastic in taking part in the activity.

Abstract

This community service program was conducted at Muhammadiyah High School to develop student creativity through waste-based culinary innovations, as a solution to students' limited understanding of organic waste utilisation and the lack of entrepreneurial activities within the school environment. The partners faced several challenges, including low awareness of the importance of recycling and a lack of practical skills in creating marketable products. This activity was implemented through participatory training methods, interactive discussions, and hands-on practice in processing household organic waste—such as fruit peels and vegetable scraps—into innovative culinary products, such as carrot peel dim sum, dragon fruit peel ice cream, and banana peel soy sauce. Throughout the process, students were actively involved, from planning, production, and packaging, with simple entrepreneurship materials provided. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in students' knowledge of waste management and entrepreneurial skills, marked by high enthusiasm, the creation of several creative culinary products, and students' plans to sell their products at the school bazaar. In conclusion, this program successfully fostered environmental awareness and an entrepreneurial spirit among students through a creative and applicable approach relevant to their daily lives.

Abstract

Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang menjadi salah satu daerah penghasil padi terbesar di Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Hasil tersebut diperlukan proses pengolahan dan pendistribusian yang baik hingga ke tangan konsumen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pola saluran distribusi guna mendukung rantai pasok beras di Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan teknik snowball sampling. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan metode wawancara mendalam Penelitian diharapakan mampu memberikan informasi terkait aliran rantai pasok dalam Perusahaan serta informasi terkait efisiensi saluran distribusi dan biaya dalam distribusi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola distribusi beras yang terjadi di Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang studi kasus CV. Rahma 35 terdiri dari 2 saluran distribusi. Saluran pertama petani ® pedagang pengumpul/mitra ® industri CV. Rahma 35 ® konsumen luar provinsi. Untuk saluran kedua petani ® pedagang pengumpul/mitra ® industri CV. Rahma 35 ® pedagang pengecer ® konsumen. Pola saluran distribusi ini didukung dengan aliran rantai pasok yang ada di Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang, dapat dilihat bahwa masing-masing aliran yang ada berjalan dengan baik sesuai dengan teori rantai pasok. Mulai dari aliran produk yang berjalan satu arah dari produsen ke konsumen. Kemudian aliran keuangan yang juga mengalir satu arah dari konsumen ke produsen. Serta aliran informasi yang mengalir dua arah antara produsen dan konsumen agar mempererat hubungan kepercayaan diantara keduanya. Sidenreng Rappang Regency is one of the largest rice producing areas in South Sulawesi Province. With these results, a good processing and distribution process is needed into the hands of consumers. The method used in this research is qualitative method. The sampling technique in this research was carried out using the snowball sampling technique. The data analysis technique was carried out using the in-depth interview method. The research is expected to be able to provide information regarding supply chain flows within the Company as well as information regarding the efficiency of distribution channels and costs in distribution. The results of the research show that the rice distribution pattern that occurs in the Sidenreng Rappang Regency, the CV case study. Rahma 35 consists of 2 distribution channels. The first channel is farmers ® traders/partners ® CV industry. Rahma 35 ® consumers outside the province. For the second channel, farmers ® traders/partners ® CV industry. Rahma 35 ® retailers ® consumers. This distribution channel pattern is supported by the supply chain flow in Sidenreng Rappang Regency. It can be seen that each existing flow is running well in accordance with supply chain theory. Starting from the flow of products that goes in one direction from producer to consumer. Then financial flows also flow in one direction from consumers to producers. As well as a two-way flow of information between producers and consumers to strengthen the relationship of trust between the two.

Abstract

Salah satu bagian terpenting dalam menjalankan peternakan ayam petelur adalah menghitung biaya produksi. Segala biaya yang diperlukan selama proses produksi untuk menghasilkan telur yang siap untuk dijual termasuk dalam harga pokok produksi. Biaya pakan, pemeliharaan kandang, tenaga kerja, kesehatan hewan, dan penyusutan alat produksi merupakan faktor utama yang mempengaruhi biaya produksi pada peternakan ayam petelur. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui biaya produksi yang berhubungan dengan usaha peternakan ayam petelur PT Cahaya Tiga Putri. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dan kuantitatif, dan dilakukan di PT Cahaya Tiga Putri. Gaji karyawan, biaya produksi telur, dan biaya pendukung seperti air dan energi merupakan beberapa contoh pengeluaran yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini. Dengan menggunakan metode Whole Costing, teknik analisis data digunakan untuk menentukan harga pokok produksi. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian, biaya produksi per butir telur PT Cahaya Tiga Putri mencapai Rp952. Oleh karena itu, jika perusahaan ini tidak mematuhi harga pasar per butir telur yakni Rp1.834 maka bisa meraup untung besar. Petani dapat menggunakan temuan analisis ini sebagai panduan untuk menilai biaya produksi dan membuat keputusan yang lebih tepat mengenai kapan harus menjual untuk memaksimalkan pendapatan.

Abstract

This paper is aimed to examine how the influence of e-commerce use on the income of cayenne pepper farmers, but it is related to the price fluctuation of cayenne pepper. The price fluctuation of raw chilli here acts as an intermediate variable so that this research will be analyzed using Path Analysis. This research uses a quantitative design with a case study research technique. This research was conducted in Ongkoe Village, to be precise in the Machero neighborhood, Belawa District, Wajo Regency, South Sulawesi. The results of path analysis illustrate that indirectly the use of e-commerce through fluctuations in chili prices has a significant effect on increasing farmers' income. Even though it is of small value, it is hoped that farmers can find and take advantage of existing e-commerce in carrying out their daily activities. It is hoped that farmers can find and utilize e-commerce in order to bypass long marketing channels so that consumers do not get higher prices and farmers can sell their crops at a satisfactory price.

Abstract

Duck bone waste which is a domestic waste in Sidenreng Rappang Regency has not been utilized and there is no handler which is feared will pollute the environment. So it is necessary to use it by making it economically valuable by making duck bone flour. The purpose of this study was to analyze the feasibility of investing in duck bone waste (Duck Bone Flour). The method used is a saturated sample where all of the population is a sample because the number of samples is limited. Methods of data analysis using financial analysis. The analytical tool used for the financial aspect uses analysis of the Payback Period (PP), Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Profitability Index (PI), to determine whether a business is feasible or not. The results showed that the Duckbone Flour Business, from a financial point of view, with a project duration of 10 years and a discount rate of 10%, it proved feasible. An analysis of admission criteria found a payback period (PP) of 6 months and 1 week. Net Present Value (NPV) is IDR 1,730,085,150, Profitability Index (PI) is 1.63% and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) is 32%. This research is important to be carried out as a source of information for the community and the government about the economic value of duck bone waste.

Abstract

Background: The use of maggot as feed in fish farming has been developed by the Pokdakan Anugrah Desa Maddenra as a solution to the high cost of commercial / manufactured fish feed. However, the problem is that the maggot production produced by Pokdakan Anugrah has not been maximized because many maggots are preyed upon by natural predators such as rats, hornbill ants and poultry. So it has not been able to meet the food needs of farmed fish. This community service activity aims to increase the production of partner group maggot cultivation as an alternative feed for fish. Method: This service activity was attended by 40 participants consisting of Partner Groups (Pokdakan Anugrah), youth and the community of Maddenra Village who have fishery businesses and UMS Rappang students. The methods carried out in this activity are through socialization/counseling, plot demonstration, mentoring and evaluation. Result: The community service team of the University of Muhammadiyah Sidenreng Rappang provides alternatives and solutions to overcome problems based on media problems, cultivation containers and predators as the main enemies of maggots with an approach to pest protection cage design. This design approach is carried out to utilize minimal space but increase the number of cultivation container media vertically and pay attention to designs that can protect the cultivation from pests. Conclusion: This community service activity is very helpful for partner groups in increasing maggot production so that it can be used as an alternative feed for farmed fish.
