Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of financial technology use and financial literacy levels in shaping the financial management of students in the Management Study Program of the 2022 Panca Budi Development University, Medan. The study used a quantitative approach by collecting data from 80 randomly selected respondents. Data were obtained through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The analysis results showed that financial technology use did not have a significant impact on student financial management, as reflected by a significance value of 0.118. Conversely, financial literacy was shown to have a significant impact on financial management with a significance value of 0.000. Simultaneous testing showed that financial technology and financial literacy jointly contributed to student financial management with a coefficient of determination of 0.443, meaning that 44.3 percent of the variation in financial management can be explained by these two variables. This finding confirms that the ability to understand and manage finances plays a more dominant role than technological convenience in shaping students' financial management behavior.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of liquidity, profitability, and solvency on financial performance in the Autonomous Agent of Indah Logistics Cargo Pajak Melati. The research uses a quantitative approach with a causal research type, using secondary data in the form of corporate financial statements for the 2020–2024 period. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling, with multiple linear regression analysis method using SPSS version 22. The results showed that the liquidity proxied with the Quick Ratio could not be further analyzed because it experienced high multicollinearity (Tolerance 0.011; VIF 87,266). Profitability proxied by Return on Equity has a regression coefficient of –0.568 with a significance value of 0.167 (> 0.05), so it has no significant effect on financial performance. Meanwhile, solvency proxied by the Debt to Equity Ratio has a regression coefficient of 0.149 with a significance value of 0.013 (< 0.05), which shows a positive and significant influence on financial performance. Simultaneously, profitability and solvency had a significant effect on financial performance with an F value of 37.352 and a significance of 0.026 (< 0.05), and an Adjusted R Square value of 0.948. The conclusion of the study shows that the stability of the company's financial structure, especially from the aspect of solvency, has a more dominant role in supporting the improvement of financial performance than profitability.

The independent variables studied are e-commerce (X1) and product innovation (X2), while the dependent variable is the financial performance of MSMEs (Y) which is measured through the dimensions of liquidity, solvency, and profitability. Data analysis used multiple linear regression with SPSS version 26. This study is expected to provide practical recommendations on how MSMEs in Binjai City can optimally utilize e-commerce and product innovation to increase competitiveness, expand markets, and ultimately achieve better and more sustainable financial performance. The research findings are expected to serve as a reference for relevant stakeholders in developing policies and programs that support MSME development in Binjai City.

The type of research used is quantitative research with a conclusive approach that aims to obtain conclusions based on the objectives and research problems. The population in this study were students of SMA N 1 Sunggal with a sample of 50 respondents found through a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected using an online questionnaire compiled with a Likert scale. The data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression analysis to determine the effect of independent variables on the dependent variable. The results showed that the instruments used met the requirements of validity and reliability. In addition, the classical assumption test showed that the data were normally distributed with a significance value of 0.200 in the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. The research findings indicate that a hedonistic lifestyle and financial self-efficacy simultaneously influence students' financial literacy levels. Strong financial self-efficacy helps students manage their finances better, while a hedonistic lifestyle is a factor that needs to be watched out for because of the tendency to prioritize pleasure.
