Abstract Factors that Affect to Demand of Salak Bali Fruit (Salacca Zalacca var. ambonensi)by Householdin Denpasar City,Bali Province This study aims to know factors that affectdemand quantity ofSalak Bali fruit and magnitude the elasticity of Salak Bali fruit’s demand in Denpasar City. Location of study was atBadung Market, Kreneng Market, Sanglah Market, and Satrya Market thathas been determinated purposively. Populationswas houshold which bought Salak Bali fruit attraditional markets. This study used accidental samplingtechnique. There were 40 samples which has been determined purposively. This study used thetransformed multiple regressionfunctionmodel. Independent variables are X1 (price of Salak Bali fruit), X2(price of orange), X3(price of apple), X4 (price of mango), X5 (quantity of household members), X6 (income of household), and dummy (there are religious celebrations/there aren’t any religious celebrations). The function model is LNY = 2,65 - 1,126 LNX1** - 1,360 LNX2** - 0,643 LNX3** + 0,892LNX4*+ 0,363LNX5**+ 0,590LNX6** + 0.129D**. Factors that affectdemand quantity of Salak Bali fruit are price of Salak Bali fruit, price of orange, price of apple, price of mango, quantity of household members, income household, and situasion. The price elasitcity is elastis, based on cross elasticity both orange and apple are complementary product, while mango is substitution product of Salak Bali fruit. The income elasticity shows that Salak Bali fruits is normal product. Keywords :demand,Salak Bali fruit, Denpasar City, elasticity

Abstract

Analysis of Technical Efficient Use of Fertilizer and Pesticide Cultivation Asparagus di Desa Pelaga, Kecamatan Petang, Kabupaten BadungPelaga Village located at the Subdistrict of Petang, Badung Regency is an area thatcarry out the program of One Village One Product (OVOP) with asparagusdistinctive product since 2010. Cultivation of asparagus is influenced by the use offertilizers and pesticides including chicken manure, cow manure, urea, NPK andpesticides, where the quantity of fertilizer and pesticide use affects the production ofasparagus. This research aimed to analyze the effects of the use of fertilizers andpesticides, the farmer acceptance and to analyze the technical efficiency ofcultivation of asparagus. This research uses multiple linear regression method thatincludes: classic assumption test consisting of normality test, heteroscedasticity, testof multicoliniearity and test the linear regression model, which includes: coefficienttest determination (R2), F-test and t-test with a level real (?) of 5%. After that, inorder to analyze the technical efficiency by using the Data of Envelopment Analysis(DEA). The equation used is the production function model of Cobb-Douglasproduction function of the natural logarithm. The use of fertilizers and pesticidestogether in the cultivation of asparagus significantly affected the production ofasparagus. Partially only cow manure (X2) and NPK (X4) which significantlyaffected the production of asparagus, asparagus farmers’ income was Rp. 3,219,932for a month and already exceeds the Minimum Wage of Badung Regency. Based onthe analysis of technical efficiency, the asparagus cultivation has been efficient buthas not been able to achieve performance levels of efficiency of full-technicallyefficient, because the average technical efficiency achieved was 63%, with a rangebetween 38.5% and 100%. The value of technical inefficiency or technicallyinefficient average is 37%.

Abstract

Efficiency Analysis of the Use of Production Input on Shallot Farming in Songan B Village, Kintamani Sub-District, of Bangli Regency Bali is a tourism area and a potential market for shallot business. One of the shallotproduction centers in Bali is Songan B Village, Kintamani Sub-District, BangliRegency. Fluctuating shallot production is thought to be due to the inefficient use ofproduction inputs so that it is needed to analyze the efficiency of the use of productioninputs. This study aims to determine the effect and efficiency of the use of shallotproduction inputs. The study was conducted in Songan B Village by analyzingproduction inputs such as area of arable land, seeds, manure, NPK fertilizer, solidpesticides, liquid pesticides and labor by using the Cobb-Douglas productionfunction. The data used were data in the March, April, and May planting season of 48respondents determined by a simple random method. Efficiency can be seen from thecomparison of marginal production values and production input prices. The resultsshowed that the area of cultivated land, NPK fertilizer and labor had a positive effect onthe shallot production. Solid pesticides negatively affected the shallot production, whilethe seeds, manure and liquid pesticides had no significant effect. The inefficient use ofproduction inputs is the area of cultivated land and NPK fertilizer, so that its use must be increased, while other production inputs are inefficient that their uses must bereduced.

Abstract

Risk Analysis of Robusta Coffee Farming in Munduktemu Village, Pupuan Sub-District of Tabanan Regency. Coffee commodity is a species of small tree plantations belonging to the family of Rubiaceae and the genus of Coffea. Munduktemu Village is one of Robusta coffee producing villages in Tabanan. This study aims to determine the level of production and income risks in Robusta coffee farming if analyzed based on farm risk analysis. Based on the results of farm risk analysis, the risk of production is quite high as seen from the standard deviation of 753,45 kg / year and the coefficient of variation value of 0,33. Robusta coffee farmers can avoid production risks with a risk threshold of 753,84 kg / year. The risk of income is quite high as seen from the standard deviation value of Rp. 17,42 / year and the coefficient of variation value is 0,33. Robusta coffee farmers can avoid risk with a risk threshold of Rp 17,85 / year. The Robusta coffee farmers in Munduktemu Village are expected to pay attention to fertilizers and seeds, in order to be able to increase productivity. Alternative ways of handling risks that can be done by respondents in producing Robusta coffee is by conducting partnership farming contracts and conducting agricultural counseling or training in plant cultivation techniques of Robusta coffee, with the expectation that the respondents' Robusta coffee production yields in Munduktemu Village will be higher and more stable in the future.

AbstractFactors That Affect Consumer Demand Against Local Oranges in Denpasar CityThis study aims to test the accuracy of demand function model to approach the demand local oranges in Denpasar, identify the factors that affect consumer demand to local oranges in Denpasar, and estimate the elasticity of citrus nobilis demand in Denpasar. Location choosen purposely those in the kreneng market, ketapian market, sanglah market, and badung markets. The population on this research are the buyers of local oranges fruit. Samples taken as many as 50 people use purposive sampling techniques. This research using two demand function models namely linier demand function and Cobb-Douglas demand function who tested with three criteria which resulted the best model. Independent variable that affects was : the price of local oranges (x1), the price of import oranges (x2), the price of apples (x3), the price of mango (x4), family income (x5), and extended family (x6). Cobb-Douglas demand function model namely LnY = 2,912 - 1,109LnX1* - 1,461LnX2* - 1,579LnX3* +1,383LnX4* + 0,622LnX5* + 1,449LnX6*. Factors that affects are the price of local oranges, the price of other fruit (import oranges, apple, mango ), family income, andthe number of family members.
