Abstract

The current era is experiencing rapid advancements, and people are expecting a tool or technology that can assist in various tasks, particularly in agriculture. Hence, technology has become a necessity for humans. This final project aims to create a device that automates the process of watering chili plants, which was originally done manually. Irrigation is a crucial activity in chili plant maintenance because these plants require an adequate water supply to carry out photosynthesis and meet their growth and development needs. This project is accomplished by utilizing waste from a tilapia fishpond to replace the use of clean water for irrigating chili plants. Simultaneously, fish waste is employed as additional fertilizer for the plants. At a temperature of 27°C, with soil humidity readings below 60%, the pump will activate. Conversely, the pump will turn off if one of the sensors' readings does not meet the specified conditions to activate the pump, namely if the temperature rises above 27°C or the soil humidity surpasses the chili plant's ideal value of 80%. However, in this device, the pump is set to turn off at 75% humidity to prevent excessive soil moisture.

Abstract

Fire is a disaster that can cause major losses, especially in school environments filled with children. To improve security and quick response to fire incidents, we developed an Internet of Thing (IoT)-based "Warning Light Fire" system at the Benua Kayong 01 Elementary School. This system is designed to detect fires early and provide warnings through warning lights and notifications sent to mobile devices via the internet. The system consists of a smoke sensor and a temperature sensor connected to a microcontroller that can send data to Telegram. If the sensor detects smoke, the system will send to Telegram to notify if there is smoke, and if the temperature sensor detects signs of fire, the system will activate warning lights in the school area and send real-time notifications to the mobile devices of school staff and officers. firefighter. Test results show that this system is effective in detecting fires with a fairly fast and accurate response. The implementation of this system is expected to increase preparedness and reduce the risk of loss due to fire in schools. In the future, this system can be further developed with the integration of artificial intelligence technology for more accurate fire predictions.

Abstract

Trainers or learning media are a means to demonstrate an experiment in practical courses, especially about basic electrical installations. Carrying out the assembly or installation of electrical installations aims to make it easier for students to understand electrical installation circuits and therefore a trainer or learning media is needed for electrical installation courses where there is no Electrical Installation Trainer at the Ketapang State Polytechnic Electrical Technology Workshop. In the process of designing a trainer for a series of electrical installations, there are problem identification, data collection, tool design, making trainer components, testing, discussion and conclusions. In the process of designing the electrical installation circuit trainer, determine the components needed, then calculate the components needed. After the types and specifications of these components are known, the next step is to calculate the trainer to find out the Draft Cost Budget (RAB) used for basic electrical installation. The results of calculating the maximum current with a power of 1300 watts to supply the trainer voltage current obtained a calculation result of 7.38A by determining the cross-sectional area of the cable with the KHA value, the result was 9.2A using a cable cross-section of 1.5mm. for maximum current using MCB to get a result of 5.9A, then the MCB used is MCB 6A. The stages of the trainer making process are cutting acrylic, punching holes in acrylic, installing components, assembling and testing tools. Using 2 MCBs, 2 single switches, 1 series switch, 2 contact boxes and 5 light fittings. Keywords: Learning Media, Basic Electrical Installation Trainer

Abstract

Design and implementation of a PLC-HMI practical trainer for traffic light and flip-flop lamp applications. The trainer aims to simulate real traffic light and flip-flop scenarios using PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) CP1L and HMI (Human Machine Interface) MT8071iP. The key objectives include ensuring the trainer functions as intended and the programs operate correctly. The design process involves integrating the CP1L PLC with the MT8071iP HMI to control traffic lights and flip-flop lamps. The PLC serves as the core controller, executing logic based on input signals and programming sequences to manage the lights' timing and states. The HMI provides a user-friendly interface for operators to monitor and interact with the system, displaying real-time status and allowing manual overrides if necessary. The practical trainer's development includes hardware integration, software programming using PLC ladder logic, and HMI configuration to establish communication and synchronization between the devices. Testing procedures ensure the trainer meets functional specifications, verifying that traffic light sequences and flip-flop operations align with expected behavior. In conclusion, the implemented PLC-HMI practical trainer successfully achieves its objectives of simulating traffic control scenarios and flip-flop lamp operations. The project underscores the importance of accurate programming and reliable hardware integration in industrial automation systems, ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to design requirements Keywords: Practical trainer, PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), HMI (Human Machine Interface), Traffic lights, Flip-flop lamps

Abstract

Maintaining a clean environment has become an individual responsibility, but maintaining it requires more time, energy and costs. In this research, the aim is to design a prototype grass cutter based on Arduino Uno with remote control using an Android smartphone with a Bluetooth connection to avoid the risk of accidents that could occur. The process of designing a grass cutter prototype based on an Arduino Uno with Android smartphone control is problem identification, data collection, tool design, tool making, testing, discussion and conclusions. In the process of designing a grass cutter prototype based on an Arduino Uno with Android smartphone control, selecting the required components, then calculating the required components. After the type and specifications of the components are known, the next step is to calculate the manufacture of a prototype grass cutter based on an Arduino Uno to find out the recommended Cost Budget (RAB) for a prototype grass cutter based on an Arduino Uno with Android smartphone control. The test results show that this system can operate well, is able to detect and provide effective grass cutting performance and the Bluetooth module used as a controller connection functions with a control distance of 1 meter to 20 meters. The height of the grass that can be cut by the prototype grass cutter is 5 cm to 15 cm. The test results show that battery consumption in 1 minute when the grass cutter prototype is operating is 0.8 Volts, then after using it for 5 minutes there is a reduction in battery voltage from 15.05 Volts to 11.05 Volts, meaning that after 5 minutes of use there is a current consumption of 4 Volts and the system will stop operating when the voltage drops below 12 V. Abstract

Practical media is a means to demonstrate an experiment in practicum courses, especially about controlling electric motors and controlling electric motors. Researchers conducted this research to facilitate students in understanding the star delta circuit. The 3phase induction motor is the main tool that uses electrical energy to use electrical energy to drive electrical machines. This motor is the most widely used alternating current motor in the industrial world. Star relationships in motors are needed to minimize current. After the current drops move to delta relationship to get full voltage. In the process of designing this starting circuit trainer is problem identification, data collection, tool design, making trainer components, trials, discussion and conclusions. In the process of designing this starting circuit trainer, select the components needed, then calculate the components needed. After the components are known types and specifications, then the calculation of the starting circuit trainer is made to find out the recommended Rancangan Anggaran Biaya (RAB) on this star delta circuit trainer. The results of the calculation of the capacity of the required components, then this practicum tool can not only be used for star delta circuits or relationships but can be used for other circuits. Practical tools should be used as learning media for Electrical Power Installation practicum courses. For other researchers if they want to develop this tool, they can carry out other methods of both designing the shape and assembly in order to produce a better practicum tool.
