Abstract

In the digital era, technological literacy is an essential skill that needs to be mastered by students to face the challenges of the 21st century. This study analyzes how technological literacy can improve students' critical thinking skills in writing texts. The method used is classroom action research (PTK) involving 30 class XI MPLB 6 students at SMK Negeri 7 Medan. The learning process utilized various technology platforms, such as word-processing software, online collaborative tools, and interactive learning applications. The results showed that technological literacy significantly improved students' critical thinking skills, particularly in identifying arguments, analyzing text structure, and composing coherent and logical writing. In addition, students also became more independent in evaluating and revising their texts with the help of digital tools.

Abstract

In this era of digitalization, there have been major changes in education, especially with the integration of technology into the world of education. As an advanced stage of formal education, high school plays an important role in integrating technology into the teaching-learning process. Various studies show the great potential of technology to enrich student learning experiences, improve access to educational resources, and improve teaching efficiency. The study used the literature review method, combining the results of several related studies into a new topic. From the review, it was found that the use of technology in high schools involves a variety of digital infrastructures and programs, such as Zoom, Canva, digital education (E-Learnings), Google Classroom, Google Sites, Magic School, Kahoot, E-Ujian, video conference, electronic report (e-Rapot), and WhatsApp Application. The main advantage of technology is its ability to make teaching more exciting and interactive for learners. However, the challenge is the inequality of connectivity related to technology. Students who do not have electronic devices or internet connectivity risk being left behind, creating differences or imbalances in learning opportunities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan menulis teks anekdot siswa kelas X SMA Swasta Budi Agung mengunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri tanpa berbantuan media film komedi. Teknik yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah teknik Simple Random Sampling, dilakukan dengan menentukan dan membagi sampel jika yang diteliti sangat luas. Instrumen penilaian yang digunakan yaitu kelengkapan struktur dan kelengkapan kaidah kebahasaan. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode eksperimen, dengan jenis penelitian Quasi Experimental Design. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji persyaratan analisis data, uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian pada kelas eksperimen dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri berbantuan media film komedi diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 83,88. Pemerolehan nilai siswa di kelas eksperimen tergolong kategori sangat sangat baik dengan persentasi 58,33%. Kelas kontrol dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri berbantuan media cerita bergambar memperoleh nilai rata-rata 65. Pemerolehan hasil menulis teks anekdot siswa di kelas kontrol berada pada rentang dikategori cukup dengan persentasi 41,66%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, membuktikan bahwasannya model pembelajaran inkuiri berbantuan media film komedi lebih memiliki pengaruh terhadap kemampuan menulis teks anekdot siswa kelas X SMA Swasta Budi Agung Marelan dibandingkan dengan menggunakan media cerita bergambar.Kata Kunci: Inkuiri, Media Film, Teks Anekdot, Menulis.

Abstract

The integration of literacy programs for children with language disorders requires different actions than those for children in general. This study is qualitative research based on a narrative approach through literature studies. Literacy programs train student in reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills, as well as in using and listening to language in speaking, reading, and writing. Literacy programs for children with language disorders are different from literacy programs for normal children because children with language disorders related to speech mechanisms, such as dyslexia, alexia, or dysarthria, as well as children with psychogenic disorders, such as stuttering, spoiling, or effemination, require special care in language learning. To improve their abilities, literacy programs must begin at a habituation stage. These literacy programs include early literacy, early literacy, library literacy, media literacy, technology literacy, and visual literacy

Abstract

Bullying remains a pressing issue in schools worldwide. To address this problem, we developed an innovative e-module that integrates storytelling, digital literacy, and interactive activities to prevent bullying among middle and high school students. This study evaluated the effectiveness of the e-module in fostering empathy, promoting digital citizenship, and equipping students with strategies to respond to bullying. Results indicated a significant increase in students' knowledge about bullying, their ability to identify different forms of bullying, and their confidence in reporting incidents. Additionally, the e-module was found to be highly engaging and enjoyable for students. These findings suggest that the e-module is a promising tool for schools seeking to create safer and more inclusive learning environments

Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in developing the Golden Generation 2045 who excel in literacy and numeracy. Unfortunately, PISA 2018 revealed that Indonesian students' literacy and numeracy skills are still below the OECD countries' average. Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) presents a new approach in developing evaluation instruments that not only assess academic abilities but also build sustainable awareness. This research used a qualitative descriptive method, with data collection techniques including observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The data was analyzed using data reduction techniques, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. This article explores the application of ESD concepts in developing literacy and numeracy questions and the obstacles faced by educators. The results of this study indicate that most teachers still have difficulty developing HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) questions with stimuli related to ESD. Therefore, training programs and strategic approaches are needed to help teachers create more contextual questions and encourage students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low participation of students of SMP Negeri 1 Sigumpar in participating in the scientific work competition which is their own innovation.    All this time, many people think that the students from the countryside are uncreative and difficult to  make innovation, and also some people think that the students of Junior High School are too early to  start the research.  According to Bloom and Anderson"˜s taxonomy, creative competence is not only for the high school level, but has started even at the elementary school level. By learning to create something out of materials that exist in the surroundings, the construction of the child's thinking will be formed and will be increasingly critical and innovative. Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)-based learning really needs to be empowered from an early age.  This is in accordance with the demands for independent learning that the government is currently planning. STEM-based learning makes students free to be creative and apply their ideas and creations.  This research was conducted at SMP N 1 Sigumpar with the aim of finding out whether the application of the project-based learning model on the subject was effective. Nature can be a material for students' innovative work and improve student learning outcomes. The method of this research used a quasi-experimental research design with one group pretest – posttest design. The data collection method that used in this study was a questionnaire, questions and observations in class VIII A as many as 30 students. Data analysis was carried out by descriptive and qualitative.   The results showed that the project-based learning increases student creativity and learning results.  So that this learning method is very good to be applied because based on the experience of students the more enthusiastic about learning.Keywords : Project, Learning, STEM, Creative

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) menganalisis kemampuan menulis surat resmi siswa kelas VII SMP Al Mukmin sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan teknik pemebelajaran Revisi Teman Sebaya (Peer Editing), (2) Untuk menjelaskan pengaruh teknik pembelajaran Revisi Teman Sebaya (Peer Editing) terhadap kemampuan menulis resmi siswa kelas VII SMP Al Mukmin. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dan desain penelitian one group Pre-test post-test design. Jumlah populasi yang digunakan seluruh siswa kelas VII dengan jumlah 60 orang dan sampel kelas VII-1 yang berjumlah 30 orang. Teknik analisis data yang gunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan menguji persyaratan analisis, uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, serta uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil rata-rata keterampilan menulis surat resmi siswa sebelum menggunakan teknik Peer Editing memiliki skor sebesar 68,3 yang terkategori kurang baik. Sedangkan hasil diperoleh siswa setelah menggunakan teknik Peer Editing yaitu 88,1 dan terkategori baik. Berdasarkan hasil uji t pada taraf signifikan ? = 0,05 diperoleh nilai ttabel = 2,04 dan hasil thitung = 12. Maka, thitung > ttabel yakni 12 > 2,04, sehingga H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan teknik pembelajaran Revisi Teman Sebaya (Peer Editing) berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan menulis Surat Resmi pada siswa kelas VII SMP Al Mukmin.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses  pengembangan bahan ajar pada materi teks fable berbantuan BOT Telegram kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Medan, juga untuk mengetahui tingkat kelayakan bahan ajar materi teks fable berbantuan BOT Telegram Kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode RD (Research and Development). Instrumen penelitian ini berupa penyebaran angket kepada siswa, validator materi, validator media, dan guru bahasa Indonesia, dengan menggunakan skala likert. Hasil validasi ahli materi memperoleh 75% (layak), hasil validasi media memperoleh 84% (sangat layak), hasil validasi guru memperoleh 94% (sangat layak). Sehingga rata-rata hitung hasil seluruh validasi yaitu 85% (sangat layak). Didukung dengan hasil uji coba produk bahan ajar yang dilakukan kepada siswa kelas VII-5 SMP Negeri 2 Medan memperoleh nilai 82,3% (sangat layak).
