Abstract

This study aims to find out how the exploratory factor analysis (EFA) conducted which can be used in further research. Also to find out how the factors need to be grouping and then confirmed to assess the degree to which the data meet the expected structure. The author has conducted a survey of 124 respondents. The respondents were asked to give their responses on a five-point Likert scale through a questionnaire. The data has been analyzed with exploratory factor analysis (EFA) using Varimax rotation, which reduced the data into several factors. The findings of this study indicate that product, service satisfaction, price satisfaction, promotion, and customer hospitality influence customer satisfaction of Parklatz Café in Ponorogo City.

Abstract

Waqf is one of Islamic Filantrophy heritage, there is lot of institutions capable of fostering community with waqf and even in the history, waqf capable to building civilization. Gontor the first cottage standing and becomes waqf, so they no longer belong to the family or private. But unfortunately the nearby village community of Gontor that should feeling the impact of Gontor welfare can not so visible. Which Visible is the welfare gaps between Gontor and Society.This research is a qualitative research with Gontor villagers as the object who have direct or indirect relationship with Gontor as well as people who are not related to Gontor but stayed in the Gontor village. the method used is non-prbability sampling that is purposive sampling. Data collected through interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed by using the method of Miles and Huberman through data reduction, data display and then summed to determine the contribution of Gontor waqf Against Neighborhood soceity. The results of this study is that the management of Waqf in Gontor runs very well even with the emergence of a rapidly growing business units, Gontor productive waqf also seek to contribute to the welfare of the village community Gontor, and all indicators of Maqasid Shari’ah can be met, especially in the field of economic independence.

Abstract

This research aimed to seek the influence of waqf understanding on cash waqf intention of the mosque congregation at the District of Ponorogo. The method employed in this study is multiple regressions with primary data collected from 150 respondents of 5 big mosques in the District of Ponorogo within the questionnaire. The result of the study shows that all variables of waqf understanding namely basic understanding of waqf, understanding of waqf benefit, and understanding of waqf laws are simultaneously influenced the dependent variable with significant impact. Meanwhile, partially understanding the benefit of waqf positively significant influenced the intention to participate and donate cash waqf, while the rest variables had no impact on the intention to participate and donate cash waqf.

Abstract

Literacy at higher education institutions in Indonesia is at a low level where BPS 2018 data states that of the total Indonesian population aged 15 years and over who participated in higher education at 18.59% of the pure enrollment rate at the level of education in Indonesia. That means that Indonesians who continue their education to a higher level are lower than those who go straight to work after graduating from high school. The low level of literacy in general, is in line with the low economic literacy and Islamic economics, especially at Islamic higher education institutions. This is proven by the low knowledge of students about financial literacy that has an impact on individual financial management. Based on the background of the problem, the significance of Islamic economic literacy at universities in Indonesia needs to be studied and researched both theoretically and practically. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to describe the significance of literacy in higher education institutions in Indonesia. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with a literature approach used to study theories related to literacy so that it can emerge as to the significance of Islamic economic literacy in universities. The results of this study found that economic literacy is absolute necessity so students can compete globally and even become world-class inventors. But economic literacy alone is not enough, there needs to be values that keep economic activity on track in accordance with religious norms. Therefore, the literacy of Islamic economics in all aspects is an urgency that needs to be considered by individuals and educational institutions to be able to encourage people to help each other in economic independence with students as literacy agents.

Abstract

As the most populous Muslim nation, Indonesia has a big potential to unlock its Islamic financial market. However, there is a call on human development in the field to ensure the sustainability of the system. This study attempts to investigate the untapped potential of youth generation in Indonesia. The paper employs a qualitative research in developing the waqf and zakah funds based on the practice of Forum Silaturrahim Studi Ekonomi Islam (FoSSEI). The study found that waqf and zakah funds in Indonesia might solve the Islamic financial literacy problem of the country. In addition, the paper suggested the framework on developing waqf and zakah funds in spreading the Islamic financial literacy through youth empowerment by designing Islamic Economic Boarding School (IEBS) project. The study recommended the policy makers to design robust zakah and waqf framework leading the industry and nation’s economy for the long-run prosperity.

Abstract

Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengidentifikasi proses rekrutmen karyawan Badan Wakaf Indonesia (BWI) Pusat Jakarta. Diharapkan dari hasil temuan ini dapat dijadikan bahan rujukan bagi lembaga-lembaga wakaf secara khusus mengenai strategi rekutmen karyawan atau anggota pengelolanya, sehingga bermanfaat bagi organisasi-organisasi pengelola wakaf yang baru berdiri di daerah-daerah pelosok provinsi. Asset wakaf dapat terus berkembang dan nantinya dapat dimanfaatkan secara berkelanjutan. Dengan mengidentifikasi model rekrutmen ini, hasil penelitian ini sangat penting karena akhir-akhir ini banyak kajian tentang keuangan Islam khususnya lembaga wakaf dan pengelolaannya yang dilakukan oleh sekelompok masyarakat yang secara praktik di lapangan belum optimal dalam mengelola serta memanfaatkannya. Dalam mencapai tujuan yang dimaksud, penulis menggunakan pendekatan metode kualitatif deskriptif melalui wawancara sebagai cara untuk memperoleh data model rekrutmen. Kemudian menggukan metode kuantitatif dalam rangka menemukan hasil pengaruh rekrutmen terhadap kinerja karyawan BWI sebagai sumber daya insani yang mengelola asset umat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa model rekrutmen pada BWI Pusat telah tertuang dalam UU Perwakafan tahun 2010 tentang penerimaan dan pemberhentian anggota badan wakaf dengan tambahan menguasai hukum, ilmu perwakafan dan tata kelola keuangan maupun investasi. Adapun faktor yang dianggap paling mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan di BWI adalah faktor kepribadian.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the role of Islamic boarding schools in the application of economic literacy. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The object of this research is Darussalam Gontor University. The results of this study indicate that Islamic boarding schools in implementing economic literacy carry out several functions; 1) as an educational institution that changes the economic orientation of the community which was originally intended to satisfy wants, to become "sufficient" by meeting needs, 2) as an educational institution that changes a consumptive lifestyle into a moderate lifestyle, 3) as an educational institution that frames human economic activities in the framework of ta'abbudi (worship) which was originally limited to the framework of meeting physical needs, 4) as an educational institution that changes its profit and utility orientation, to an orientation to maximize maslahah, 5) as an educational institution that applies forced learning methods, and finally could be because they are used to it, 6) as an educational institution that applies economic literacy not limited to academic aspects, but non-academic aspects.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran universitas pesantren dalam penerapan literasi ekonomi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Objek penelitian ini adalah Universitas Darussalam Gontor. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa universitas pesantren dalam pelaksanaan literasi ekonomi menjalankan beberapa fungsi; 1) sebagai lembaga pendidikan yang mengubah orientasi ekonomi masyarakat yang semula dimaksudkan untuk memuaskan keinginan, menjadi "cukup" dengan memenuhi kebutuhan, 2) sebagai institusi pendidikan yang mengubah gaya hidup konsumtif menjadi gaya hidup moderat, 3) sebagai lembaga pendidikan yang membingkai kegiatan ekonomi manusia modern dalam kerangka ta'abbudi (ibadah) yang semula terbatas pada kerangka pemenuhan kebutuhan fisik, 4) sebagai lembaga pendidikan yang mengubah orientasi berorientasi keuntungan dan utilitas, menjadi orientasi memaksimalkan maslahah, 5) sebagai institusi pendidikan yang menerapkan metode pembelajaran secara paksa, dan akhirnya bisa karena mereka sudah terbiasa, 6) sebagai lembaga pendidikan yang menerapkan literasi ekonomi tidak terbatas pada aspek akademik, tetapi aspek non-akademik.

Abstract

This research aimed to investigate the service quality provided by Garuda Indonesia Airlines at Jogjakarta international Airport on customer satisfaction. 200 questionnaire was deployed which return and able to analyze about 142 questionnaire. Multiple Regression analysis employed to analyze the relationship between service quality dimension (tangible, reliability, responsiveness, and assurance) and customer satisfaction. The result shows that simultaneously all independents variable has a positive impact on dependent variable. Meanwhile, partially tangible and reliability has positive significant influence on customer satisfaction while responsiveness and assurance is insignificant to customer satisfaction. The R2 shows that 0.487 means 48.7% of dependent variable was explained and influenced by independent variables while the rest of it about 51.3% was influenced by another variable that not included in this research.

Abstract

This paper seeks the relations between the religiosity and the transparency to the production factors usage in the land crops cultivation as well as the effect of production factor to the sharecropping contract in East Java. The method employs in this study is Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) with the respondent of the research is 400 farmers from the 8 counties in East Java. The result shows that religiosity and transparency have positives and significant effect to the production factors usage in the cultivation of the land crops in East Java with the p-value respectively 0.008 for religiosity to production factors and 0.001 for transparency to production factors. Meanwhile, the influence of production factors to the sharecropping contract is positive and significant with p-value about 0.001. Furthermore, the R-square of production factors is about 0.907 which mean 90.7% of production factors variable is explained by religiosity and transparency variables while the rest of it is explained by other variables out of this research. Meanwhile, the sharecropping contracts R-square is about 0.629 which means 62.9% of sharecropping contracts variable is explained by production factors variable while the rest of it about 37.1% is explained by other variables out of this research.

Abstract

Currently, technological developments have provided significant changes in world economic activities and transactions. As a Muslim community that follows Islamic Shari'a, they must have adequate comprehension of the latest forms of transactions so that the economic activities carried out do not conflict with Islamic economic principles. The purpose of this paper is to describe maslahah mursalah, electronic commerce (e-commerce), and how the function of e-commerce is related to maslahah mursalah. Through qualitative research methods with descriptive analysis, this paper describes e-commerce in the study of maslahah mursalah. The results of this paper's discussion reveal that The mechanism of e-commerce has similarities with the as-salam contract in the perspective of Islamic economics. Thus, an E-commerce transaction is a form of Maslahah (providing benefits/convenience) whose level is at Maslahah Hajiyyat in terms of muamalah activities that include the sale and purchase of bai’ as-salam. Thus, the conclusion is that e-commerce has incorporated the requirements of use maslahah al-mursalah.
