Abstract

The purpose of this study was to see the teacher's performance in terms of the leadership of the madrasah principal at MAN 3 Langkat. The research method used is qualitative research, using interview, observation and documentation techniques. The research results show that The principal, teachers and staff strive to create a conducive climate in order to make the madrasa as an educational institution and educational facility for all components in the madrasa, both for students and teachers and staff. Madrasa supervisors, madrasa heads, teachers and staff are expected to work hand in hand to close ranks, unite, compact in every decision-making by deliberation and consensus in every coordination meeting in order to build good leadership. The behavior of the principal in relation to the leadership of the madrasah principal to improve teacher performance must be improved and developed.

Abstract

Kepemimpinan dalam sebuah organisasi merupakan faktor penting dalam keberhasilan organisasi menuju tujuan yang ditetapkan. Untuk menjawab serta mengatasi berbagai permasalahan yang terjadi dalam kepemimpinan organisasi di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 3 Langkat membutuhkan program pelatihan khusus. Pelatihan yang berguna ini memberikan pemahaman yang komprehensif dan mendalam tentang dasar-dasar kepemimpinan. Para pimpinan OSIM dituntut untuk belajar memahami dasar-dasar tentang kepemimpinan sehingga nantinya dalam keseharian memimpin anggotanya bisa memiliki sikap disiplin dan bertanggungjawab dalam mencapai tujuan organisasi. Disamping itu program ini dilaksanakan untuk membentuk karakter kepribadian dan mengasah soft skill yang mana akan berguna kepada mereka setelah lulus dan masuk ke dalam dunia kerja. Disamping itu program ini dilaksanakan untuk membentuk karakter kepribadian dan mengasah soft skill yang mana akan berguna kepada mereka setelah lulus dan masuk ke dalam dunia kerja. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran yang komprehensif tentang dasar-dasar kepemimpinan, dengan pelatihan kepemimpinan ini nantinya diharapkan mampu mendasari para siswa anggota OSIM dalam memahami pengetahuan kepemimpinan dan membina kepemimpinan dalam dirinya.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the leadership pattern of a madrasa head, the formulation of the problem in this study is how the leadership pattern of the madrasa head and the implementation of the madrasa head in decision making in the madrasa. This research was conducted at MTS PAB-1 Sampali, Deli Serdang Regency. The research method used in this research is to use a qualitative approach. The result of the research is that the leadership applied is a democratic leadership pattern by involving all elements of the school such as teachers, students, stake holders and parents. Decision making on students who commit disciplinary violations also goes through three stages before being sanctioned with dismissal, namely Giving Advice, Recording/Agreement Letters/Black Books, Calling Parents

Abstract

The focus of research to describe the purpose of this study are: 1. To find out how Madrasa Head Leadership is in decision making, 2. To find out how Madrasa Head's efforts are in developing a quality culture in student learning in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Medan. Abstract

The activity of scientific writing training at MAN 1 Tanjung Pura is a form of community service, considering the importance of soft skills in writing various scientific works today. The method used is face-to-face training with stages of opening, motivation, materials, and evaluation. The training in scientific writing in the era of digitalization encourages students to be actively engaged in writing activities. The objective of this training is to provide the necessary skills and knowledge for students to write scientific works effectively. During this training, students are taught various types of scientific works and how to access and evaluate information sources through digital technology. The use of software and applications is also introduced to assist students in composing, organizing, and publishing scientific works digitally.

Abstract

Education is a conscious and planned effort aimed at creating a conducive learning environment and processes for students to actively develop their potential, encompassing spiritual strength, self-control, personality, intelligence, noble character, and essential skills for themselves, society, the nation, and the state. This research explores the strategic management of school principals in enhancing teacher professionalism at MAN 3 Langkat. The qualitative research method, employing a phenomenological approach, is chosen to deeply understand natural phenomena related to school principal strategies in improving teacher professionalism. The findings reveal several strategies used by the school principal, such as intensifying meetings, effective teacher duty rotation, sending teachers to workshops, and offering guidance and supervision. The school principal's enthusiasm for improving teacher professionalism is evident through professional training and active involvement in problem-solving. In conclusion, the school principal's strategic management significantly contributes to enhancing teacher professionalism at MAN 3 Langkat. This research underscores the importance of collaboration between school principals and teachers, sharing a common vision, mission, and goal in achieving educational objectives. It emphasizes the continuous professional development of teachers to optimize their potential and deliver high-quality education.

Abstract

The importance of communication within organizations is expected to contribute to creating a conducive environment. This study is a literature review analyzing theories and studies from academic works such as books, journals, and proceedings. The research findings indicate that effective communication in educational institutions needs to take steps such as: 1) transparency, 2) communication media, and 3) communication skills. The basic principles of effective communication include openness, consistency, etiquette, contextual appropriateness, and empowerment, while some inhibiting factors include information filtering, selective perception, emotions, and language differences. The implication of the article is the necessity for active efforts in creating an environment that supports effective communication in educational institutions.

Abstract

This paper mentoring activity aims to provide understanding to participants to understand the meaning of scientific papers. This activity also aims to train participants in writing scientific papers. This qualitative research uses a case study design of scientific writing assistance. The focus is on providing guidance and support to IAIDU Asahan lecturers. The instruments used are lectures, discussions and training. Writing scientific papers requires a systematic approach starting from planning, writing objectives, to handling obstacles that may arise. This process involves awareness of writing habits, development of planning and focus skills, and the ability to overcome internal and external obstacles. By identifying and understanding barriers, writers can achieve higher quality scientific work and make a positive contribution to the academic world.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang pengaruh teman sebaya dalam proses perkembangan keremajaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh teman sebaya dalam proses perkembangan keremajaan tidak selalu positif, yaitu melalui ; 1) Hubungan teman sebaya mempengaruhi kebiasaan baik atau buruk remaja; (2) cara teman sebaya bisa membantu remaja mengatasi masalah; (3) manfaat memiliki teman yang baik bagi remaja (4) pentingnya teman sebaya bagi remaja. Pentingnya pengaruh teman sebaya dalam proses keremajaan tidak hanya terletak pada tahap-tahap perkembangan individu, tetapi juga pada hasil akhir dari pencapaian kesejahteraan psikologis dan sosial remaja. Oleh karena itu, penelitian mengenai peran teman sebaya dalam perkembangan keremajaan menjadi sangat relavan dan penting dalam konteks psikologi perkembangan. Pentingnya memahami pengaruh teman sebaya dalam proses keremajaan tidak dapat diabaikan. Sebagai bagian dari upaya untuk mendukung perkembangan remaja yang sehat dan positif, penelitian yang mendalam tentang dinamika interaksi dengan teman sebaya memengaruhi proses keremajaan, kita dapat mengembangkan strategi yang lebih efektif dalam mendukung kesejahteraan dan perkembangan remaja.

Abstract

This research arises from the current low quality of education. Therefore, these studies are strategically focused on improving the quality of higher education institutions. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach based at Dharmawangsa University. Data collection includes research planning, data collection, data analysis, interpretation and case development, case selection, report preparation, validation, and application of findings. The research findings show that at Dharmawangsa University, improving the university’s quality requires planning that emphasizes aspects such as the university's vision, mission, and goals articulated in the university's milestones, and determining the direction and policies of the university itself. Its implementation requires the establishment of Standard Operating Procedures, Terms of Reference, Budget Plans, and Activity Plans that prioritize the principles of participation, transparency, and accountability. In addition, both internal and external quality assurance of higher education is also very important, encompassing strategies, goals, quality standards, procedures, mechanisms, human resources, activities, information systems, and evaluations. The presence of the Quality Assurance Body is intended to support the creation of an effective internal control system within the university environment.
