Abstract

Jambi City is a city that is experiencing growth and development in its industrial Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), with MSMEs contributing 37.68% to the overall industrial sector, out of a total of 6,416 industrial units in Jambi City. The objective of this research is to determine the leading industrial MSMEs and formulate appropriate strategies for fostering the development of these leading MSMEs. The research was conducted in Jambi City due to its highest number of MSME industrial units in the Jambi province. The determination of leading industrial MSMEs utilized the TOPSIS method, while the formulation of strategies for the development of leading industrial MSMEs employed a combination of TOPSIS-SWOT. The research findings indicate that the food sector is the leading industry for MSMEs in Jambi City. The recommended strategies for the development of the MSME industry include increasing product diversification through contemporary product designs, enhancing IT-based workforce competency, providing capital assistance and financial management support, and developing the online market..

Abstract

The Regional Water Supply Company (in Indonesian it is called PERUMDAM) is a Regional Owned Enterprise or also known as BUMD, tasked with serving the community by providing clean water for both household and industrial consumption and seeking business profits. In reality, PERUMDAM still suffers losses in financial management despite its dual mandate. The purpose of this study is to examine the factors causing PERUMDAM's losses and formulate policies that can improve PERUMDAM's financial health through financial management in the province of Jambi. The analysis used is a panel data regression model and an in-depth panel data analysis model. The results of the study show that the variables of production cost, production efficiency, customer growth, and tariff fulfillment percentage are variables that significantly affect PERUMDAM losses and are priorities for policy formulation to improve PERUMDAM. Meanwhile, the variables of water loss and water meter replacement are variables that do not significantly affect PERUMDAM losses in districts/cities in Jambi Province. Policy instruments for addressing PERUMDAM losses can be implemented through three priority variables: reducing production cost, improving production efficiency, and increasing customer growth.

Abstract

Agroindustry is a processing industry that contributes significantly to the economy of Jambi Province. Agroindustry in Jambi Province is dominated by the plantation sector. Plantations in Jambi Province produce agricultural commodities that are used as raw materials for agroindustry. The purpose of this study is to determine superior agroindustries based on community economics and then formulate appropriate strategies for the sustainable economic development of Jambi Province. The research method applied is secondary data analysis and observational analysis. Meanwhile, the analysis models used are the TOPSIS analysis model to determine leading agro-industries and the TOPSIS-SWOT analysis model to formulate development strategies. The results of the study show that the cooking oil industry was selected as the superior agro-industry. The development strategy for the selected cooking oil industry includes increasing the production capacity of palm oil plantations and CPO factories, establishing a CPO processing industry polytechnic, applying low-cholesterol technology to processed products from CPO, facilitating investment in environmentally friendly CPO factories, and increasing export quotas and controlling domestic consumption. The uniqueness of this research focuses on agro-industry development based on the criteria used in determining leading agro-industries, including business units, labour, production value, investment value, and capital turnover.

Abstract

Capaian kinerja personil Direktorat Lalu Lintas Polda Kepulauan Riau belum optimal, karena pada dua tahun terakhir, masuk dalam rangking sepuluh besar jumlah kasus kecelakaan lalu lintas tertinggi. Diidentifikasi adanya permasalahan capaian kinerja masih belum memuaskan, adanya surat surat perintah tentang pelatihan dan uji kompetensi bagi para personil. Masih ada beberapa laporan dari masyarakat tentang belum optimalnya profesionalisme, pelayanan dan kompetensi para personil. Penelitian kuantitatif ditujukan untuk menganalisis pengaruh tentang profesionalisme, pelayanan dan kompetensi dimediasi pelatihan terhadap kinerja personil Direktorat Lalu Lintas Polda Kepulauan Riau. Dengan populasi seluruh personil yang berjumlah 180, kemudian menggunakan metode purposive sampling didapati ada 169 personil yang dapat dijadikan sampel. Untuk analisis data menggunakan Smart PLS. Hasil analisis menyimpulkan bahwa profesionalisme dan pelatihan berpengaruh secara positif signifikan terhadap kinerja. Pelayanan berpengaruh secara negatif tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja sedangkan kompetensi positif tidak signifikan. Profesionalisme pelayanan dan kompetensi berpengaruh secara positif signifikan terhadap pelatihan. Kemudian Profesionalisme pelayanan dan kompetensi dimediasi pelatihan berpengaruh secara positif signifikan terhadap kinerja. Disarankan antara lain kepada semua unsur pimpinan dapat memastikan agar program pelatihan yang dilaksanakan tepat sasaran dan semua personilnya diberikan kesempatan yang sama sesuai ketentuan.
