Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth the improvement of mathematical problem solving abilities of students who take part in learning through the REACT strategy. The research method chosen was quasi-experimental research with a non-equivalent control group design. In this experimental design there were two groups of samples, the pretest, the different treatments, and the presence of posttest. The data obtained during the study were analyzed using SPSS 19 software to obtain a conclusion. After analyzing the data, it was concluded that an increase in students 'mathematical problem solving abilities whose learning through the REACT strategy was better than the improvement of students' mathematical problem solving abilities in conventional learning

Abstract

The most of junior high students who do not understand the relevance of mathematical material make them often forget the material that has been studied. Junior high school students are still struggling in solving problems related to writing daily life problems into the form of mathematical models and difficulty in connecting between objects and concepts in mathematics. The difficulties of students in learning mathematics are elements of mathematical connection ability. It shows the ability of mathematical connections of students of class VII D SMP Negeri 46 Bandung which is still not optimal. Therefore, researchers apply the MMP (Missouri Mathematics Project) learning model to attempt to meet the achievement of students' mathematical connection ability. Achievement of students' mathematical connection ability is seen from the fulfillment of classical learning completeness criteria of 75.00% with KKM of 68 applicable in the class. The research method used is classroom action research method (PTK) which consists of three cycles. The instrument used in this research is a test instrument to measure the achievement of students' mathematical connection ability and attitude scale instrument to know the student's response to the learning of mathematics using MMP learning model. The result of this research is mathematical connection ability of students in every cycle and after all cycle have been reached and pertained good criterion. Achievement in the first cycle is 77.50%; in the second cycle is 82.05%; in the third cycle is 97.77%; and after the whole cycle is 94.44%.

Abstract

The feeding behavior and of hylobates syndactylus (siamang) was investigated at the Way-Canguk Research area inBukit-Barisan Selatan National Park between the months of February and July 2002. The research was conducted in undisturbedforest area (F1) and disturbed forest area (F2). Focal animal sampling method was use with and interval of 5 minutes. Sixsiamangs in each forest types were observed. The results of the investigations concluded that F1 and F2 siamangs spend moretime resting than feeding. The percentage of feeding activity whichy is done by F1 and F2 Siamangs are 31% and 34%. Theactivity began at 6 until 7 am and increased to midday until 2 pm. After that, the activity decreased until 5.30 pm. The monthlyrange correlates negatively activity of F1 and F2 siamangs use mostly the middle layer of the canopy.Keywords : The feeding activites, Hylobates syndactylus, Bukit -Barisan Selatan National Park, disturbed, undisturbed.

Abstract

In the last few decades, the global temperature increase is something society cannot avoid. Thus, each country's international policies at COP 26 deal with this phenomenon. Among these international policies to minimize the temperature rise that has occurred, are the presence of non-party-stakeholders, one of them indigenous peoples with a variety of local knowledge in maintaining the sustainability of forest ecosystems. In case of that, this study discusses efforts for the climate change mitigation and adaptation of Toro customary communities in Lore Lindu National Park. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach with a Delphi study. The results of our study show the effort of Toro communities to mitigate and adapt the climate change divided by the Nature School of Ngata Toro, Ombo, and the advantage of the land space of the forest. The development of these three patterns would greatly benefit Indonesia's program policy (FoLU Net Sink 2030). In order for the community to be aware of the values of local wisdom that may be applied in forest management in order to mitigate climate change, LLNP as the owner of a conservation area surrounding the forest, must be able to translate this potential efficiently.

Abstract

The implementation of mina padi system in the Putih Village comes from complaints of farmers who have land east of the river that are often flooded, so it makes the land less productive. So that the headman of Putih Village began the innovation of minapadi system to overcome that problem. Over time, the implementation of minapadi system can increase the welfare of farmers. The welfare obtained by these farmers is not only in the form of wealth, but also includes of soul, mind, descent, and religion. As in maqashid syariah, it is explained that welfare can be achieved if the five basic elements of life are fulfilled. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with descriptive approach. Data sources are obtained from informants, location situation, and documentation files. The results of this study are: 1) The mechanism of mina padi system was begun with land preparation used for the application of the mina padi system. Then, it is continued with the sowing of fish seeds. Putih Village used intercropping pattern with a deep rice plant model equipped with caren. 2) With the implementation of the mina padi system, the welfare obtained by farmers has increased because farmers got two types of results in one time harvest. In addition, minapadi system produced the better results, so it can increase the selling price. 3) The implementation of maqashid syariah in minapadi system namely the farmer welfare in dharuriyah discussion in maintaining religion, wealth, soul, mind, and descent.

Abstract

Pembangunan karakter pada siswa merupakan upaya dalam mewujudkan amanat Landasan Negara yakni Pancasila dan UUD’45. Upaya pembangunan karakter ini didasari atas keprihatinan terhadap perubahan karakter siswa yang keluar daripada nilai-nilai Pancasila. Seiring perkembangan dunia tekhnologi dan internet, memaksa kita untuk segera berbenah dan mampu menangkal efek buruk dari perkembangan tekhnologi tersebut. Guru sebagai pendidik dan pengajar juga harus mampu menyesuaikan diri dengan meningkatkan kapasitas nya terkait PKn agar mampu memberikan pengajaran dan pengarahan yang baik dan benar kepada siswa untuk meningkatkan karakter nya. Abstract

This research discusses the management of school principals in the SD Negeri Kalenpandan Pamulihan Brebes which is one of the educational institutions that are superior and trusted by the community. School management is a factor and the key to the success of the school, including in improving teacher discipline. Therefore, this research is focused on principal management in improving teacher discipline. This study aims to determine the management of the principal which includes planning, organizing, implementing, supervising or evaluating in improving teacher discipline at SD Negeri Kalenpandan Pamulihan Brebes. This research is a qualitative descriptive research, which was conducted at SD Negeri Kalenpandan Pamulihan Brebes using a case study plan. The data collection techniques used include: 1). Observation (Observation), 2). Interview 3). Documentation. The results of this study can show that: 1). Principal planning carried out at SD Negeri Kalenpandan Pamulihan Brebes in improving teacher discipline includes: a). Planning rules b). Teacher performance planning c). Guidance and direction planning. This planning is carried out in order to discipline the teacher in the morning apple, come to school, and enter teaching hours 2). Organizing principals in improving teacher discipline by holding teacher coaching once every month. 3). The implementation of the principal in improving teacher discipline is to form cooperation with teachers, provide direct direction, and provide opportunities and opportunities for teachers to improve performance professionalism. 4). Evaluation of the principal in improving teacher discipline is seen from the teacher's development in implementing discipline in the school is already running or not, which will then be evaluated in a meeting with the teacher. Abstract

Syaikh Mutamakkin is one of the Javanese scholars that uses a local culture method as a media to spread Islam in Indonesia. It’s a method used Syaikh Mutamakkin written in the book of Pakem Kajen, a writing Pegon Javanese language that is a controversy for Javanese Islamic Scholars, in the end, must be tried in the Surakarta Keraton. The method used by Syaikh Mutamakkin is very interesting to research because he teaches Islam to society by Javanese anthropology that it’s a Sufism concept used Javanese traditional clothes analogy. The writer uses a semiotic approach because the analogy of Syaikh Mutamakkin is symbols of traditional clothes.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menelaah apakah terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa SMP yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan pendekatan induktif berbantuan program Cabri Geometry dan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan pendekatan induktif tanpa bantuan program Cabri Geometry. Penelitian ini merupakan studi eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Pretest-Posttest Group Design yaitu desain kelompok pembanding pretes/postes. Dalam penelitian ini diambil dua kelas yang homogen dengan perlakuan berbeda. Kelas eksperimen adalah kelas yang memperoleh pembelajaran geometri dengan pendekatan induktif berbantuan program Cabri Geometry dan kelas kontrol adalah kelas yang memperoleh pembelajaran geometri dengan pendekatan induktif tanpa bantuan program Cabri Geometry. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan temuan selama penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan representasi matematis antara siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran geometri dengan pendekatan induktif berbantuan program CG dan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran geometri dengan pendekatan induktif tanpa bantuan program CG.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritismahasiswa melalui pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan pendekatanmetakognitif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan atas dasar pentingnya kemampuan berpikirkritis untuk dimiliki mahasiswa, namun kenyataan di lapangan masih menunjukkanbahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis ini masih tergolong rendah. Penelitian eksperimendengan desain yang digunakan adalah desain kelompok kontrol pretes-postes. Subjekpenelitian adalah mahasiswa PGSD UPI Kampus Sumedang Provinsi Jawa Baratsebagai kelompok eksperimen, dan mahasiswa PGSD UPI Kampus Serang ProvinsiBanten sebagai kelompok kontrol. Pada kelompok eksperimen, mahasiswamendapatkan pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan metakognitif, sedangkanpada kelompok kontrol, mahasiswa mendapatkan pembelajaran konvensional. Untukmemperoleh data dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan instrumen berupa teskemampuan berpikir kritis, angket skala sikap mahasiswa,pedomanwawancara,lembar observasi,jurnal,dan daftar isian untuk dosen. Analisis datadilakukan secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Analisis kuantitatif dilakukan terhadap hasiltes untuk melihat perbedaan rerata antara dua kelompok sampel. Sedangkan analisiskualitatif digunakan untuk menelaah aktivitas pembelajaran, sikap mahasiswa danpandangan dosen terhadap pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan. Berdasarkan hasilanalisis, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa: Kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa yangbelajar dengan menggunakan pendekatan metakognitif lebih baik daripadamahasiswa yang belajar secara konvensional.
