Abstract

Adolescence is a crucial period where individuals begin to build their self-identity in determining the direction of their lives, especially in grade XII students. Where this condition often causes anxiety, self-doubt, feelings of boredom, and social pressure, one important aspect that influences an individual's ability to adapt and resilience to these challenges is self-efficacy. Someone with high self-efficacy is usually more optimistic, resilient, and able to overcome challenges to achieve their goals. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of expressive writing techniques in improving self-efficacy. Participants in this study were 34 students, who were divided into two groups, namely the control group and the experimental group. The experimental group was given treatment in the form of expressive writing. This study used a Quasi-Experimental research type with a Two-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Data analysis used in this study was processed using Jamovi software. While the data analysis method used was the paired test and independent sample T-Test. Based on the results of the analysis of the pretest and posttest scores of the experimental group, a significant value of 0.280 (p> 0.05) was shown, which means there was no significant difference in the level of students' self-efficacy after treatment. Thus, it can be concluded that expressive writing treatment can improve students' self-efficacy.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the typology of imlā’ (orthography) errors in Arabic writing skills among students at MTs Uswatun Hasanah. A descriptive quantitative method was employed, utilizing error analysis techniques on 30 students. Data were collected through writing tests, yielding a corpus of 120 identified errors classified into ten orthographic categories. The findings reveal that the most dominant error is the inability to distinguish between visually similar letters (تشابه الحروف), accounting for 21.67% of total errors. Other significant findings include incorrect dot placement (18.33%) and violations of letter-connection rules (22.5%), while the omission of diacritical marks (harakat) recorded the lowest frequency (3.33%). This study concludes that students' writing problems are primarily visual and mechanical, indicating weak grapheme perception and motor coordination. These findings contribute to Arabic pedagogy by recommending strategic interventions such as directed writing activities and continuous written feedback to reduce orthographic errors at the secondary education level.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the role of the principal's transformational leadership in developing a religious culture in schools. Transformational leadership is viewed as an effective leadership model for creating positive change through role modeling, inspirational motivation, empowerment, and personal attention. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study method, conducted at Lemahabang 01 Public Elementary School, Tanjung District, Brebes Regency. Subjects included the principal, teachers, students, and the school committee. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation studies. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles & Huberman model, which encompasses data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and verification. The results indicate that the principal successfully implemented transformational leadership in strengthening a religious culture through four main dimensions: idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration. Various strategies were implemented to build a religious culture, including integrating Islamic values into the school's vision and programs, promoting religious activities, empowering teachers, creating a religious environment, and collaborating with parents and the community. Supporting factors for implementation include stakeholder commitment, religious facilities, and external collaboration, while barriers include time constraints, differences in religious backgrounds, and external cultural influences. The study concluded that transformational leadership is relevant to Islamic leadership principles such as uswah hasanah (good character), syura (shariah), amanah (trustworthiness), and tarbiyah (educational guidance), and is effective in creating schools with an Islamic character and religious culture.
