Abstract

Unsafe behavior when carrying out work, such as ignoring or not using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), has the potential to cause serious risks that can lead to death or material loss. Personal Protective Equipment itself is a device or equipment specifically designed to provide protection to the worker's body from various hazards that may occur during work activities, especially in high-risk environments such as the construction sector. Therefore, this research aims to conduct an in-depth literature review of the various factors that influence the level of compliance of construction workers in using PPE correctly and consistently while carrying out their duties. This study conducted a research method in the form of Literature Review.  The source of this research database is taken from Google Schoolar, Google Book, and Pubmed. This research was compiled from March 2025 to April 2025. The sources of this research meet the Inclusion Criteria, namely all sources used have been published in journals, are open access, and use Indonesian and English. The sources of this study were taken with a time frame of the last five years, starting from 2020 to 2024. The results of the Literature Review show that Age, Education, Knowledge, Behavior, OHS Facilities, HSE Inspection (Supervision), PPE Comfort, and OHS Policy have a significant relationship with the Behavior of Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in Construction Workers. However, there is an insignificant relationship with the Working Period. It is hoped that these efforts will improve safety and reduce the risk of work accidents on construction sites.

Abstract

Background: Children who are abused are prone to delayed growth and development, including the development of independent Activities Daily Living (ADL). Self-help skills are motor skills that can help children to fulfill basic needs independently through Activities Daily Living (ADL). Therefore, adults around them, including caregivers in orphanages, need to teach self-help skills to improve children's ADL independence. Objectives: This study aims to determine the effect of self-help skills on Activities Daily Living (bathing, brushing teeth, personal hygiene, toileting, dressing, and eating) independence in pre-school children with child abuse which is measured by ADLIC (Activities of Daily Living Iranian Children). Methods: Respondents in this study were pre-school children with child abuse who were given self-help skills with a total of 36 respondents divided into intervention and control groups. The research design used a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group pre-post test. The bivariate analysis used in bathing, brushing teeth, personal hygiene, and toileting variables was paired t-test, while the variables of dressing and eating was used Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Results: The p-value result in the intervention group is 0.000 (<0.05) which indicates that there is a difference in ADL ability from before and after the intervention. In the control group, the p-value> 0.05 was obtained, indicating that there was no difference between ADL abilities before and after. There is a significant average increase in the intervention group compared to the control group. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that there are average increase in the independence of Activities Daily Living (ADL) in pre-school children with child abuse in the intervention group after being given treatment in the form of self-help skills. Therefore, it is hoped that all parties involved in the care of children with a history of child abuse are able to minimize the impact that occurs due to child abuse and understand the concept of self-help skills that support the development of the independence of ADL.

Abstract

Abstract

This study analyzes the causes of pending BPJS Kesehatan claims at Melania Bogor Hospital, emphasizing the complex interplay of human resources, document completeness, and operational procedures. The research identifies that a significant factor contributing to pending claims is the limited capacity of the Casemix team, with only one member having received external training in claims coding. Additionally, inaccuracies in medical documentation, such as unclear diagnoses and incomplete supporting documents, hinder the claims process. The absence of a comprehensive hospital information system (SIMRS) for automatic validation further exacerbates the issue. The findings reveal that pending claims not only disrupt the hospital's cash flow but also increase the workload for administrative staff, leading to delays in service provision. This research underscores the need for improved training, enhanced documentation practices, and better integration of digital systems to ensure timely processing of claims and maintain the quality of health services.
