Abstract

One of the important physical components in the game of basketball is power, which can be achieved by using the muscles ability to produce maximum strength in a short time. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of TRX suspension exercises on increasing arm muscle strength in basketball. The method used is an experiment using the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. This research was conducted on UPI women's basketball UKM athletes with the total sampling method. The data collection technique was carried out by conducting a pre-test on 15 people as samples. The instrument used to measure the power ability of the arm muscles is the two-hand medicine ball put test. After that, the samples were given the TRX suspension training treatment. Then carry out the post-test using the instrument for the two-hand medicine ball put test. The data analysis technique uses parametric statistics with normal and homogeneous-oriented samples. The results of the hypothesis test stated that T count was greater than T table, meaning that the research hypothesis was accepted, specifically that TRX suspension training exercises had a significant effect on arm muscle power. The research recommendation is that TRX suspension training exercises can be used as an alternative to train arm muscle power.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the profile of aerobic endurance, maximum strength, power and endurance of MMA athletes at the Iron Sheep Club, Garut Regency. The components measured were components of physical condition, namely aerobic endurance, maximum strength, explosive power and strength endurance. This type of research is descriptive research. The method used is a survey, with data collection techniques using tests and measurements. The research design uses a simple paradigm using the One-shot method approach. The population in this study were all athletes, totaling 10 people using a total sampling technique. The instruments used are; (1) aerobic endurance was measured using a bleep test in minutes, (2) maximum strength was measured using a bench press test in kilograms, (3) strength was measured using push ups in seconds, (4) strength endurance was measured by pulling ups in units of seconds. Data analysis used descriptive percentage. The results showed that the profile of the physical condition of the MMA athletes at the Iron Sheep Club of Garut Regency was in the very low 10%, low 30%, moderate 40%, high 10% and very high 10% categories.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas perbedaan pengaruh metode tempo dan metode interval menggunakan harness terhadap peningkatan kecepatan berlari pemain softball. Tujuannya untuk meningkatkan kecepatan berlari pemain softball. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode eksperimen dengan desain penelitian two groups pretest posttest design. Populasi merupakan Club LABS Softball/Baseball Bandung yang berjumlah 34 orang. Teknik yang digunakan untuk pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan jumlah 12 orang dengan setiap kelompok masing-masing 6 orang. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan istrumen tes lari 20 meter yang memiiki validitas 0,956 dan reliabilitas 0,924 bertujuan mengukur kecepatan berlari. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji Paired Sample T Test yang menunjukan terdapat perbedaan pengaruh terhadap peningkatan kecepatan berlari. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa kedua metode tersebut menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan kecepatan berlari pemain softball, akan tetapi tidak memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap kecepatan berlari pemain softball. Metode tempo menggunakan harness pada post test 3.6550 < pre test 4.0617 dengan selisih sebesar 0.40667 sedangkan hasil rata-rata metode interval menggunakan harness pada post test 3.2883 < pre test 3.6950 dengan selisih sebesar 0.40667.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari latihan variasi ladder drill terhadap peningkatan kelincahan pada pemain sepak bola. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif eksperimen dengan desain penelitian One Group Pretest Posttest. Populasi yang digunakan adalah siswa Sekolah Sepak Bola Astra Ferona kota Cimahi yang berjumlah 30 siswa, dengan menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu simple random sampling sebanyak 30 siswa. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan tes kelincahan yaitu Illinois agility run test. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah Uji Paired Sample T-test. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara latihan variasi ladder drill terhadap peningkatan kelincahan pada pemain sepak bola dengan nilai signifikasi 0,001 lebih kecil dari 0,05 (Sig. < 0,05).

Abstract

It is known that both leg strength and arm strength have a significant influence on breaststroke swimming speed. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to determine whether there is a significant impact of Pull Down and Alternate Squat exercises together on the 25-meter breaststroke swimming speed. This research method employs a Quasi-Experiment (pseudo-experiment). The sample consists of 10 members of the Bandung City Shining Star SC who can consistently and continuously participate in the training program and already have a foundation in breaststroke swimming. The instrument used is a 25-meter breaststroke swimming test in a 25-meter pool without a poolside start. The research design used in this study is the One Pretest-Posttest Group Design. Data is processed using the t-test to determine whether there is a difference in variables between the pretest and posttest in the experimental group. The results of the research indicate a significant impact of Pull Down and Alternate Squat exercises together on the 25-meter breaststroke swimming speed.

Abstract

Background Problems: Judo is a sport that requires aerobic and anaerobic abilities. This is because the scoring in judo matches is different from other martial arts, where athletes will look for absolute 'ippon' points in one match. Therefore, training is needed that can support increasing aerobic and anaerobic capacity in judo athletes. Endurance training at high altitudes is a training method that is believed to have benefits for athletes' aerobic and aerobic capacity. Research Objectives: The study aims to examine the effect of endurance training on increasing the anaerobic and aerobic capacity of judo athletes based on the Special Judo Fitness Test (SJFT), which is a specific test for the sport of judo that can describe anaerobic and aerobic fitness according to the needs of judo. Methods: This research was conducted in the Puncak area of West Java, which is included in the highlands. An experimental method was used in this research on twenty-four Indonesian elite judo athletes who are carrying out training camps to face the SEA Games in Vietnam in 2021. The t test using SPSS Version 24 was used for data analysis in this study. Findings and Results: The results showed that there was a significant increase in anaerobic and aerobic capacity at high altitudes in judo athletes, as seen from the SJFT. Conclusion: This study concluded that endurance training could increase the anaerobic and aerobic capacity of judo athletes in the highlands. Endurance training at high altitudes for judo athletes is highly recommended because it has been proven to have a significant effect on increasing anaerobic and aerobic capacity. We recommend that judo coaches carry out training at high altitudes because it has been proven to improve the aerobic and anaerobic abilities of judo athletes.

Abstract

Banyak terjadi turn over atau kegagalan mencetak angka saat melakukan lay-up shoot. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis latihan pliometrik single leg dan double leg terhadap peningkatan power tungkai pada hasil lay-up shoot. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen. Sampel berjumlah 36 orang yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik total sampling. Instrumen pada penelitian ini menggunakan tes vertical jump untuk power tungkai dan tes lay-up shoot untuk tes kemampuan lay-up shoot. Teknik analisi data yang digunakan yaitu teknik ANAVA. Hasil pada penelitian ini menyatakan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan latihan pliometrik terhadap peningkatan hasil lay-up shoot. Kedua, tidak terdapat interaksi antara latihan pliometrik dengan kualitas power tungkai pada peningkatan hasil lay-up shoot. Ketiga, tidak terdapat perbedaan pengaruh yang signifikan antara latihan pliometrik single leg dan double leg pada kelompok power tungkai yang tinggi. Keempat, tidak terdapat perbedaan pengaruh antara latihan pliometrik single leg dan double leg pada peningkatan hasil lay-up shoot pada kelompok power tungkai yang rendah. Implikasi penelitian ini yaitu latihan pliometrik single leg dan double leg terhadap power tungkai pada peningkatan hasil lay-up shoot.

Abstract

The youth sports system is a complex ecosystem involving various stakeholders, including coaches, teammates, sports organizations, and parents. Parental involvement should not be viewed in isolation but in relation to other elements within this system. For example, parent-coach interactions can influence the motivational climate, which shapes young athletes' perceptions and behaviors. Moreover, individual factors such as parents’ beliefs and values toward sports impact how they engage in their children’s athletic experiences. Excessive expectations may create pressure and reduce enjoyment, while supportive parenting is linked to greater intrinsic motivation and satisfaction in youth. Adolescents’ developmental stages also play a critical role. As adolescents undergo physical, cognitive, and psychosocial changes, their needs and responses to parental involvement evolve. Older adolescents may seek greater autonomy, requiring parents to adjust their involvement accordingly. This literature review aims to synthesize research on parental involvement in youth sports, considering the dynamic interactions between parents, adolescents, coaches, and sports organizations. By integrating developmental and contextual perspectives, this review seeks to offer a comprehensive understanding of how parental involvement shapes youth sports experiences. The findings are expected to inform best practices that support positive youth development through appropriately tailored parental engagement in sports.

Abstract

Basketball is a team sport that requires good technical components. Meanwhile, research that reveals technical components based on playing positions is still minimal. Therefore, through this research, researchers want to identify technical components based on point guard, shooting guard, small forward, power forward, and center playing positions. The research method is quantitative descriptive research with a retrospective causal comparative design or ex-post factor design. The research subjects were 20 male basketball athletes and 20 female basketball athletes, consisting of 8 point guards, 8 shooting guards, 8 small forwards, 8 power forwards, and 8 centers. The instruments used are the Passing Skills Test, the Under Ring Skills Test, the Shooting Skills Test, the Lay Up Shoot Skills Test, and the Dribbling Skills Test. After the data was collected, data analysis was one-way ANOVA using SPSS for calculations. The results of the research show that there are differences in the techniques for each playing position in basketball athletes.

Abstract

Archery has a goal: to release an arrow to the center point of the intended target and master perfect archery techniques that will produce complex and beautiful movements. In addition, archery also requires consistent movements, practice, and competition. This study examines the relationship between arm muscle strength and archery accuracy. This study is a descriptive study involving 10 archery athletes from West Java. The pull hand-held dynamometer instrument and a 10-meter archery accuracy test were used in this study. The Shapiro-Wilk test and Spearman rank correlation were used for data analysis. The study showed a significant relationship between arm muscle strength and archery accuracy. In can be concluded that there is a substantial relationship with a weak and unidirectional correlation between arm muscle strength and archery accuracy. The author sees that arm muscle strength is related to archery accuracy, so arm muscle strength must be trained as well as possible to achieve a high archery accuracy score.
