Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas peran strategis dry port dalam mengoptimalkan sistem logistik multimoda berbasis kereta api dan truk di Indonesia. Latar belakang penelitian ini berangkat dari tingginya biaya logistik nasional dan ketimpangan distribusi barang yang masih terpusat pada pelabuhan utama. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kontribusi dry port dalam mempercepat proses distribusi, mengurangi beban pelabuhan laut, serta meningkatkan efisiensi logistik secara keseluruhan. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif melalui studi literatur dan analisis dokumen resmi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi moda kereta api dan truk melalui dry port seperti Cikarang Dry Port mampu menurunkan waktu pengiriman, mengurangi kemacetan, serta menekan biaya distribusi barang. Namun, implementasi sistem ini masih menghadapi tantangan seperti keterbatasan infrastruktur, kurangnya integrasi sistem informasi logistik, dan kebijakan yang belum optimal. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pengembangan dry port yang terintegrasi secara sistemik dan kolaboratif dapat menjadi solusi jangka panjang untuk menciptakan sistem logistik nasional yang efisien, inklusif, dan kompetitif.

Abstract

Perkembangan kota-kota besar yang pesat menimbulkan tantangan besar dalam sektor transportasi, terutama terkait kemacetan, polusi, dan efisiensi mobilitas. Transportasi multimoda yang terintegrasi berbasis teknologi menjadi solusi potensial untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut dengan menggabungkan berbagai moda transportasi secara efektif dan efisien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan teknologi dalam integrasi sistem transportasi multimoda guna mendukung mobilitas berkelanjutan di wilayah perkotaan. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dan analisis kasus pada beberapa kota yang telah mengimplementasikan sistem transportasi multimoda berbasis teknologi, seperti penggunaan aplikasi mobile, sistem tiket elektronik, dan platform manajemen rute terpadu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi transportasi multimoda yang didukung teknologi mampu meningkatkan kenyamanan pengguna, mengurangi waktu perjalanan, serta menurunkan emisi gas rumah kaca. Namun, tantangan dalam hal koordinasi antar penyedia jasa dan infrastruktur masih perlu mendapatkan perhatian lebih lanjut. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pengembangan kebijakan dan investasi teknologi yang lebih masif untuk mewujudkan sistem transportasi multimoda yang berkelanjutan dan ramah lingkungan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji peran kereta api logistik dalam mendukung tahap awal (first mile) distribusi ekspor di Indonesia. Fokus utama diarahkan pada kontribusi moda rel terhadap efisiensi logistik melalui peningkatan volume angkutan, integrasi multimoda, dan penguatan infrastruktur. Menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif berbasis studi dokumenter, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa volume peti kemas yang diangkut kereta api meningkat sebesar 12,9% dari tahun 2022 ke 2023. Temuan ini mengindikasikan pergeseran preferensi pelaku logistik terhadap moda yang lebih stabil dan berkapasitas tinggi. Meskipun demikian, pemanfaatan kereta api masih menghadapi kendala seperti keterbatasan akses ke kawasan industri dan kurangnya sinkronisasi antarmoda. Studi ini merekomendasikan perluasan jaringan rel, insentif fiskal, serta digitalisasi sistem logistik sebagai langkah strategis untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan keberlanjutan sistem ekspor nasional.

Abstract

Permasalahan efisiensi pengiriman barang seperti kemacetan, waktu pengiriman yang lama, overload di pelabuhan, dan keterlambatan distribusi menjadi tantangan utama dalam logistik. Penelitian ini mengusulkan integrasi sistem transportasi multimoda di mana truk langsung dimuat ke kereta api atau kapal tanpa proses bongkar muat konvensional. Pendekatan ini mengurangi ketergantungan pada crane, mempercepat waktu pengiriman, dan menekan biaya logistik. Analisis dilakukan melalui studi literatur dan simulasi perbandingan biaya serta waktu pengiriman antara sistem konvensional dan multimoda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi transportasi multimoda dapat meningkatkan efisiensi hingga 30% dalam waktu pengirimandan 25% dalam pengurangan biaya logistik.

Abstract

This study examines air cargo capacity management strategies in the post-COVID-19 era, focusing on the role of multimodal air freight forwarding. The imbalance between rising shipment demand and limited carrying capacity remains a major challenge for the global logistics industry. The study aims to analyze the impacts of the air cargo capacity crisis, assess multimodal strategies as adaptive solutions, and explore capacity management challenges in Indonesia. A descriptive qualitative method was applied using literature study, based on secondary data from international institution reports, academic journals, and national statistics. The results show that integrating sea, land, and air modes supported by data-driven management systems improves the efficiency of global air cargo capacity management. At the national level, strengthening domestic multimodal infrastructure is essential for enhancing capacity management efficiency in Indonesia. This research contributes to industrial engineering development in adaptive data-based multimodal logistics capacity management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of multimodal transportation and freight forwarding in optimizing the Crude Palm Oil (CPO) supply chain in Indonesia, including logistical challenges, transportation mode efficiency, and the impact of digital technology and government regulations. Employing a descriptive qualitative method with a systematic literature review, the research findings indicate that multimodal transportation and freight forwarding are crucial for logistics cost efficiency, despite facing implementation hurdles such as fragmentation and manual processes. The upstream CPO supply chain is fragmented with inadequate infrastructure, yet shorter distribution patterns and company-managed transportation prove more efficient. Technologies like the Internet of Things (IoT) and blockchain hold significant potential to enhance transparency and efficiency. In conclusion, optimizing the CPO supply chain necessitates infrastructure investment, farmer empowerment, regulatory refinement, and widespread adoption of digital technologies to achieve Indonesia's Logistics Vision 2025.

Abstract

Abstract: The article on the implementation of transportation, warehouse and distribution on supply chain management is an article within the scope of operational management science. The purpose of this study is to build a hypothesis regarding the influence between variables that can later be used for further research within the scope of operational management. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The data collection technique uses literature studies/literature reviews. Data were obtained from previous studies that are relevant to this study and sourced from academic online media such as Publish or Perish, Google Scholar, Jurnal Sinta, DOAJ and Garuda. The results of this study are as follows: 1) Transportation affects supply chain management; 2) Warehouses affect supply chain management; and 3) Distribution affects supply chain management. Abstract

Indonesia's logistics costs remain high, at around 23-24% of PDB, well above the global average and that of other Southeast Asian countries, reducing national competitiveness. Land transportation contributes about 50% of domestic logistics costs. Multimodal transportation-combining multiple modes under one contract-is an efficient solution by simplifying administration and lowering costs. The national logistics system (Sislognas) continues to be developed through technology investment and stakeholder collaboration. Initiatives such as the National Logistics Ecosystem (NLE) and Indonesia National Single Window (INSW) 2.0 accelerate administrative processes and reduce waiting times at ports, thereby helping to reduce logistics costs. The transformation of INSW into Lembaga National Single Window (LNSW) strengthens the integration and coordination of the national logistics system. With multimodal and digitized processes, logistics cost efficiency is expected to improve, supporting Indonesia's economic growth and competitiveness.

Abstract

Multimodal transportation, which involves the use of two or more modes of transport under a single contract, has evolved into the backbone of global supply chain efficiency. This journal presents an in-depth analysis of the theoretical foundation, operational principles, as well as the strategic implications and challenges in the implementation of multimodality, based on a synthesis of literature from leading experts in the fields of logistics and transportation. The discussion includes the central role of containerization, the development of transshipment infrastructure, the adoption of information technology, as well as the regulatory and policy frameworks that support it. The main focus is on how multimodality fundamentally changes the paradigm of goods movement, from fragmented to integrated, in order to achieve cost, time, reliability, and sustainability optimization.

Abstract

Transportation in Indonesia faces challenges of congestion, high costs, and uneven infrastructure. Information technology is essential for developing an integrated multimodal land transportation system to improve efficiency, transparency, and data management. A systematic literature review (2010-2025) shows that IoT, GPS, ITS, real-time tracking, EDI, Big Data, and AI improve operational performance. Case studies reveal the great potential of IT, despite infrastructure, human resources, and interoperability constraints. Regulations support digitization, but more coordination and investment is needed. Recommendations include infrastructure improvement, human resource development, standardization, and collaboration among stakeholders for an efficient and sustainable transportation system. Optimal implementation of information technology will be key to the success of national transportation transformation.
