Abstract

This study examined at the effects of ethical leadership, job chracteristics, and individual factors on airline employees’ job satisfaction. It makes use of samples of the airline employees from a Indonesia airline company. From the results of structural equation modelling analysis, ethical leadership and job chracteristics were found positive effect on airline employees’ job satisfaction as well as ethical leadership were found positive effect on airline employees’ job chracteristics. In addition, leaders are also more likely to choose employees who are able to work independently and see the value of their own work and work with an ethical environment.

Abstract

PT. Sriwijaya Air is one of the national airline was established on November 10, 2003. The paper  purpose is to analyze the degree of correspondence between the performance of flight services operations officer with customer expectations (pilot) PT. Sriwijaya Air, using qualitative methods, while data analysis using the five-dimensional approach, and Cartesian diagram. The analysis shows the level of implementation of quality of service with the average performance of 4.42. Level expectations or interests of customers / pilot average of 4.69, which means that the service performance of flight operations officer told the pilots are considered very important to be well run. At the level of concordance between the implementation of services to the benefit of customers amounted to 94.19%, based on the interpretation table can be interpreted pilots are very satisfied with the performance of flight operations officer PT. Sriwijaya Air.

Abstract

Train is an effective vehicle to transport large cargo in a long distance trip though it still needs other transport (multimode transport) to load and unload the cargo. PT. KALOG (Kereta Logistik) is a new comer in the industry but considered to be a good and viably counted in the cargo transport industry. Based on the company information, this achievement could be reached due to its qualified human resources though it does not have, yet, occupied equipment and facilities. This study is aimed at finding out the strategies of the company in gaining the popularity among other logistic transport companies. This study is using qualitative and SWOT analysis. Based on the result, PT. KALOG is in the first quadrant which shows that the best strategy to be applied is Growth Oriented Strategy or Strategi SO.
