Abstract

YouTube is not only a platform that individuals share, upload, comment on videos; but also teachers and educators can make practical and effective use of it to the best as great that students can have more an advantage or profit gained. This study aims to carry out a systematic or formal inquiry to discover and examine the facts of how active and distinguished YouTube can be in the educational process and how it is beneficial for language teachers to enhance the skills of students. The study exhibits different theoretical frameworks that equip the employment of technology to increase the learning/teaching process. In using multimedia, video clips used to develop teachers’ abilities for using technology in classrooms. The objectives of this research are to give knowledgeably and clear explanations about teaching students’ listening skills through English video. The researcher emerges a questionnaire and applies it to third-semester of college students, Ma’soem University to give confirmation and show the advantages of technology in the academic field. The paper investigates classes where computers can be utilized, and also appear the defiance that faces teachers and educators regarding this application. The researchers terminated that YouTube is a necessary tool in classrooms as it appeals to the attention of students and envolves their mentality and creativity. It also assists cover the materials exhaustive, especially language. YouTube leads the fun element into classes, through meet the interests of students. Equivalent findings have a remarkable impact on the learning process as the students will realize the educational environment more uplift and inspire. Besides, they notice the material presented worth studying, and this method, they would admire the attempt expend in explaining the information. The research aspires to be of worth to teachers for the operation of technology and students to have a superior apprehension of the materials extend.

Abstract

This research discussed about the analysis of directives type of speech act theory used in the Up (2009) movie. This research revealed the application of directives types of speech act that found in the Up (2009) movie. The document analysis approach was used in this study to gather data. The researcher chose this film as the subject of the study because it is intriguing and has numerous moral lessons. This film's themes include love, relationships between people, hope, and dreams. As the result, it was found that were 57 utterances of directive speech acts in the Up (2009) movie. From the 57 data that researcher collected, the main characters most expressed the  command type of directives speech act. They are 38 commands, 3 suggestions, 3 requests, 6 orders, forbidding. Based all the data above, it can be concluded the most used directives speech act found in this data was command.

Abstract

Pendidikan anak usia dini merupakan salah satu tahapan mendasar dalam kehidupan seseorang, khususnya anak-anak. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan siswa mewarnai guna meningkatkan motorik halus mereka. Metode yang dilakukan adalah melalui pendekatan yang terstruktur dan menyenangkan dengan menyisipkan permainan agar pembelajaran berjalan efektif dan  menyenangkan serta peserta dapat memahami serta mempraktikkan materi dengan baik. Berdasarkan hasil pelatihan yang dilaksanakan pada anak-anak kelas B1 TK Kemala Bhayangkari 43 Jatinangor, ada tiga aspek yang diamati melalui kegiatan mewarnai gambar dalam meningkatkan motorik halus. Yang pertama yaitu aspek memegang pensil warna/krayon. Aspek yang kedua adalah gerakan memoles warna. Dan yang terakhir adalah aspek koordinasi gerakan mata dan tangan saat mewarnai.  Berdasarkan hasil pelatihan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode mewarnai tersebut berpengaruh positif terhadap motorik halus pada anak. Aktivitas ini terbukti sangat menyenangkan bagi anak, karena melalui pembelajaran mewarnai, mereka dapat bereksplorasi dengan berbagai warna yang mereka kenali

Abstract

This research aims to identify the difficulties students experience in speaking English. A qualitative descriptive method was used to investigate these challenges by distributing questionnaires and conducting interview sessions. The study was conducted at a junior high school in Bandung, with eighth-grade students as the research participants. To gather valuable data, 26 students were selected using purposive sampling. The findings revealed that students face several difficulties in learning to speak English, including challenges with understanding grammar, fluency, pronunciation, limited vocabulary, lack of self-confidence, shyness, anxiety, and lack of motivation. Additionally, it is implied that by addressing the root causes of these difficulties, such as fear and lack of motivation, teachers can help enhance students' ability to communicate effectively in English.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan apa yang dimaksud dengan aphasia, gangguan bahasa serta kesulitan apa saja yang dihadapi penderita aphasia dalam berinteraksi atau menggunakan bahasa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dan observasi terhadap satu orang dewasa yang menderita aphasia sejak terserang stroke pada tahun 2021 akibat gaya hidup tidak sehat sehingga membuatnya kesulitan dalam menggunakan bahasa. Peneliti menemukan bahwa penderita aphasia ini mempunya pemahaman yang tidak lengkap, kelancarannya terpengaruh dan pengulangan serta penamaan benda pun terpengaruh. Selain itu pun, dapat disimpulkan jika ada 6 jenis afasia yaitu anomic aphasia, global aphasia, primary progressive aphasia, wernicke’s aphasia, broca’s aphasia dan transcortica sensory aphasia.

Abstract

This study explores the classification of English-speaking anxiety levels and identifies the underlying factors contributing to speaking anxiety among EFL undergraduate students. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, using two main instruments: a questionnaire adapted from Horwitz et al.’s (1986) Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale (FLCAS) and semi-structured interviews that provided deeper insights into students’ perspectives and experiences. The participants were 24 students from an English Education program. The findings revealed that the majority of students (75%) experienced moderate anxiety, while 16.67% showed low anxiety and 8.33% high anxiety. These outcomes reflect a complex interplay of anxiety dimensions: Fear of Negative Evaluation was the most prominent factor (M = 2.47), followed by Communication Apprehension (M = 2.37), and Test Anxiety as the least influential (M = 2.24). The overall results indicate that speaking anxiety was present but not overwhelmingly severe among participants. The study highlights the importance of understanding both the frequency and sources of anxiety, as such insights can inform strategies to foster supportive and non-judgmental classroom environments. Creating these conditions may encourage students to develop greater confidence, enhance oral performance, and reduce their speaking anxiety in EFL contexts.

Abstract

Penulisan makalah akademis merupakan hal yang sangat penting dalam dunia akademik, dimana para peneliti, siswa, dan cendekiawan perlu mengelola, merujuk, dan mengutip berbagai sumber pendukung. Namun, secara umum penulisan makalah akademis sulit dilakukan karena sulitnya mencari referensi terkait topik penelitian, terbatasnya kemampuan TIK, dan mengolah teks sedemikian rupa agar tidak dianggap plagiarisme. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk membantu siswa SMA di Bandung dalam memanfaatkan manajemen referensi Mendeley untuk menulis makalah akademik yang mematuhi kaidah penulisan yang baik dan bebas plagiarisme. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini adalah penelitian tindakan partisipatif (PAR), atau penelitian tindakan yang memerlukan partisipasi. Penelitian tindakan langsung yang dipilih oleh dosen pembimbing bertujuan untuk mengungkap permasalahan yang dihadapi siswa pada saat menulis makalah akademik. Temuan konsultasi menunjukkan bahwa hal ini mempunyai dampak menguntungkan dalam meningkatkan kemahiran siswa dalam membuat makalah akademis yang tepat dan akurat melalui kutipan.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan membaca puisi siswa kelas VIII MTs Asy-Syifa Kabupaten Bandung Barat melalui kegiatan pelatihan yang terstruktur. Pelatihan dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahapan, yaitu pemberian materi, praktik, dan penilaian. Materi yang diberikan mencakup enam aspek penting dalam membaca puisi, yakni apresiasi, pemenggalan, pelafalan, intonasi, ekspresi, dan gerak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara teoretis siswa telah mampu memahami konsep membaca puisi. Dari hasil penilaian, aspek pelafalan dan pemenggalan memperoleh nilai tertinggi, sementara aspek intonasi dan ekspresi masih menjadi kelemahan utama siswa. Secara umum, seluruh siswa memperoleh nilai di atas Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) 75. Dengan demikian, pelatihan membaca puisi yang dilaksanakan dinilai efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan siswa, meskipun perlu adanya tindak lanjut berupa latihan intensif pada aspek intonasi dan ekspresi agar keterampilan membaca puisi siswa lebih optimal.

Abstract

The objective of this Community Service Program is to enhance the Human Resources (HR) capacity of Village Officials in Bandung Regency in website management as a fundamental step towards implementing the Smart Village concept. The activity was motivated by a significant digital gap where village websites were often neglected, not up-to-date, and thus hindered the principle of transparency. This PkM activity was conducted from July 07, 2025, to August 18, 2025, in Narawita Village, Cicalengka District, Bandung Regency, involving representatives of Village Officials, including the Village Secretary and the village IT team. The method employed was Participatory Action Research, commencing with a Needs Analysis (FGD and Pre-Test), followed by the creation of a new website using Visual Studio Code, and cyclical Testing (Uji Coba) with consultation from village stakeholders. The core phase involved Intensive Training for transferring skills in basic web maintenance, digital content literacy, and promotional strategies. The results demonstrate a dual success: first, the creation of a stable and functional website (https://sistem-informasi-desa-narawita-blzu.vercel.app/) equipped with transparency and promotional modules; second, a significant increase in the competency of Village Officials in managing content independently, supported by continuous knowledge transfer. This success was consolidated by the development of a Website Management SOP, ensuring the project's sustainability and transforming local human resources. Overall, this Community Service successfully laid the foundation for Smart Governance and Smart Economy, asserting that intervention in HR capacity is the main key to realizing the Smart Village vision in Bandung Regency.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan mengatasi rendahnya kemampuan fonologi (pengucapan) siswa SMA Binar Ilmu , yang disebabkan oleh fokus pembelajaran yang masih menitikberatkan pada tata bahasa dan kosa kata, serta minimnya pemanfaatan media interaktif. Sebagai solusi, program ini menggunakan Media Audio Interaktif yang dirancang khusus untuk penguatan fonologi, dengan konten yang berfokus pada latihan minimal pairs dan word stress. Metodologi pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif yang diawali dengan analisis kebutuhan fonologi siswa, diikuti implementasi program yang menempatkan siswa sebagai subjek aktif. Siswa didorong melakukan praktik pengucapan mandiri, self-correction, dan membandingkan pelafalan menggunakan fitur rekam suara pada media. Hasil evaluasi akhir (post-test) menunjukkan bahwa media audio interaktif sangat efektif dan mampu meningkatkan kemampuan fonologi serta akurasi pengucapan siswa SMA Binar Ilmu secara signifikan. Keberhasilan ini membuktikan bahwa media interaktif yang menyediakan latihan berulang dan umpan balik akustik sangat direkomendasikan sebagai solusi pedagogis yang tepat guna untuk mengatasi permasalahan pengucapan di tingkat SMA.
