Abstract

Pearl Catfish (Clarias gariepinus) is a type of freshwater fish that is widely cultivated by many people because of its economic value. Pearl catfish is a new strain of African catfish Clarias gariepinus Burchell, 1822 superior breeding results of the Sukamandi Fish Breeding Research Agency (BPPI) which has been declared passed in the Type / Variety Release Assessment on October 27, 2014, under the name MUTIARA (Peerless High Quality) catfish. This study aims to determine the effect of the addition of duckweed on feed on the growth and survival of pearl catfish fry. The test fish is a pearl catfish measuring 7-10 cm long and weighing 6 gr that is kept in a sized aquarium (120 cm x 50 cm x 40 cm), as many as 9 aquariums, three aquariums as a control, three aquariums for treatment A, three aquariums for treatment B, with each treatment A(5% dry duckweed), treatment B (10% dry duckweed) and treatment K (control) without treatment. . The results showed that dry dukweed can be used as an addition to fish feed, of the three feeds that provide the best growth, namely in the B treatment (10% dry duckweed) has a daily growth rate (GR) of 0.41 g, Specific Growth Rate 2,57%, absolute weight 19 g, absolute length is 11.31 cm with a survival of 90%.

Abstract

Vannamei shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) are one of the mainstays of Indonesia's aquaculture sector, which has great export potential. The development of Millennium Shrimp Farming (MSF) or millennial generation of shrimp farming means that the younger generation is encouraged to actively farm shrimp in a millennial way with the concept of cultivation using small amounts of land, low salinity and maximizing the regulation of water quality. Water quality in vannamei shrimp cultivation is managed by utilizing the application of probiotics and plankton growth. Plankton plays an important role in aquaculture, as natural food and an indicator of the fertility and stability of water bodies. Plankton itself is one of the main components in the food chain system and food web in vannamei shrimp cultivation. The aim of this research was to determine the type of plankton found in the vannamei shrimp ponds of Pangandaran Marine and Fisheries Polytechnic Teaching Factory. The data analysis method used is descriptive quantitative. The test parameters in this research were: plankton abundance, plankton diversity, plankton uniformity and dominance of plankton species found in vannamei shrimp ponds. The results of plankton identification in vannamei shrimp cultivation ponds in Pangandaran Maritime and Fisheries Polytechnic Teaching Factory revealed 7 species of plankton, including: (50-71)% from the Chlorophyta (green algae) group; (16-32)% from the Cyanophyta group (blue-green algae); (2-13)% from the Chrysophyta group (diatoms); 1% from the Phyrrophyta group (dinoflagellates); (2-3)% from the group of protozoa; (1-2)% from the Branchiopoda group and (2-8)% from the Euglenophyta group. The observation results show that the water in vannamei shrimp ponds has moderate biota community stability with plankton uniformity index values ​​under moderate or unstable conditions. Otherwise, there is no individual dominance in the shrimp pond waters.

Abstract

Udang vaname (Litopenaeus vannamei) merupakan komoditas akuakultur bernilai ekonomi tinggi dengan potensi pengembangan yang kompetitif. Pakan menjadi komponen utama dalam kegiatan budidaya karena menyumbang sekitar 60–70% dari total biaya produksi, sehingga pengelolaan pakan yang efektif sangat diperlukan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi usaha. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi penerapan manajemen pakan pada fase pembesaran udang vaname di CV Rejo Royal Vannamei, Banyuwangi, Jawa Timur. Metode penelitian menggunakan observasi langsung terhadap praktik pemberian pakan yang meliputi jenis dan bentuk pakan, ukuran pakan, kandungan nutrisi, dosis pemberian, frekuensi pemberian pakan, teknik pengkayaan pakan, sistem penyimpanan, serta evaluasi efisiensi pakan melalui parameter Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR) dan Efisiensi Pemberian Pakan (EPP). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai Average Body Weight (ABW) berkisar 12,22–12,95 g/ekor dengan Average Daily Growth (ADG) sebesar 0,12–0,31 g/hari. Ukuran udang berkisar 77–81 ekor/kg dengan biomassa 3.384–9.217 kg dan populasi akhir 264.014–440.399 ekor. Tingkat kelangsungan hidup (Survival Rate) berada pada kisaran 83,46–85,86%, sedangkan nilai FCR berkisar 1,22–1,39 dengan EPP sebesar 71,92–81,30%. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa penerapan manajemen pakan yang tepat mampu meningkatkan efisiensi pemanfaatan pakan, mendukung pertumbuhan optimal, serta mempertahankan tingkat kelangsungan hidup udang selama periode pemeliharaan

Abstract

Balai Besar Perikanan Budidaya Laut (BBPBL) Lampung merupakan salah satu unit pelaksana teknis di bidang pengembangan budidaya laut, salah satu peranan BBPBL adalah sebagai pengembangan komoditas budidaya. Guna memenuhi peranan diatas BBPBL mendatangkan induk ikan kakap putih strain Australia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui performa hasil pemijahan ikan kakap putih (Lates calcarifer) strain Lokal dan Australia yang meliputi jumlah telur total, fertilization rate (FR), dan hatching rate (HR). Metode yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan ini adalah metode survei Induk yang digunakan untuk strain Lokal 15 ekor, 5 ekor dan jantan 10 ekor. dan strain Australia 15 ekor, 6 ekor dan jantan 9 ekor. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan informasi jumlah strain Australia pada bulan Maret dengan jumlah telur 2.143.000 butir. Rata- rata ferilization rate tertinggi bulan Mei dengan nilai 85,06%. Rata-rata hatching rate pada strain Australia yaitu 89,83%. Berdasarkan data hasil penelitian, menunjukan performa hasil pemijahan dari strain Australia lebih tinggi berdasarkan data jumlah telur total, fertilization rate (FR), dan hatching rate (HR). Abstract

The productivity of whiteleg shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) cultivation is influenced by technical and non-technical factors. Technical factors include water quality, growth and survival, and feed efficiency. Non-technical factors, such as business analysis and feasibility, are related to cultivation productivity. The study was conducted in Pandeglang, Banten, Indonesia, for three months. Six ponds were observed, each with an area of 2.500 m2, 2.000 m2 and 1.500 m2, with a stocking density of 125 shrimp/m2 . The results showed that water quality was mostly within the optimal range, except for parameters such as brightness, nitrite, ammonium, ammonia, phosphate, Total Organic Matter (TOM), and magnesium. The growth values of Average Body Weight (ABW) and Average Daily Growth (ADG) were very good, with a low mortality rate or high SR, and optimal feed efficiency throughout the pond. The results of the business analysis show a positive value on the productivity of L. vannamei. In general, productivity factors such as water quality, growth and survival, feed efficiency and business analysis are related to biomass production with R2 values, namely: 0.9942 (pond 1), 0.9922 (pond 2), 0.9956 (pond 3), 0.9598 (pond 4), 0.9903 (pond 5) and 0.9844 (pond 6).
