Abstract

Betta fish, one of freshwater ornamental fish aquaculture commodities which has high sale value. Betta fish has various pattern and unique fish fin shape. Cattapa dip was a fish health product consisting of catappa leaves and vitamin C. This product could be use for betta fish cultivation so as not to be attacked by parasites, fungi, bacteria and also for helping the process of betta fish color changing. Cattapa dip could also maintain the stability of the water pH in betta fish cultivation. This product has a shape resembling a tea bag product which is very attractive and unique. This study consisted of 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments given were Treatment A (0.3 gram of catappa leaves and 0.1 gram vitamin C), Treatment B (0.5 gram of catappa leaves and 0.1 gram of vitamin C), Treatment C (0.7 gram of catappa leaves and 0.1 gram of vitamin C) and K treatment / control (without treatment). The parameter observed during the study was the color change of Betta fish (Betta sp) which was measured by the percentage of color change based on RGB (Red Green Blue) using the Color Picker application. The results showed that the treatment with the addition of Kataplus in the form of dip as much as 0.5 gram of ketapang leaves and 0.1 gram of vitamin C was the best treatment. Based on the results of the color changes that occur in treatments A, B, C with 3 color indicators namely Green (green), Red (red), and Blue (blue). Color changes occurred in weeks 1st to week 4th where the best were obtained in treatment B with the average percentage produced, namely Red of 125,975%, Green of 111,375% and Blue of 116,6%. So it could be conclude that the use of Cattapa dip has an effect on color changes in Betta fish (Betta sp).

Abstract

Kualitas air berperan penting terhadap perubahan dinamika struktur plankton. Perubahan struktur dinamika plankton berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan udang vannamei. Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui hubungan kualitas air dengan dinamika struktur plankton. Sampel dikumpulkan pada tiga tambak budidaya udang vannamei intensif di Garut, Jawa Barat. Tambak yang diamati sebanyak tiga petak (2.860 m2/kolam). Perlakuan budidaya pada masing-masing tambak dilakukan secara sama tanpa ada variabel yang berbeda. Hasil penelitian diperoleh kualitas air tambak secara keseluruhan berada pada nilai optimal kecuali fosfat yang mengalami fluktuasi lebih dari nilai optimal. Kisaran nilai fosfat tertinggi pada tambak 2 sekitar 0,023 – 0,718 (0,206 ± 0,213), tambak 1 sekitar 0,0266 – 0,7444 (0,227 ± 0,244) dan terendah pada tambak 3 sekitar 0,022 – 0,6 (0,183 ± 0,192). Komunitas plankton tambak ditemukan 5 kelompok (21 genus). Kelimpahan plankton berkisar 5-5783 ind/ml. Nilai indeks keragaman tambak 1 (H’ = 2,0255) dan tambak 2 (H’ = 2,1606) termasuk dalam kategori lebih stabil, sedangkan tambak 3 (H’ = 1,4211) termasuk dalam kategori stabil. Nilai keseragaman tambak 1 (E = 0,7305) dan tambak 2 (E = 0,7337) termasuk dalam kategori tinggi, sedangkan tambak 3 (E = 0,5384) termasuk dalam kategori sedang karena ditemukan genus Oscillatoria sebayak 5783 ind/ml (62,72%). Jumlah genus Oscilatoria yang tinggi menyebabkan nilai dominansi tambak 3 (D = 0,4161) lebih tinggi dibandingkan tambak 1 (D = 0,1749) dan tambak 2 (D = 0,1477). Kualitas air tambak 1, 2 dan 3 memiliki hubungan sangat kuat dengan kelimpahan plankton dengan nilai R2 berturut-turut, yakni: 0,8642, 0,9801 dan 0,8607.

Abstract

Intensive vannamei shrimp cultivation is a high-density culture to get maximum results with the use of limited cultivation space. High cultivation activities cause high waste production, which inhibits growth, survival rate, and feed conversion ratio (FCR). This study aims to determine the cultivation of vannamei shrimp with an intensive system on growth, survival rate, and FCR. The research was carried out in Legok Jawa, Pangandaran in the period March–May 2022. The research was carried out by means of a survey and analyzed by a quantitative descriptive approach. The results of the study obtained growth values, namely: Mean Body Weight (MBW) ranges from 1.61 to 21.11 g/head, Average Daily Growth (ADG) ranges from 0.14 to 0.62 g/day, size is 49 fish/kg and biomass is 7,680 kg. The survival rate value obtained is around 95.07 – 84.87%, while the feed conversion ratio (FCR) value ranges from 1.2 to 1.5. In general, the results of growth, survival rate, and FCR showed high performance and supported the success of vannamei shrimp culture with intensive systems.

Abstract

Seaweed farming is one of the most important aquaculture sectors in Indonesia, contributing significantly to the national economy. Among various species, Eucheuma cottonii is widely cultivated due to its high carrageenan content and industrial value. Optimizing environmental conditions, such as culturing depth, is crucial to improving growth performance and productivity. This study evaluated the effect of different culturing depths on the growth of E. cottonii using a modified floating net cage system in Jepara Bay. The experiment applied three depth treatments—25 cm (A), 45 cm (B), and 65 cm (C)—each with two replications. Seaweed growth was monitored over 49 days and assessed based on absolute weight and specific growth rate (SGR). Results showed that seaweed cultivated at 25 cm had the highest growth performance, with an absolute weight of 102.2 g and the highest SGR, whereas the lowest values were recorded at 65 cm. ANOVA analysis confirmed a significant effect of depth on growth (p < 0.05), supported by Duncan’s test indicating clear differences among treatments. Water quality parameters (temperature, salinity, pH, and dissolved oxygen) remained within optimal ranges, suggesting depth was the primary factor influencing growth. The findings highlight that shallower depths promote greater light penetration and photosynthetic efficiency, thus enhancing E. cottonii growth. A culturing depth of 25 cm is recommended for optimal productivity in similar cultivation systems.

Abstract

Udang merupakan salah satu komoditas ekspor dari sub sektor perikanan yang memiliki nilai ekonomi tinggi. Salah satu jenis udang yang permintaannya cukup tinggi baik di dalam maupun luar negeri yaitu udang vaname (Litopenaeus vannamei). Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah ada perbedaan laju pertumbuhan, tingkat kelangsungan hidup, dan parameter kualitas air dengan pemberian merk pakan yang berbeda. Pembesaran udang vaname dimulai dari persiapan kolam, penebaran benur, pemberian pakan, manajemen kualitas air, pengendalian hama dan penyakit, dan panen. Laju pertumbuhan udang vaname pada kolam A dan kolam B terbilang sangat baik yang meliputi Average Body Weight (ABW) 19.30 gr untuk kolam A dan 20.11 gr untuk kolam B. Nilai Average Daily Growth (ADG) berkisar antara 0.06 – 0.4 gr untuk kolam A dan 0.05 – 0.6 gr untuk kolam B. Tingkat survival rate pada kolam A dan kolam B bisa dibilang cukup tinggi, yaitu 86% untuk kolam A dan 84% untuk kolam B. Pengaruh pemberian pakan dengan merk yang berbeda ini menghasilkan bahwa pakan merk B lebih efisien dalam menambahkan bobot udang dengan harga pakan yang lebih efisien dibandingkan dengan kolam A.Shrimp is one of the export commodities from fisheries sub – sector which has high economic value. One type of shrimp is in high demand both at home and abroad, namely vaname shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei). The purpose of this research is to find out whether there are difference in growth rates, survival rates, and water quality parameters by giving different brands of feed. Enlargement of vanname shrimp begins with pond preparation, stocking of fry, feeding, water quality management, pest and disease control, and  hervesting. The growth rate of vaname shrimp in ponds A and B is considered very good which includes Average Body Weight (ABW) 19.30 gr for pond A and 20.11 gr for pond B. Average Daily Growth (ADG) values ranged from 0.06 – 0.4 gr for pond A and 0.05 – 0.6 gr for pond B. Survival rate for pond A and pond B is quite high, namely 86% for pond A and 84% for pond B. The effect of feeding with different brands results that brand B feed is more efficient in adding shrimp weight with more efficient feed prices compared to pond A.

Abstract

Pakan merupakan salah satu faktor terpenting yang berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup ikan yang dibudidayakan. Penggunaan pakan dalam budidaya perlu diefesiensikan untuk dapat mengoptimalkan hasil produksi. Mutu pakan dapat ditingkatkan dengan penambahan probiotik pelepah pisang. Pelepah pisang mengandung sejumlah metabolit sekunder khas yang berguna untuk aktivitas mikrobiologis. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup ikan nila. Penelitian dilakukan secara kuantitatif dengan menggunakan 4 perlakuan, yakni: K (tanpa perlakuan), A (10 ml/kg), B (20 ml/kg) dan C (30 ml/kg). Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa penggunaan probiotik pelepah pisang berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan ikan nila (Fhit > Ftabel). Rata-rata pertumbuhan tertinggi diperoleh pada perlakuan C (30 ml/kg) sebesar 6,26 gram untuk laju pertumbuhan bobot mutlak, 4,91% untuk laju pertumbuhan spesifik dan 3,44 cm untuk pertumbuhan panjang mutlak. Tingkat kelangsungan hidup tertinggi diperoleh pada perlakuan B (20 ml/kg) sebesar 76,6%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keadaan social ekonomi keluarga nelayan bagan di Pantai Timur Kabupaten Pangandaran, Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan September- November 2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dimana populasi sebanyak 21 reponden dari 38 0rang. Pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, kuesioner dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pendidikan nelayan bagan di pantai timur kabupaten pangandaran masih tergolong rendah, yaitu sebanyak 61,9% dengan  pendidikan tingkat Sekolah Dasar (SD). Lebih dari 76% nelayan bagan di pantai timur kabupaten pangandaran memiliki tanggungan keluarga dimana dalam satu keluarga jumlah tanggungan lebih dari 5 orang. Nelayan bagan di pantai timur kabupaten pangandaran rata-rata telah memiliki pengalaman selama 9,74 tahun sebagai nelayan dengan 57,14% merupakan nelayan penuh, atau tidak memiliki pekerjaan sampingan lain dengan pendapatan yang masih tergolong rendah.This study aims to determine the socio-economic conditions of the fishing families of Bagan on the East Coast of Pangandaran Regency, West Java. This research was conducted in September-November 2019. This study used a descriptive method where the population was 21 respondents from 38 people. Collecting data using interview techniques, observation, questionnaires and documentation. The results showed that the education level of the Bagan fishermen on the east coast of Pangandaran Regency was still relatively low, namely as much as 61.9% with elementary school level education (SD). More than 76% of Bagan fishermen on the east coast of Pangandaran Regency have family dependents where in one family the number of dependents is more than 5 people. Bagan fishermen on the east coast of Pangandaran Regency have an average of 9.74 years of experience as fishermen with 57.14% being full-time fishermen, or do not have other side jobs with low incomes.

Abstract

Belu merupakan kabupaten yang memiliki potensi sumberdaya perikanan yang melimpah seperti pesisir pantai yang berpotensi dalam pengembangan budidaya rumput laut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui aspek teknis dan finansial pada usaha budidaya rumput laut di Kabupaten Belu provinsi Nusa tenggara Timur. Metode analisis yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif dan kelayakan finansial dimana menggunakan indikator payback period (PP), B/C ratio danLaba/Rugi . Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa usaha budidaya rumput laut ditinjau dari aspek teknis sudah layak. Hasil analisis menyebutkan bahwa budidaya rumput laut di kabupaten Belu apabila dilihat dari tiga aspek finansial yaitu analisis Laba/Rugi, payback period (PP), dan B/C Ratio laut termasuk usaha yang menguntungkan dimana memiliki nilai PP pada angka 0,3 tahun, B/C ratio >1 yaitu 3,3 dan memiliki nilai pendapatan rata-rata padasetiap bualnya sebesar Rp 583.333 maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa budidaya rumput laut merupakan kegiatan usaha yang menguntungkan. Namun rata-rata pendapatan bulanan tersebut masih di bawah ratarata UMK kabupaten Belu. Sehingga perlu adanya perhatian khusus agar kegiatan usaha budidaya rumput laut di kabupaten Belu dapat meningkat dan berkontribusi besar terhadap ekonomi daerah.

Abstract

Ikan Mas Koki (Carrasius auratus) merupakan salah ikan hias yang memiliki nilai ekonomis tinggi dan pasngsa pasar yang stabil. Pakan merupakan salah satu faktor penting untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan ikan mas koki. Pakan yang baik akan bedampak pada pertumbuhan ikan mas koki yang lebih cepet. Magot merupakan salah satu alternatif pakan alami yang dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan ikan mas koki. Penambahan tepung magot kering pada pakan memberikan dampak yang positif pada pertumbuhan ikan mas koki. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan penambahan tepung magot kering dengan dosis K (100% Pakan buatan), A (25% Tepung magot : 75% Pakan buatan), B (50% Tepung magot : 50% Pakan buatan), C (75% Tepung magot : 25% Pakan buatan), D (100% Tepung magot). Hasil penelitian terbaik untuk parameter pertumbuhan terdapat pada perlakuan C dengan pertumbuhan bobot sebesar 5,92 gram dan SGR sebesar1,77%, sedangkan untuk survival rate tertinggi pada perlakuan A sebesar 95%, pada perlakuan K, B dan C sebesar 93% sedangkan untuk perlakuan D sebesar 91%.Goldfish (Carrasius auratus) is an ornamental fish with a high economic value and a stable market share. Food is one of the important factors to promote the growth of goldfish. Good food influences a faster growth of goldfish. Magot is an alternative natural food that can be used to increase the growth of goldfish. The addition of dry magot meal to the feed has a positive influence on the growth of goldfish. In this study, the addition of dry magot meal with a dose of K (100% artificial food), A (25% Magot meal: 75% artificial food), B (50% Magot meal: 50% artificial food), C (75% Magot meal: 25% Artificial feed), D (100% Magot flour). The best study results for growth parameters were in treatment C with a weight gain of 5.92 grams and SGR of 1.77%, while the highest survival rate was in treatment A at 95%, in treatment K, B and C at 93% while treatment D by 91%.

Abstract

High tilapia production indicates high demand,therefore it is necessary to produce tilapia in a sustainable manner. Sustainable tilapia production can be fulfilled through fish farming activities with various aquaculturemethods and systems. One of the integrated systems of tilapia aquaculturecan becarried out through minapadisystem.This community service activity (PKM) aims to increase the productivity of paddy fields so that they can be utilized for the production of agricultural products and for fish production through the minapadi aquaculturesystem in Karangkamulyan Hamlet, Cintakarya, Parigi, Pangandaran. The stages of this activity include: (i) planning and presentation of tilapia aquacultureusing the minapadi system; (ii) creating a minapadi system that integrates tilapia aquaculturewith rice; (iii) monitoring the growth of cultivated tilapia fish; and (iv) evaluation of activities related to the perceptions of the target community and the results of monitoring the growth of tilapia cultivated using the minapadi system. The results of monitoring fish growth obtained an absolute weight of 65,86 grams, while an absolute length of 7,86 cm and a specific growth rate of 3,84% per day. The results of monitoring water quality during maintenance were obtained, pH value 7 –7,9; temperature (26-34)oC and DO values (3,1 –11,3) mg/l. The results of monitoring and evaluation can be concluded that Cintakarya Village, which is included in the Parigi District, has the potential to develop tilapia aquaculturewith the minapadi system. This is shown by the enthusiasm of the cultivators while participating in PKM activities and being supported by natural resources that are suitable for the aquacultureof the minapadi system
