Abstract

This study aims to describe the problems of language development among third-grade students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri Lima Puluh Kota. The research focuses on identifying the factors that influence children’s language abilities, including family environment, school context, and psychological aspects. This research employed a qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving teachers and students. The data were analyzed through thematic reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that children’s language difficulties are influenced by limited verbal stimulation at home, low social interaction at school, and the lack of varied learning media. Conversely, teacher support and a communicative learning environment help students overcome these difficulties. This study highlights the importance of collaboration between teachers and parents in creating a literacy-friendly environment that fosters language development among elementary school children.

Abstract

Abstract This study discusses the calculation and comparison of the value of the annual premium reserve for life insurance using the Fackler method based on interest rates, namely 3.50% and 3.75%. In calculating the premium reserve value required is the insurance coverage value, the annual premium value (??) is based on the commutation table from the 2011 mortality table which is influenced by interest rate factors. Based on the results of calculations and discussions, it can be concluded that the final reserve value for life insurance premiums using the Fackler method based on an interest rate of 3.50% is greater than that of an interest rate of 3.75%. Premium reserves obtainedusing the fackler method increase from the first year reserves to year-end reserves based on the sum insured, it can be concluded that the premium reserve value is greaterusing a small interest rate compared to a larger interest rate.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an Electronic Student Worksheet (E-LKPD) based on the RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, Create) learning model using the Liveworksheets platform to enhance learning quality and student engagement. The study employed the 4-D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), limited to the development stage. The research instruments consisted of expert validation sheets and user response questionnaires. Data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques. Quantitative data were obtained from expert validation questionnaires and teacher and student response questionnaires, while qualitative data were derived from observations and open-ended responses, analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The validation results from two material experts indicated that the E-LKPD achieved validation scores ranging from 91.6% to 95.8%, categorized as “Valid.” Meanwhile, media validation by one media expert resulted in a score of 100%, also categorized as “Valid.” Trials involving teachers yielded a response score of 90.63%, and trials involving students obtained 92.32%, both classified as “Very Good.” Therefore, the RADEC-based E-LKPD was declared valid and received highly positive responses, indicating its potential for use in teaching thermochemistry to Grade XI SMA/MA students.
