Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di SD Negeri 040459 Berastagi dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru sekolah dasar dalam mengajar secara bilingual (Bahasa Indonesia–Bahasa Inggris) serta memperkuat pendidikan karakter dan literasi global siswa. Hasil analisis kebutuhan menunjukkan bahwa guru masih memiliki keterbatasan dalam kemampuan berbahasa Inggris, belum tersedianya perangkat ajar bilingual, serta belum optimalnya integrasi pendidikan karakter dalam pembelajaran. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui tahapan sosialisasi, pelatihan, penyusunan modul ajar bilingual, pendampingan praktik mengajar, serta evaluasi keberlanjutan. Hasil pelaksanaan menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan guru dalam penggunaan classroom English, penyusunan media ajar digital, serta kepercayaan diri dalam mengajar dua bahasa. Siswa juga mengalami perkembangan signifikan dalam komunikasi dasar Bahasa Inggris serta peningkatan karakter seperti percaya diri, disiplin, dan tanggung jawab. Produk pengabdian berupa modul ajar bilingual, video pembelajaran, e-book, dan pembentukan Kelompok Guru Bilingual menjadi bukti keberlanjutan program. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini berkontribusi pada peningkatan mutu pembelajaran, produktivitas guru, dan tercapainya indikator IKU 5 serta SDGs 4 dan 8.

Abstract

Strengthening religious tolerance through the implementation of the values of the First Principle of Pancasila—Belief in One Almighty God—is essential in shaping children’s character from an early age. This community service program was conducted at SD Negeri 040459 Berastagi with the aim of enhancing students’ understanding of the meaning of divine belief and its application in developing mutual respect among different religions. The methods employed included interactive socialization, educational games, illustrated storytelling, and value reflection activities. The results revealed a significant improvement in students’ comprehension of tolerance values and their demonstration of respectful behavior in school life. Teachers also gained new insights into integrating divine values into character education. This program highlights that the contextual implementation of the First Principle of Pancasila effectively strengthens tolerance and fosters a peaceful, harmonious, and civilized learning environment.

Abstract

This study was motivated by low cognitive learning outcomes and limited learning activities among students in Pancasila Education, especially in the topic of norms and rules, which were still dominated by conventional teacher-centered learning. As a result, students tend to be passive and less involved in the learning process. This study aimed to determine the effect of the Snowball Throwing learning model on the cognitive learning outcomes of fifth-grade students in Pancasila Education at SD Negeri 040544 Dolat Rayat in the 2025/2026 academic year. The research used a quantitative approach with a two-group pretest-posttest quasi-experimental design. The sample consisted of 50 students, including 25 in class VA (control group) and 25 in class VB (experimental group), selected using total sampling. The instrument was a multiple-choice learning outcome test with 10 valid items out of 15, and the Cronbach's Alpha reliability coefficient was 0.718. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, including tests of normality, homogeneity, and independent-samples t-tests. The results showed that the posttest mean score of the control class was 61.60, while the experimental class reached 80.80. The t-test showed t=4.487, p=0.000, indicating a significant effect.

Abstract

The Free Nutritious Meal Program is a government policy aimed at improving students' nutritional needs, health, and learning readiness. However, implementing this program still requires support from schools, especially teachers, as they play a direct role in assisting students in the school environment. This study aims to determine elementary school teachers' perceptions of the 2025 Free Nutritious Meal Program at SD Swasta Masehi Berastagi. This study used a descriptive, quantitative approach with a purposive sample of 25 teachers. Data were collected through a closed-ended Likert-scale questionnaire and documentation, then analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequencies, percentages, and score categories. The results showed that teachers' perceptions were in the very positive category. In the cognitive aspect, the majority of teachers understood the program's goals and benefits, with 68.10% agreeing and 14.29% strongly agreeing. In the affective aspect, teachers showed an attitude of acceptance and support for the program, with 68.78% agreeing and 20.11% strongly agreeing. Regarding psychomotor aspects, teachers were ready to act, with 71.98% agreeing and 17.67% strongly agreeing. In conclusion, the Free Nutritious Meal Program was well-received by teachers and has the potential to be implemented in schools. However, further outreach, technical strengthening, and supporting facilities are still needed.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital menuntut dunia pendidikan untuk tidak hanya meningkatkan kompetensi akademik, tetapi juga membentuk karakter siswa, termasuk sikap toleransi beragama di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemanfaatan literasi digital dalam penguatan karakter toleransi beragama, mendeskripsikan strategi guru dalam mengintegrasikannya, serta mengidentifikasi kendala dan solusi dalam implementasinya. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus yang dilaksanakan di SD Negeri 040454 Peceren. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari guru, kepala sekolah, dan siswa, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, serta dianalisis menggunakan analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi digital dimanfaatkan melalui media seperti video pembelajaran dan presentasi interaktif yang mampu meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap nilai toleransi secara konkret. Strategi guru dilakukan dengan mengintegrasikan media digital dengan diskusi dan refleksi, sehingga mendorong partisipasi aktif siswa. Kendala berupa keterbatasan infrastruktur dan perbedaan kemampuan siswa diatasi melalui solusi adaptif seperti penggunaan materi offline dan pendampingan. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa literasi digital berperan penting dalam membentuk karakter toleransi secara kontekstual dan berkelanjutan.
