Abstract

Literature is a work that not only provides entertainment, but also teaches the values of life. In addition to being full of beauty that can be enjoyed, a literary work must contain wisdom that can be interpreted. Literature can be a learning space for those who enjoy it. that way, literature is also related to education. In practice at school, literature learning is still full of obstacles. The majority of literature learning in schools is still theoretical, focusing only on the text, not the value of its content. One of the literary works that can be enjoyed is drama. In drama stories there are lessons about the reality of life that can be interpreted by students in schools. Especially the values that can stimulate the sensitivity of students about morals and social life. This research was conducted to analyze the Rape Trauma Syndrome of the main character of the play "Death and the Maiden" by Ariel Dorfman, as a representation of victims of sexual violence. The existence of this research aims to analyze what is the context of trauma symptoms that target the psyche of victims of sexual violence, how the mental form of the victim, and how the victim's personality structure is viewed from a psychoanalytic perspective. In this research, the author uses descriptive qualitative method, with literary psychology as the approach. From the results of the research, 9 contexts of Rape Trauma Syndrome symptoms were found in the drama script which were divided into acute and reorganization symptoms. In addition, there are 9 trauma symptoms shown by the main character, which are divided into Hyperarousal, Intrusive, and Numbing symptoms. Regarding the personality structure, 22 data were found, divided into 10 Id, 7 Ego, and 5 Super Ego. The results of the analysis will be used as an alternative reference for drama teaching materials for class XI high school.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memberikan solusi bagi permasalahan dalam pembelajaran, salah satunya kesulitan guru dalam memilih atau menentukan bahan ajar yang tepat bagi peserta didik. Selain itu pembelajaran sastra menjadi salah satu permasalahan dalam pembelajaran. Kurangnya minat siswa dalam pembelajaran sastra menjadi faktor utama yang harus diperhatikan oleh guru. Penelitian ini diharapkan mampu memberi solusi mengenai pemilihan bahan ajar yang bervariasi serta sesuai dengan pembelajaran sastra di SMA yaitu menganalisis sebuah novel. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu kualitatif. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu satu buah novel Hayya karya Helvy Tiana Rosa dan Benny Arnas. Data penelitian yang didapatkan berupa hasil analisis pragmatik terhadap karakterisasi tokoh melalui gaya bahasa tindak tutur tokoh sebagai berikut. Pertama, metode karakterisasi tokoh melalui gaya bahasa di antaranya terdapat 4 gaya bahasa perbandingan, gaya bahasa pertentangan, gaya bahasa pertautan, gaya bahasa perulangan dan dibagi menjadi 10 macam. Kedua, terdapat metode karakterisasi melalui tindak tutur tokoh. Ketiga, bahan ajar analisis novel yang didasarkan pada analisis yang telah dilakukan, dan dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran materi analisis novel di kelas XII SMA.

Abstract

The research was motivated by the difficulty of student in writing text reviewer. It is characterized by the difficulty of students in developing written language, ideas and ideas in writing the contents of the reviewer’s text. The existence of a connection with the background described, that this study aims to determine the presence or absence of significant differences between students in learning by using the modelof problem based learning and discovery learning model of writing text reviews. This study uses a quatitative approach with quasi-experimental methods (quasi exsperimental). The design of this study is nonequivalent control group. Variables in this study are the independent variables in the form of problem based learning model and the dependent variable is the ability to write text reviewer. The population of this study were students of class XI in SMA Pasundan 7 Bandung. Based on the results of consideration, it was determined that class XI IPA-1 as an experimental class and class XI IPS-3 as a control class. Data collection techniques are tests and nontes (trials, observations, documentation and literature review). The results of the homogeneity test have been carried out data posttest both experimental and control classes declared equal or homogeneous distribution. Futher data were analyzed using non-parametric tests with Wilcoxon test and Mann-whitney U test. The results of the calculation of the test statistic of the Wilcoxon test in experimental and control classes both obtain Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 <0.05, it is concluded that there are differences in student learning outcomes writing text reviewer. In the mann-whitney U test results in the experimental class and the control class refers to the value of posttest obtained value of Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05. It can be concluded that there is effectiveness on student learning outcomes in writing text skills experimental class reviewer using problem based learning model.

Abstract

This study aims to describe: (1) the author's ability to carry out learning activities by applying the discovery learning model in learning to examine connotative diction themed Pancasila student profiles in poetry in class X SMK Bina Warga Bandung; (2) the ability of students in learning to examine connotative diction themed Pancasila student profiles in poetry using the discovery learning model in the experimental class; (3) the difference in student learning outcomes before and after using the discovery learning model in the experimental class and the direct learning model in the control class; (4) the difference in the effectiveness of the discovery learning model in the experimental class and the direct learning model in the control class. The approach used in this research is a quantitative approach. The method used is a pseudo-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The results of this study are: (1) the author is able to carry out learning with the discovery learning model in learning to examine connotative diction themed Pancasila student profiles by obtaining a score of 3.8 and 3.72 with a very good category; (2) students are able to examine connotative diction themed Pancasila student profiles in poetry by using the discovery learning model, as evidenced by the average results that have increased during the posttest to 80.22; (3) there is a difference in learning outcomes when the pretest in the experimental class is 48.96 and increases during posttest activities to 80.22. While the average value of the pretest in the control class was 57.83 and increased during the posttest to 57.83; (4) there is a difference in the effectiveness of the discovery learning model and the direct learning model seen from the results of testing the independent sample t test Sig. (2-tailed) value is 0.000 <0.05, which means that learning using the discovery learning model is considered more effective because it has a good improvement during the posttest activity.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the moral elements in the poetry collection Doa Untuk Anak Cucu by W. S. Rendra. The results of the study, for alternative teaching materials for students at the Senior High School level class X. Students often find difficulties when analyzing the moral elements contained in poetry, one of the factors is the difficulty of finding the right teaching materials and only using teaching materials that are already available, there is no development of innovative teaching materials. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The data source of this research is the book collection of poems Doa Untuk Anak Cucu by W. S. Rendra. The results of the analysis of moral elements in the poetry collection Doa Untuk Anak Cucu by W. S. Rendra, are as follows: Four moral elements were found, including man's relationship with himself, man's relationship with nature, man's relationship with society, and man's relationship with his God. The results of the data that have been studied fulfill the general characteristics of the study of the moral elements in poetry. Thus, the literary sociology analysis of the moral elements in the poetry collection Doa Untuk Anak Cucu by W. S. Rendra as an alternative literature teaching material in class X Senior High School, shows success.

Abstract

Two causes of difficulties in writing anecdotal texts for students are that they often have difficulty writing innuendo terms that contain humor for the story to be created. Another factor is that educators do not use innovative and creative learning models, and learners do not have enough practice or practice during learning. The purpose of this study is to determine the ability of learners in writing anecdote text, especially determining the structure of anecdote text, namely crisis, by using problem-based learning model as an alternative. The author makes the results of this study after conducting research on students of class X MIPA 6 at SMA PGII 1 Bandung as an experimental class and a control class. The results showed that students in the control class did not have the ability to write a crisis on an anecdote text. This is due to the incompatibility with the characteristics of the crisis of anecdote text, which is satire or criticism on real figures or events that contain humor, silliness, and cuteness that tickle readers. Compared to students in the experimental class who used the problem-based learning model, the results showed that students in the experimental class were able to write a crisis in the anecdote text created because it was in accordance with the characteristics of the crisis, namely satire or criticism of real characters or events that contain humor, silliness, and cuteness that tickle the reader.

Abstract

Students experience the degradation of digital technology. Students are becoming more proficient in operating devices and the applications they possess. Students of this generation need to be given stimuli to transform an explanatory text into another genre to make it more interesting and encourage creative thinking. This issue is observed among eighth-grade students at SMP Pribadi Bandung. The aim of this research is to describe ability to screenize (adapt into visual or multimedia form) explanatory texts on creative thinking through the project-based learning model among eighth-grade students at SMP Pribadi Bandung. The research method used is a quasi-experimental research method. Data collection techniques involve mixed methods (quantitative and qualitative). The results of the study show that eighth-grade students at SMP Pribadi Bandung were able to screenize explanatory texts into film genres based on the assessment rubric. The highest score obtained was 96, and the lowest score was 87, with an average score of 92. The students' ability to screenize explanatory texts into film genres is excellent. The students' ability to meet the structural and language rules in the films produced through the project-based learning model in eighth grade at SMP Pribadi Bandung achieved the highest post-test score of 100, with the lowest score being 80, and an average score of 89.9. The creative thinking ability of the students in the films they produced through the project-based learning model in eighth grade at SMP Pribadi Bandung is excellent. Out of 39 students, 36 students were categorized as capable of creative thinking, while three students were not yet able to think creatively. There is a very strong influence of the ability to screenize explanatory texts on creative thinking through the project-based learning model among eighth-grade students at SMP Pribadi Bandung, as confirmed by the hypothesis test.

Abstract

This research aims to describe how D. Zawawi Imron manipulates or utilizes diction that indicates the character education value of the Pancasila Student Profile as well as the effects caused by the use of this diction in the collection of poems Bulan Tertusuk Lalang and used as an alternative for Indonesian teaching material in vocational schools. This research applies a qualitative descriptive method using a stylistic approach. This research uses data from the poetry collection Bulan Tertusuk Lalang by D. Zawawi Imron and Indonesian language teaching materials at vocational schools. Data collection was carried out using library study techniques. The results of this research are, D. Zawawi Imron manipulates or utilizes language in ways, namely: (1) using words that contain denotational and connotative meanings through expressions (2) using word data with the Pancasila Student Profile as an indirect way of expressing reality. The effect of D. Zawawi Imron's use of diction in the collection of poems Bulan Tertusuk Lalang is that readers can find out the meaning and message of the collection of the poems as well as provide characteristics of the language used by D. Zawawi Imron. As an alternative Indonesian language teaching material in vocational schools because it meets the requirements and criteria for good teaching material or materials. Interestingly, apart from the meaning of connotation and denotation, in these poems we also find archaic diction (ancient words that are no longer commonly used).One of the functions of this archaic diction is as a means of generating visual images for readers and the value of character education with the Pancasila Student Profile. Apart from that, you can also find understanding related to the holy book Al-Quran, stories of the prophet, history of the Majapahit kingdom, and philosophical theories. The results of data analysis also show that this stylistic study can be used as teaching material for Indonesian language and literature in module form.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kesulitan peserta didik dalam menulis teks naratif dan kemampuan bercerita. Hal tersebut disebabkan peserta didik kurang memahami struktur dan kebahasaan dalam menulis teks naratif. Selain itu peserta didik belum terlatih ketika berbicara di depan kelas. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, maka penulis memilih implementasi problem based learning berbasis student agency untuk meningkatkan kemampuan peserta didik kelas VII SMPN 4 Cimahi dalam menulis teks naratif dan berdampak terhadap kemampuan bercerita. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji keefektifan model tersebut terhadap kemampuan menulis teks naratif dan kemampuan bercerita. Kemampuan peserta didik kelas VII SMPN 4 Cimahi dalam menulis teks naratif dan kemampuan bercerita dikategorikan baik. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan statistik, bahwa implementasi model tersebut berdampak terhadap kemampuan menulis teks naratif dan kemampuan bercerita. Hal ini didukung dengan perhitungan statistik. Terdapat perbedaan signifikan menulis teks naratif dan kemampuan bercerita peserta didik di kelas eksperimen menggunakan problem based learning berbasis student agency dan kelas kontrol menggunakan metode ceramah. Penelitian ini menggunakan mix method dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui tes, observasi, dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa menulis teks naratif berdampak terhadap kemampuan bercerita peserta didik. Selain itu, dapat menjadi alternatif pemilihan model pembelajaran di kelas. Terbukti dari rata-rata pretest menulis teks naratif di kelas eksperimen memperoleh 56,86, sementara perolehan rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen memperoleh 81,86 menunjukkan kenaikan nilai. Begitu pula dengan nilai rata-rata pretest kemampuan bercerita peserta didik yaitu 49,25, sementara nilai rata-rata posttest 74,25, juga menunjukkan kenaikan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan peserta didik dalam menulis cerpen, khususnya dalam pemilihan diksi yang tepat dan mencerminkan nilai-nilai Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ketepatan model Project Based Learning dengan metode Kunjung Karya dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis cerpen berbasis diksi serta dampaknya terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik di fase F. Adapun pendekatan yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan campuran. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas XI Kuliner sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI ULP sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan hasil nilai rata-rata pada kelas eksperimen yaitu 86,88, sedangkan pada kelas kontrol sebesar 83,75. Uji normalitas menunjukkan data kelas eksperimen berdistribusi normal karena 0.140 > 0.05. Selanjutnya Uji homogenitas menunjukkan data 0.471< 0.05 artinya data homogen. Lalu dilakukan uji paired samples t-test menunjukkan peningkatan pada kelas eksperimen yaitu 0.028 < 0.05. Namun, pada hasil independent samples t-test menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan signifikan secara statistik antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol 0.201 > 0.05. Meskipun demikian, selisih rata-rata 1.225 poin di kelas eksperimen menunjukkan bahwa penerapan PJBL dengan metode kunjung karya berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan penggunaan diksi peserta didik dalam penulisan cerpen.
