Abstract

As an interactive media, a radio has social responsibility to the community on the understanding the policy of multicultural education from language diversity point of view. This study was to analyze the existence of radio as a type of electronic media that has a role and function as a medium of information, education, and entertainment for the community. We approached the study focus by using theory of multicultural education value, and supported by the theory of social media responsibility. The results of the study showed that Elsinta as one of the private radio stations in Indonesia through the broadcast content of RBI which had become a radio characteristic in presenting broadcast material that need to be used as a capital and model to develop multicultural communication education innovations. Therefore, to build a community perspective, it was necessary to be based on the value of the wisdom of the diversity of languages in Indonesia, packaged into learning materials for the community. This study contributes academically to the community as an effort to strengthen the value of the wisdom of language diversity.

Abstract

Da'wah in the current digital era is no longer limited to face-to-face lectures in mosques or religious forums, but has expanded to various social media platforms and online-based programs. The rapid development of technology makes communication between humans easier and more in accordance with each person's needs. This study aims to analyze Ustadz Nasrullah's assertive communication style in conveying da'wah messages in the Netizen Bertanya Ustadz Menjawab program on YouTube @tvMu. The focus of this study is on the aspects of assertiveness, firmness, and politeness referring to the indicators formulated by Doris Hulbert. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a content analysis approach to examine the forms of assertive communication displayed in the broadcast. The results of the study show that Ustadz Nasrullah consistently applies an assertive communication style that balances between assertive delivery and polite attitudes, so that da'wah messages can be widely accepted by digital audiences. Abstrak Dakwah di era digital saat ini, tidak lagi terbatas pada ceramah tatap muka di masjid atau forum-forum keagamaan, melainkan telah meluas ke berbagai platform media sosial dan program berbasis daring.  Perkembangan teknologi yang begitu cepat membuat komunikasi antar manusia menjadi lebih mudah dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan masing-masing. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis gaya komunikasi asertif Ustadz Nasrullah dalam menyampaikan pesan dakwah dalam program Netizen Bertanya Ustadz Menjawab di YouTube @tvMu. Fokus penelitian ini adalah pada aspek ketegasan, keteguhan, dan kesopanan mengacu pada ndicator yang dirumuskan oleh Doris Hulbert. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan analisis isi (content analysis) untuk mengkaji bentuk-bentuk komunikasi asertif yang ditampilkan dalam tayangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Ustadz Nasrullah secara konsisten menerapkan gaya komunikasi asertif yang menyeimbangkan antara penyampaian yang tegas dan sikap yang santun, sehingga pesan dakwah dapat diterima secara luas oleh audiens digital.

Abstract

Cyber Public Relations menjadi fondasi penting dalam strategi komunikasi pada pelaksanaan Program Kemah Pramuka Madrasah Nasional (KPMN) 2024. Setelah enam tahun vakum akibat pandemi COVID-19, KPMN kembali digelar dengan adanya tantangan, terutama dalam aspek publikasi dan membangkitkan kembali semangat serta antusiasme para peserta KPMN. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana implementasi Cyber PR yang dilakukan oleh Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Islam melalui akun Instagram resmi @pendidikan islamkemenag dalam menyampaikan informasi KPMN 2024. Pendekatan yang digunakan mengacu pada teori New Media dari Denis McQuail, yang menekankan pentingnya media baru dalam membentuk komunikasi dua arah yang interaktif dan partisipatif. Cyber PR menjadi strategi penting dalam mengelola media sosial, menciptakan konten digital yang inspiratif, dan mendorong keterlibatan aktif dari audiens. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus deskriptif, untuk menangkap dinamika komunikasi digital yang berlangsung dan bagaimana strategi tersebut dijalankan secara nyata di lapangan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa Humas Pendidikan Islam menunjukkan pemahaman bahwa Cyber PR telah terimplementasikan terhadap prinsip komunikasi berbasis New Media dan mengadopsi pendekatan Cyber PR untuk membangun interaksi dua arah dengan audiens sehingga adanya keterlibatan dan partisipasi siswa madrasah dari berbagai daerah.

Abstract

This study examines the creative content ideas on Instagram @cretivox in maintaining its existence as a creative media amid the increasingly competitive digital industry. The problem addressed in this research is how the creative ideas implemented in the content of Instagram @cretivox contribute to sustaining Cretivox's existence as a creative media. The purpose of this research is to analyze the creative elements used in Cretivox’s content and to understand the role of content in building engagement with the audience. This study uses a qualitative approach with a qualitative content analysis method. Data collection techniques include observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results show that Cretivox consistently applies creative content ideas that reflect the four functions of media according to Denis McQuail: information, correlation, continuity, and entertainment. This implementation is evident through the use of hashtags as brand identity, engaging visuals, a distinctive tone of voice, and relevant content themes that contribute to building strong brand positioning and maintaining its existence as a creative media platform.

Abstract

As an Islamic community organization, Muhammadiyah and Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) have received an offer for a mining business license from the Government. This acceptance raises pros and cons from various circles.The controversy over the receipt of mining business licenses by Muhammadiyah and NU then became a discourse in the online media, where there was a discourse of pros and cons over the receipt of the mining permit. This study aims to show the discourse of online media news regarding the receipt of mining business licenses by Muhammadiyah and NU. For this reason, the method used is the discourse analysis of the Halliday-Hasan model which focuses its analysis on three elements, namely (1) tenor of discourse, (2) field of discourse, and (3) mode of discourse. The results of the study show that there are two areas of discourse that appear in the online media, namely approving (pro) and rejecting (con) the receipt of mining business licenses by Muhammadiyah and NU. For the tenor of discourse in the field of discourse who agree are dominated by sources from Muhammadiyah leaders, NU leaders, and members of the House of Representatives. Meanwhile, the tenor of the discourse who refused came from Muhammadiyah internal circles, non-governmental organization activists, academics/experts, and members of the House of Representatives. The mode of discourse used by online media are descriptive, argumentative, and persuasive writing styles. The results of this study strengthen the influence of media routines on the practice of media discourse.

Abstract

Di era disrupsi, komunikasi sosial sangat dibutuhkan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan-kebutuhan sosial individu yang tidak dapat diperoleh melalui teknologi komunikasi seperti pembentukan konsep diri, pemenuhan eksistensi diri, menjalin hubungan dan mendapatkan kebahagiaan. Komunikasi sosial penting dilakukan di lingkungan pondok pesantren karena sebagai lembaga yang menekankan pada pendidikan karakter. Penelitian ini dilakukan di pondok pesantren yaitu Muhammadiyah Boarding School (MBS) Ki Bagus Hadikusumo, sebagai salah satu model pendidikan di Muhammadiyah. Fokus permasalahan penelitian ini adalah bagaimana proses komunikasi sosial di kalangan MBS Ki Bagus Hadikusumo? Teori yang digunakan adalah Interaksionisme Simbolik dari George Herbert Mead yang memfokuskan pada konsep mind, Self, dan Society. Pendekatan penelitiannya adalah kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses komunikasi sosial di MBS Ki Bagus Hadikusumo terjadi secara interaktif dan transaksional yang melibatkan dewan mudir, ustadz/ustadzah, ibu/bapak asrama, mudabbir (guru pendamping), santri, dan wali santri. Melalui proses komunikasi sosial secara interaktif dapat membentuk konsep diri, aktualisasi diri, terjalin hubungan dan  tercapainya kebahagiaan para santri. Hasil penelitian ini dapat mengembangkan teori Interaksionisme Simbolik melalui penerapannya pada konteks komunikasi sosial di pondok pesantren. In the disruption era, social communication is needed to accomplish the social needs of individuals that cannot be obtained through communication technology. Social communication is important to be carried out in the Islamic boarding school environment because it is an institution that emphasizes character education. This research was conducted at the Muhammadiyah Boarding School (MBS) Ki Bagus Hadikusumo, as one of the educational models in Muhammadiyah. The focus of this research problem is how is the process of social communication among MBS Ki Bagus Hadikusumo? The theory used is the Symbolic Interactionism by George Herbert Mead who focuses on the concepts of mind, Self, and Society. The research approach is qualitative with a case study method. The results of the study show that the social communication process at MBS Ki Bagus Hadikusumo occurs in an interactive and transactional manner involving the directors (mudir) council, teachers (ustadz/ustadzah), dormitory mothers/fathers, mudabbir (accompanying teachers), students, and guardians of students. Through the social communication process, it can form self-concept, self-actualization, relationships and the achievement of happiness for students. This research can develop the theory of Symbolic Interactionism through its application in the context of social communication in Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

Government policy granting mining management permits to religious mass organizations (ormas) has sparked a range of public responses and has become a sensitive issue that is widely covered by the media. This study aimed to analyze how online media framing shapes public discourse regarding policy, particularly through coverage by Detik.com and Kompas.com. The research employs a qualitative approach using Entman’s framing analysis model, which includes four elements: defining problems, diagnosing causes, making moral judgments, and suggesting remedies. Data were collected from 58 news articles published between May and July of 2024 (26 from Detik.com and 32 from Kompas.com). The analysis technique involved content categorization and narrative interpretation of each framing element. The results show that Detik.com tends to frame the issue in a neutral and procedural manner, predominantly featuring elite quotations, without exploring conflicts or making moral judgments. By contrast, Kompas.com presents a more reflective and deliberative framing, highlighting internal disagreements within the ormas and drawing attention to the moral, environmental, and social aspects of mining policy. This difference in framing reflects each media outlet’s editorial orientation and position within the media power structure. These findings underscore that online media is not homogeneous and that news framing can shape diverse public perceptions and discourses about state policies. This study contributes to the scholarly examination of digital media framing in Indonesia, in the context of differing perspectives and societal narratives regarding state policies and natural resources. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana framing media online membentuk wacana publik atas kebijakan tersebut, khususnya melalui pemberitaan Detik.com dan Kompas.com. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis framing model Entman yang mencakup empat elemen: define problems, diagnose causes, make moral judgment, dan suggest remedies. Data diambil dari 58 berita yang terbit pada Mei–Juli 2024 (26 dari Detik.com dan 32 dari Kompas.com). Teknik analisis dilakukan dengan kategorisasi isi dan interpretasi naratif per elemen framing. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Detik.com cenderung membingkai isu secara netral dan prosedural, dengan dominasi kutipan elite tanpa eksplorasi konflik atau penilaian moral. Sebaliknya, Kompas.com menunjukkan framing yang lebih reflektif dan deliberatif, dengan mengangkat perbedaan pendapat internal ormas, serta menyoroti aspek moral, lingkungan, dan sosial dari kebijakan tambang. Perbedaan framing ini mencerminkan orientasi redaksional masing-masing media serta posisi mereka dalam struktur kekuasaan media. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa media online tidak bersifat homogen, dan framing berita dapat membentuk persepsi serta wacana publik yang beragam atas kebijakan negara. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi pada kajian framing media digital di Indonesia dalam konteks perbedaan pandangan dalam narasi dan perspektif masyarakat tentang Kebijakan Negara dan sumber daya ala.Kata Kunci: Entman, framing, tambang, Muhammadiyah

Abstract

Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui dan memperoleh gambaran strategi yang dibuat oleh ruang_youthforia untuk meningkatkan jumlah follower yang menjadi segmentasi atau target pasar yang akan menjadi pengguna jasa atau produk dari ruang_youthforia. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu jenis penelitian studi kasus, menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan paradigma konstruktivisme untuk memperoleh hasil yang mendalam berdasarkan pada kondisi dan situasi yang senyatanya dari apa yang ada dilapangan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang peneliti gunakan dengan melakukan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian melakukan analisis data dengan menelaah data-data yang diperoleh dari hasil observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Untuk menguji keabsahan data, peneliti melakukan dengan cara membandingkan, menyatukan, dan menggabungkan seluruh data yang telah diperoleh Hasil dari Penelitian ini, rumusan apakah ruang_youthforia telah melakukan strategi pemasaran untuk meningkatkan jumlah followernya yang akan dianalisa menggunakan Strategi komunikasi pemasaran terpadu (Integrated Marketing communication) yang meliputi Promotion (promosi), Public Relations (Humas), Advertising, Direct Marketing, Personal selling, Publicity, Event, Interactive Marketing untuk mengkomunikasikan visi dan misi-nya.

Abstract

Abstract. Cyberbullying in Indonesia has been a growing problem in recent years. Many cases of cyberbullying on social media have impacted the victims, both emotionally and psychologically. Some of the causes include technological advances that facilitate internet access and social media use, lack of public awareness and understanding of the impact of cyberbullying, lack of supervision from families, schools and communities, and lack of attention from authorities in handling cyberbullying cases. This study aims to analyze how to overcome cyberbullying behavior among adolescents through social control. This research uses a qualitative research model, with data entirely derived from literature studies, secondary data sources in the form of documents, literature both books and articles related to cyberbullying. The researcher used the Miles model of data analysis. The results of this study show that social control is based on norms and religion. Religion can make a positive contribution in overcoming cyberbullying cases by emphasizing the importance of religious values such as tolerance, compassion, and brotherhood. Structurally, the government has made various efforts to overcome cyberbullying, such as providing facilities and infrastructure such as laws and regulations. The government has an important role in overcoming cyberbullying by making regulations and policies to protect victims of cyberbullying. Keywords: Cyberbullying, social control, handling. Abstrak. Cyberbullying di Indonesia merupakan masalah yang semakin berkembang dalam beberapa tahun terakhir. Banyak kasus cyberbullying di media sosial dan berdampak pada korban, baik secara emosional maupun psikologis. Beberapa penyebabnya antara lain kemajuan teknologi yang memudahkan akses internet dan penggunaan media sosial, kurangnya kesadaran dan pemahaman masyarakat tentang dampak cyberbullying, kurangnya pengawasan dari pihak keluarga, sekolah dan masyarakat, serta kurangnya perhatian dari pihak berwenang dalam menangani kasus-kasus cyberbullying. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis cara mengatasi perilaku cyberbullying di kalangan remaja melalui kontrol sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan model penelitian kualitatif, dengan data sepenuhnya berasal dari studi kepustakaan, sumber data sekunder berupa dokumen-dokumen, literatur baik buku-buku maupun artikel terkait cyberbullying. Peneliti menggunakan menggunakan analisis data model Miles. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kontrol sosial berbasis pada norma dan agama. Agama dapat memberikan kontribusi positif dalam mengatasi kasus cyberbullying dengan menekankan pentingnya nilai-nilai keagamaan seperti toleransi, kasih sayang, dan persaudaraan. Secara struktural pemerintah telah melakukan berbagai upaya untuk mengatasi cyberbullying, seperti penyediaan sarana dan prasarana seperti perangkat peraturan perundang-undangan. Pemerintah memiliki peran penting dalam mengatasi cyberbullying dengan membuat regulasi dan kebijakan untuk melindungi korban cyberbullying. Kata Kunci: Cyberbullying, kontrol social, penanganan.

Abstract

Character education can be interpreted as ethics education, moral education, value education, character education, which aims to develop students' abilities in determining good and bad, maintaining what is good, and applying these good in everyday life. The purpose of implementing this Community Service is to increase Partners' knowledge about Character Education so that it can become a stronghold in the person of each participant to dare to refuse invitations to use Narcotics. The implementation method in this counseling activity uses face-to-face and still pays attention to health protocols with the capacity of counseling participants around 15 participants of the Management and Members of Karang Taruna Kelurahan Karet, Setia Budi District, South Jakarta. From the results of the Community Service Program activities, results were obtained based on the Post-test , there was an increase in knowledge of the dangers of narcotics and sanctions for users and dealers and an increase in knowledge of character education.
