Abstract

The service article with the title Dance Training at Banaspatiraja Art Studio to Improve Dance Skills of Studio Members is motivated by the researcher's awareness in improving the quality of dance performance art in East Lombok. So far, the arts ecosystem in East Lombok has only experienced very rapid development but the problem is the lack of actors who are consistent in making dance performance concepts which results in the cessation of regeneration or successors. The purpose of this training is to produce choreographers who not only understand the art of dance practically but also choreographers who are able to create dance concepts accompanied by good dance skills and understand the meaning and values in making a dance. The training was held at Sanggar Banaspatiraja in Masbagik. The method used in the training was the demonstration method combined with hands-on practice and reflective discussion. The results of the training found the emergence of new choreographers from the studio who understand dance both in theoretical and practical perspectives in terms of dance skills. These choreographers then become the successors in maintaining the existence of Banaspatiraja studio.

Abstract

Genetic diversity is one level of biodiversity that is very importan for the resilience of biota in the face of environmental pressures such as cilmater change. However, information on the genetic diversity of red snapper in Kaimana water is still very limited. This study determines the genetic diversity of red snapper (Lutjanus erythropterus) in Kaimana waters, West Papua, to support conservation and sustainable management. The methods used include PCR, DNA sequencing, and phylogenetic analysis using MEGA11, with samples taken from the Kaimana fish market. The results of this study show differences in the percentage of adenine and guanine in sample B81.01, with an average codon composition of 218 codons, where UCU(G) Serine has the highest percentage of 13.8% and RSCU 2.38%, and 20 types of amino acids were detected. Lutjanus erythropterus has 3 haplotypes, with 2 universal haplotypes and 1 specific. In Kaimana waters, the haplotype diversity (hd) value is 0.50000 and the nucleotide diversity (π) is 0.00091, which is influenced by the large population size and high migration ability.

Abstract

This research was about the correlation between students’ vocabulary mastery and their reading comprehension of narrative text. The purpose of this research is to find out is there any significant correlation between students’ vocabulary mastery and their reading comprehension of narrative text at eighth grade in SMPN 2 Simpenan? And how is students’ vocabulary mastery into reading comprehension of narrative text at eighth grade in SMPN 2 Simpenan? This type of research is correlation research with quantitative methods. The sample in this research was class VIII (a) with 30 students. In analyzing the data, researchers used Pearson Correlation to determine the relationship between students’ vocabulary mastery and students’ reading comprehension of narrative text. The research findings showed that the sig value (2-tailed) of 0,000 < 0.05, then between students' vocabulary mastery and students' reading comprehension of narrative text are correlated and the Pearson Correlation value of the two variables is 0.792. In conclusion, r count of 0.792 > 0.05 is obtained, which means H(a) is accepted and H(o) is rejected. So the hypothesis states that there is a correlation between students’ vocabulary mastery and their reading comprehension of narrative text at eighth grade in SMPN 2 Simpenan. Here are some suggestions, English teachers should support students with various methods or strategies that can increase students' vocabulary mastery to improve their reading comprehension, and students should practice a lot to master vocabulary, because vocabulary is one of the very important components in the teaching and learning process.
